I dream about the gelato here! Having visited first several years ago at their Queen West location, I was excited to go back on a recent trip to T.O. The Dundas location is cute with a small seating area in the window. I was treated to a few samples before settling on the Ricotta Rosemary Lemon gelato, a couple cookies, and a pint of the Cheeseboard to go. Epic flavors! Great service, and some really fine baked goods as well.

Fantastic gelato located in Dundas west. Lots of unique flavours and vegan options available. They also sell coffee, cookies and jams. There's a few seatings inside and a bench outside. Green p parking is available on street. No washrooms. Handicapped friendly. Open till late evening. Carton icecream is available for sale

A cool ice cream shop that has unique flavours to choose from. Was craving something sweet after dinner and decided to walk over to Death in Venice Gelato after a quick Yelp search in the area. Upon arriving, there was already a mini lineup inside. The inside was HOT, I found myself already sweating during my wait for ice cream. The line is slow, since everyone takes a while to decide what flavours to try and sample. You get 2 samples per person which is great since their flavours are so different from your usual traditional flavours of vanilla or chocolate. Some of the cooler flavours they have are: mango coconut lime leaf (vegan), peanut butter croissant, bourbon smoked chocolate, mexican spiced chocolate, cheeseboard, blueberry lavender lemonade, boozy tiramisu and more! They also have two soft serve options, when I was there, they had Sicilian Hazelnut and Raspberry + Staranise. In the end after having my two samples, I opted to go with the Sicilian Hazelnut option and it was truly delicious, a full 5/5 rating. It was creamy and full of flavour, perfect for the summer heat. A great ice cream spot for after dinner and during the summer.

Good tasting gelato. Nice that it's a neighbourhood shop. Price is 5.99 for a single scoop. And it costs extra if you want a cone. I had a single scoop matcha vanilla nothing too strange but someone told me their cheeseboard is famous so I'll have to come back to try it.

I went to the location inside The General Assembly Pizza restaurant. (333 Adelaide St W) $6 for 1 scoop, kinda pricey! I got the Pistachio flavour and it was kind of a let down. I was expecting it to be fully pistachio but it had citrus bits in it and it threw the flavour off. Service was alright, server allowed me to taste the different flavours. Ambiance was nice since it is located within another restaurant. You can see the counter when you first enter the location.

Tried the boozy tiramisu in their sugar cone this time! Creamy with a hint of alcohol but not strong enough for my liking. $8 for a cone and one scoop is on the pricier side.

Coconut vanilla was mainly coconut - and very rich & creamy, with a slight gumminess (since it's vegan). The vanilla was quite subtle. There was just a touch of coconut strips - enough to make the texture interesting, but not enough to annoy the palate and spoil the overall creamy texture. They still do sampling during covid (yay!) Nutella cookie had a higher cocoa than expected. Water buffalo milk, honey & dates was rich but mild tasting (the honey and dates were definitely to accentuate the water buffalo milk). Smoked hay honey was interesting; was reminded of chocolate (probably the smoked honey) but could also smell the hay.

I walked past this gelato shop while I was in the neighborhood and I was pleasantly surprised. This is a very cool and trendy gelato shop with many interesting flavour combinations. I am a big fan of Chef Nuit, so when I saw the sign for coconut pandan flavour, I had to try it and it was just as good as it sounds! Highly recommend this shop.

When I found out they were going to deliver to the suburbs during the pandemic I had to order some for the family. I'm really glad they are offering this service to their customers because a lot of people who used to work downtown would stay back to dine and wine after work. This is a great way to connect with customers who are now working from home in the 905. I ended up getting two flavours. Mexican Spiced Chocolate and Mango Coconut Lime Leaf. The spiced chocolate is not something I expected at all! There is a good kick to it and a great after taste of cinnamon that really takes it to the next level! Spicy ice cream. Now that's a concept! The Mango Coconut Lime Leaf on first bite tasted like I was slurping on green Thai curry! The coconut milk makes the gelato thicker than normal, almost like a soft pudding. It's great to pair it up with some fruits like strawberries or blueberries. Follow them on instagram to see when and where they are delivering to the suburbs. It's worth it!

I gotta come back to try the interesting flavours! They only had basic flavours like raspberry margarita when I went... really friendly people! I'd come back to try pad thai or vinegar flavoured gelato haha. Nice earthy decor with rustic wood tables, white metal chairs and open windows in the summer.

Location/Service - Along Queen street (east of Bathurst, west of Spadina), accessible by TTC and car; street parking available and I believe near the side streets as well - When I went, they're going renovations and the gelato bar is only open; but once they're complete with renos, it will be all vegan gelato with better furniture and interior - Staff were friendly and nice; you can taste all the flavors before making your selection (which helps a lot!) Food - Decided to go with the Pistachio Baklava Yogurt - Anything pistachio is always a must try in my opinion; and this doesn't disappoint - they use real pistachio (i.e. you can actually taste the nuts) and it's more yellow-ish in colour (green ones are artifical) - The gelato was very smooth and on sweeter end since it's baklava, but it blended well together with the pistachio; really enjoyed this combo - Also sampled the raspberry tandori, which is sour and has a good spicy kick at the end (might not be everyone's favourite); cold brew vegan, basically is strong dark coffee, bitter but refreshing One scoop in a cup was around $5, which is pretty reasonable. I'll definitely swing by and come back to try their different flavors - like their creativity like Carrot Yuzu, Black Garlic Fennel, Blueberry Lavender Lemonade

Had Death in Venice Gelato bookmarked for a while after hearing about all the pallet interest, yet unthinkable gelato flavours. Decided to walk in and see what was on the menu this week. They had a new Pumpkin Stout Vanilla Caramel flavour which we opted to try. Had a light creamy pumpkin flavour to it, which was surprisingly tasty when mixed with a sweet fruity flavour in the Peach Champagne. Loved the Boozy Tiramisu flavour. The Pistachio Yoghurt & Baklava flavour I felt could have had a stronger Pistachio taste. After reading some of the reviews, I'll definitely be trying the Lemon Ricotta Rosemary flavour along with the next featured flavour that'll give you that "I can't believe that's a flavour, yet I want to try it" feeling.

After my first visit, this place easily became my favorite gelato place. I got so curious to sample their unique flavour gelatos and felt like I was at creative, exotic flavour gelato paradise!! Had one single scoop of Quince & Champagnes and another scoop of Vanilla, Saffron & Ginger. Both of them were packed with their own flavours and had very rich and smooth texture for my liking. Definitely will go back to try more!!
