Ian did two small tattoos, was in and out in 45 min. Pretty clean place, super chill vibes, happy with the results. Nice place.

I got a tattoo by Janel. And i'm not going to say she didn't do a good job on the tattoo. But she has horrible business management. Is rude af and gyps an extra $80 for not doing HER math correctly. I wouldn't recommend getting a tattoo from her or this place at all. Make sure you actually have them pay attention to the pricing because you might end up over paying and they are no help to fixing any of THEIR mistakes. Fuck this place and her. She will block you like she blocked me after miscommunication and being rude as fuck.

I can't express enough how happy I am that I found this place! I've debated for years on getting a tattoo and finally wanted to go through with it. Not a whole lot of places are open on a Sunday. I went to one shop in Tracy but didn't get a good feeling about it. I decided to check out this place because of the reviews I read. It's clean and not seedy/shady at all! Steve is an amazing artist and such a nice guy! I showed him a picture of what I wanted and how I wanted to change it, and he sketched out something that was awesome! He made me feel very much at ease and I was genuinely stunned with the finished result. It completely exceeded my expectations! I will be recommending One Sixteen to everyone I know! Thoroughly impressed!!!!

I just got my second tattoo today. This experience was WAY superior to my experience with my first tattoo. I got tattooed by Steve, and it was a pleasure! He's really funny and a great guy. He told me he has 16 years of experience, which makes sense! He also helped me get through the process (as the ankle was more painful than I thought). He was concerned and always checking on me. I am incredibly happy with his work and I will be coming back when I want to get tattooed again. Also, general good things to know: the shop is very clean and well-maintained. The staff is friendly and are hilarious. They require a deposit, which is a good sign; it makes people keep their appointments! Steve gave me a sample of Aquaphor and an aftercare instruction sheet afterwards. He also wrapped my tattoo up very well. If you're going to get a tattoo, PLEASE consider one sixteen!! read more

My wolf tattoo, had it done a year ago March 2019 the white stars in the galaxy leaves faded out after a week but only cus white is really shitty, the overall tattoo took 3-4 hours one sitting and I still absolutely love it a few spots where the black outline came off while in process healing but I just didn't have time to go back in for a touch up I still give it 5/5 I've also had my dream catcher on my side done here still looks great! Friendly staff. Great designs. Perfect work. I've tried several other tattoo parlors in the area, and none of them come close to Death Ray's service. I just got a tribal dragon on my chest. Amazing shop with amazing talent I've gotten alot of tattoos from deathray. The vibe is Hella laid back and funny. The manager wes is funny as hell robbie does great work I recommend going to him. It's just a good place to hangout get tattooed and have a laugh. I recommend this tattoo shop I would give them 10 stars but this strip website only goes up to 5 stars. Vern is really good too I recommend him for portrait style tattoos. It's a great time there. read more

Went in for a consultation and waited nearly 20 minutes without being greeted. Who ever was working was more concerned about talking to a random person and cleaning toilets for an apprenticeship. Never had service at a tattoo shop quite like this. Based on the tattoo prints on the wall, looks like they know what they're doing. I won't be coming back to this place. I went in late Saturday night and was greeted by Ian. I gave him a picture of a quote I wanted on my clavicle. He told me he would draw it up and I made an appointment for the next day. I was extremely happy with the design Ian came up with. He made me feel very comfortable because I was really nervous. My tattoo came out better than I ever expected. Walked in this place not knowing what I wanted. Talked to Steve and was given some good advice, came back the next day with an idea and made an appointment. Steve is awesome and very talented in what he does. This is not my first tattoo but i must say it was probably my best experience getting a tattoo and the best work I have had done. My wife and I got tattoos for the first time. My wife was very nervous and I stressed this to girl that gave us the tattoos. We had to correct the transfer paper several times as it didnt look straight. Unfortunately this upset her as she stressed how busy she was. We had an appointment and being a first timer we thought she would've been more understanding. I felt bad and I offered to compensate her for the 10 minute delay. Although I assured her severaI times that I would make the lost time it didn't change her attitude. No body wants to get a tattoo from someone who is upset with you.Unfortunately she started the work and I didn't want to upset her even though she was making my feel uncomfortable.She did good work for what we asked for but we didn't not have a good experience as this was our first time. We just wanted to warn first timers not to expect any sympathy from her. For my self it did not matter i was just concerned about the wife. I would not recommend this place if this is your first time. I still compensated her extra as I promised i just felt if I didn't she wouldn't do her best. Steve is the best tattoo artist I've been to without question, and adding to that, the cleanest shop I have seen. I've been searching for the right tattoo artist to upgrade an existing tattoo, and found many great reviews on Steve. The reviews are accurate. He is passionate about what he does, and a true professional. I like how detailed he is with his art work from color to linings. I wish I found him a long time ago for my previous tattoos. But both tattoos by Bobby healed BEAUTIFULLY and didn't peel at all which was amazing! I will definitely be back and definitely recommend Bobby. My ONLY complaint... is the shop is cash only... which isn't a huge deal... BUT their on site ATM only dispenses (I think) $300 at a time... and tattoos aren't often less than that price... so you have to do multiple transactions and pay multiple transaction fees to take cash out from their ATM. She constantly ignores my messages and yet makes posts for wal ins or future appointment. I paid $300-$350 for a tattoo that 1.Was not complete 2.Not touched up My boyfriend got a tattoo from the other people there they were great absolutely amazing people but this girl she need to go back to school to be taught communication or someone needs to teach her how to use a phone.

He gave me a quote for the work I wanted done, I responded in less than 5 minutes asking which days he had available, and he never responded to that. Pretty crazy people do business like that these days... it must be this new generation... I'm from the old school lol. Anyhow thanks to Instagram there are many other talented tattoos artists to be located. Even taking a trip to LA is worth it for some ink these days. They got skills down there. I think it's time to update my previous review since it was over 2 years ago. I now have 10 tattoos and a full cover-up sleeve done by Steve. I get compliments everywhere I go about the line work, the details, the beautiful colors..the list goes on and on. If you are in the market for a new tattoo, look no further than Steve and his crew at One Sixteen! me and my sister came in to get matching sister tattoos since she was moving away to Washington , we got a good quote from lucky and made an appointment for a few days later he drew up beautiful stencils of the roses and quotes we were getting for a great price . I went with my mom (& practically whole family lol) to get a tattoo. Steve is freaking hilarious. My family and I are pretty out spoken and we were talking about farts and all kinds of stuff lol. He was totally cool with the conversation and at one point he was laughing so hard he was practically crying. Haha. The experience was a memorable one! Around the end of 2024, my mom & sister both passed away. I decided to get my first tattoo at 55 years old. I wanted to get their signatures tattooed on my wrists. Consistency is key! And believe me the artist here are amazing! Walked in the first time over a month ago and got a tattoo from virg (a humming bird) it was late and this guys was great! Made sure I left happy! Walked in today while my boyfriend was getting tattooed and Kendra added ( a compass) to the previous tattoo I had gotten. It's so beautiful! This tattoo shop is by far the most professional and cleanest I've ever seen! The artist , Steve, is amazing . I barely had to tell him an idea of what I wanted and he had the drawing done in like 10 minutes and it was better than I even had in mind. They understood what we were going for and gave us both a beautiful tattoos. Both men were very kind and understanding when my husband got a little light headed.
