Amazing I've cream! Long line and huge portions. The only negative about this place is that they're only open for 5 hrs each day on the weekend. My sister loved the tres leches and keeps saying we need to go back soon. I loved the passion fruit sorbet. A lot of thought goes into these flavours and I'll have to go back for the majicha as they were unfortunately all sold out when we visited

Amazingly inventive flavours. Tried different ones via taste test and my wife and I had to go with the sampler - a tray of four flavours - so we could eat more. We got the machija brownie (matcha and hojicha icecream mix with brownie bits), halva strawberry swirl (sesame icecream with strawberry jam and halva bits), tres leches (milk icecream with cake bits) and banana (banana icecream with banana bread bits). Loved the machija brownie and strawberry halva the most - super dustinct flavours with yummy mix-ins that complemented both taste and texture of the base icecream. Besides the unique flavours, really loved how creamy the icecream was. Prices were reasonable. Service was quick and friendly. Mainly a takeout spot (limited seating with only a small table and bench outside) but easy to grab a go. Will be back for more!

Tried them out when they were at the Food & Drink Festival in March 2024, when they told me they're gonna be at Cabbagetown I was stoked! Now they've finally setup shop and I'm obsessed! Their flavours are a mix of Asian & classic flavours. My fav is the Majicha Brownie, so many brownie bits! They gave their all!

This is a new ice cream and gelato shop that recently opened on 2023-06-03. Prior to this location, they had a popup at Stackt Market for the past month. Not only do they sell ice cream, they also sell an Ice Cream sammie ($9.50), Eclair with Ice Cream ($8.50), Chocolate Rocher ($5.25), Cookie ($2.85), and Iced Teas ($5.25). The Rocher is a brownie, filled and topped with crunchy chocolate-hazelnut covered feuilletine. They have 15 very exotic flavours. Some are gelato, and some are vegan. It was hard to choose because there were so many flavour combinations that I've never heard of before. There are many different size choices: - snack (one flavour): $3.25 (cup or sugar cone) - single (one flavour): $5.25 (cup or sugar cone) - double (two flavours): $8.50 (cup or sugar cone) - sampler (four flavours): $12.50 The two female owners/operators are very helpful. You are allowed up to 2 taste samples. They use a tea spoon that can be washed and reused; they have many of these spoons, so they are washed in batches. The cups and little spoons are 100% compostable. I'm glad they are environmentally conscious. I chose to have a snack size in a cup, with the Salted Yuzu flavour. I like trying new flavours. I knew Yuzu had a tart and fragrant (citrus) flavour. I figured the salt would bring out some sweetness, and it did. So I'm quite happy with the flavour. I must visit them and try other flavours! Two people came in and ordered two samplers, with 8 different flavours. They offered me to take pictures of it. Of course! I would never resist. The store is mostly takeout-only. It is down a flight of steps. There is a wooden bench in front of the store at street level. It is easy to miss if you don't have the street address. There is no free WiFi. The restaurant is not wheelchair accessible. There are no customer washrooms. There is paid neighbourhood street parking. Review 2023-192

Delicious ice cream! It is a takeout space in the lower unit of the building with no indoor seating (there is a bench across the sidewalk in front of the restaurant). Their flavours are asian inspired and very unique. We got the ube flan and majicha brownie. The flavours were strong in the best way! We also sampled the chocolate soba cha - so good. The line was long but it moves pretty quick. I cannot wait to come back and try their other flavours!!

Stumbled upon this ice cream joint on the way home. It's downstairs from TASSO so you can easily miss it. Cute shop where it's just take out and a line formed once we got there. A lot of unique flavours and sadly I could only choose one. Went with the Lemon Poppy Pistachio and the combination of the 2 complimented well and satisfied my craving. Good to know this hidden gem is nearby where I am and will be dropping by multiple times this summer!

Small ice cream shoppe with limited outdoor seating and out-of-this-world flavours. At $3.25 for a single scoop it doesn't break the bank either. I planned on just *trying* the ube (you can sample up to 2 flavours) but it was actually so insanely delicious I thought I don't care what the other ones taste like, I need a full scoop of that. The Vietnamese coffee/tiramisu flavour was good too, as was the yuzu if you like something lighter and refreshing. Can't wait to go back and try them all. They also do ice cream sandwiches and even an Eton Mess on Fri/Sat/Sun. Call ahead to order pints. Expect a quick moving line.

This spot is such a hidden gem! I got the ube flan and tres leches scoops in an eclair. The ice cream had an amazing chewy texture and was very thick and creamy. I also loved the eclair - they warm it up right before so it's fresh. I sampled their matcha hojicha brownie ice cream too - highly recommend that flavour as well! The staff here were great! This will definitely be my go-to spot for ice cream downtown.

So the bear itself in the affogato was a solid icy chunk of milk (coz we chose the milk flavour) that just frozen. We added the affogato on top of it and while it looked aesthetic, the dessert didn't make sense at all. We were unable to break the frozen chunk or be able to mix it with the coffee and the coffee mixed with that frozen chunk submerged tasted really bad. Paying $16 for that wasn't worth it at all. The bingsu was good though. We got the mango bingsu bowl and it came loaded with mangoes and a marshmallow and an oreo cookie to make it look pretty! I don't think I'd come back to try anything else here. Was a little disappointed.

Delicious desserts, waffles ice cream, smoothies, and more. We ordered: Medium Mango Smoothie - $7.95 Simple Pleasures Waffle - $15.50 The waffle was light and fluffy and the toppings of fruit and chocolate were a great combination. I requested to be lighter on the chocolate but there was still a LOT of chocolate on our waffle. The mango smoothie was refreshing and sweet. I started going to Holy Choco when they first opened and their service was really good from some of the owner. Super attentive and caring staff. Unfortunately, it's since gone downhill since they've hired new staff and we had a number of small problems when visiting this time (dirty tables, dirty cutlery, requested if our food could be put in to go containers because they didn't want to do dishes, unfriendly, etc.) I hope they improve upon these staffing issues soon. Their seating area is good for friends and groups to loiter. Also, if you plan on bringing a laptop, they have MANY OUTLETS!!

For items: we chose strawberry, banana, halal marshmallow, waffle bites, brownie bites, and Oreo with a round of cappuccino's ($5.50 each). The interior is nicely decorated with a cute angel photo op in the back, and window bar seats and couches to choose from. Great spot for 2-4 people. The only criticism I could have was it took a while to get our order. So, it's not one of those places you can be dipping into expecting to be done in 20mins! We stayed for nearly 3 hours and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.
