    Large pizza with halal pepperoni
    Sara M.

Serving Dearborn for 50 years with consistent, traditional Italian, this bakery has been part of our family meals for a loonnngg time. Their bakery is clean and classic with fast and friendly service. You can feel the love in their shop and taste the love in their food. They are helpful whether on the phone, you stop in for your first time, or your fiftieth. The staff takes care to greet you, answer any questions, and get to the bottom of whatever you need. My family loves the lasagna, both classic and vegetarian versions, but today we're going to share a pizza review! DIB's Old timey, bakery-style pizza with zesty sauce and tangy, melty cheese is baked to perfection. The top of the pizza is browned in just the right areas while the cheese stays stretchy. The crust is thick but its texture is light. The crust alone isn't going to bring tons of flavor, but there's so much between the sauce and cheese you almost need a neutral base. Next time we'll see if we can ask for some extra sauce to dip the crust in, it was that fluffy and yummy! We opted for the halal pepperoni as our topping, which was sliced thin, flavorful, and perfectly crisped. With a ten minute ride home, it arrived at the perfect temperature- still nice and hot. Good carry out packaging! We absolutely love this place. Next time, we're getting their cannolis because they are probably the best in the country!!! Pro tip: you can order lasagna, pepperoni rolls, or pizza uncooked to bake at home at your convenience, or call ahead and they'll bake it fresh for you-- usually done in just an hour. Dearborn Italian Bakery, or DIB as the locals call it, is a local treasure! Give it a whirl :)

The food is very good and the service is extremely excellent prices are reasonable subs, pizza, cheese, coleslaw, potatosalad and all of the selection of cheese and bread

Cannoli paczki with a pudding like filling.

This is a really nice small Italian bakery and deli in Dearborn. The meatballs and sauce are delicious. The service was wonderful. I wouldn't recommend the cannoli paczki. They look terrific but the filling is more of a pudding than actual cannoli cream and it had an odd coconut flavor. We're used to New Jersey, Staten Island, and NYC cannoli cream, which is quite different in flavor and texture. Other than that, everything was great.

Breakfast pizza?? Ok day late from national pizza day and heard about this glorious breakfast pizza on the radio. Since my boyfriend loves pizza and we both had the day off we decided to make a trip here (he's east side!). We each got a slice in addition to cannoli and a cookie shaped like a pair of lips. We ate the pizza in the car- crust, egg, and either ham, bacon, and cheddar or spinach and feta. Glorious! Definitely worth the detour.

I was hoping for more home made items and hot food. If you are looking for some sweets it is worth a stop. A selection of cookies and cannolis.

    Breakfast pizza, so yummy

I found out about this place from my best friend who grew up eating it. I am beyond obsessed. I usually get an unbaked 2-3 times a month. I love their unbaked pizza. I usually get it with just cheese. It comes with instructions on how to cook it(even I can't mess it up). The sauce is great. I have learned people either love it or hate it. And I am beyond sold. I have gotten their huge lunch slices and have tried different toppings that they have that day, and cheese is still my favorite. The breakfast pizza is beyond out of this world. Update: found out their subs are beyond awesome! Yummy bread, fresh veggies and cheese! Love this place

Some of the Romaine lettuce in both salads were brown. The croutons should have been separate, they were soggy after an hour or so. The base of the chafing dishes had quite a bit of water at the bottom and made the lettuce quite wilted quickly. Their house salad has green olives, red onion, carrot shredded, tomatoes and I only saw one pepperoncini. The bread sticks were chewy and good and tasted good with their house ranch sauce too. The better part is the food was able to be picked up earlier than most places.

I love the old school vibes, Frank Sinatra music playing, the elegant white table cloths and the wait staff in tuxedos. It feels like a restaurant out of the Sopranos. Our waiter was great! He informed us of the specials and we both ordered the eggplant parmigiana, which came with a salad, soup (we both had the clam chowder), fresh bread and butter. Our entrees also came with a side of potatoes and green beans. This is a lot of food! We also ordered drinks; a limoncello martini for her, one for me, and I also had a Long Island Iced tea. The martinis were delicious, but the tea was terrible. When the waiter brought out the bowl of fruit and walnuts at the end of our meal along with the check, I almost fell out of my chair!! The prices have drastically increased! I get that we're dealing with inflation, but come on!! $40 for each eggplant parm entree and $54 for 3 drinks!!! Seriously?! We also were not provided with an itemized invoice and had to request one which took forever. The prices on their website are also much cheaper than their current menus. Very deceiving. I used to love this restaurant but I will never be returning.

The standout for me was the Short Rib Pappardelle rich, tender, melt-in-your-mouth short rib layered over perfectly cooked pasta. It's comforting but elevated. The Whole Deboned Branzino was incredibly fresh and flaky, cooked to perfection with clean, bright flavors that didn't overpower the fish. We also had the Honey Zaatar Salmon, which was such a unique combination slightly sweet, herbaceous, and perfectly balanced. And don't skip the truffle fries crispy, aromatic, and impossible to stop eating. And let's talk about the mocktails absolutely amazing. Creative, refreshing, and beautifully presented. It's rare to find a place that puts this much thought into non-alcoholic drinks, and Tiliani nailed it. From the food to the atmosphere to the overall energy, this place is a solid five stars. Definitely somewhere I'd come back to for both a fun night out and a relaxed dinner with friends.

The sauce is tart and a little sweet and there are small chunks of tomatoes here and there which infuse even more flavor with each bite. If you hold up a slice for a little CSI: Pizza action, you're going to see a firm "V" shape on the side profile with a slight bend towards the tip of the slice. As far as I'm concerned, the classics are the way to go. I would say "The Don" is the overall crowd pleaser with a little more cheese than the basic pep but I think I've permanently been converted to the "Moe Greene". It's simple, there's plenty of cheese, and you get to really enjoy the bread and sauce. The "Fredo" is also good if you want something a little different. It has a small dusting of hot sauce and a generous amount of diced chicken and a drizzling of ranch. The chicken and hot sauce are well balanced so you don't feel like you're chugging a bottle of Franks with your pizza.
