I took my new to me 2 year old Bernedoodle to Debbie's within the first week of having her. Bella was very skittish and shy during this time and I was worried about subjecting her to any kind of unpleasant experience. Finally, her coat was so long that her underside was becoming covered in mattes so I made an appointment ASAP. Debbie's was able to get her in right away, was cheaper than PetCo and PetSmart, charged a flat fee (no extras for the mattes), and best of all they were able to calm Bella down. She came out looking great, didn't have any nicks, and she seemed to have been calmed by the experience. Debbie's was very understanding, didn't judge the fact that she had some matting, and had her back within a few hours. 10/10 experience. read more

I needed a groomer for my dog last minute and luckily was able to get her in at Debbie's. I dropped her off at 1030 am and I received a call that she was completed around 2. I found the price to be reasonable and the location easy to find. My dog is a 3 year old husky who was shedding her weight in fur and when I picked her up she smelt and looked great. I have taken my boy Bearsy to Debbie's several times now. I have been happier here than I was at another in town groomers. I have a 20-25 min drive so I knew I would be waiting for a while and when I mention that they did a super quick job. The price might be a few dollars less then elsewhere but that wouldn't be much of a factor in my decision to go there. It might be worth checking out. read more

I wish I could say they did an awful job but his groom was decent. But I cannot imagine the pain my poor pup went through during his groom. When he came home he didn't allow us to touch his underside. The following day we were able to see that his nipple had been shaved off. His test*cles had been cut as well and his urethral opening as well. There were cuts in his under arms as well. He was there from 8 am to 2pm I cannot imagine what my little guy went through. None of it was mentioned to me at pick up. I would've understood if they mentioned it but instead I had to find out on my own or if he was uncooperative I could've just picked him up but they said he did well. If you're looking around for somewhere to take your long hair dog, this isn't the place. I asked them to shorten his coat and brush since he gets hot, they shaved his entire body down to a quarter inch. His coat is destroyed now. It is unbelievable to me that a place that claims to be a dog groomer doesn't know how to work a dogs long coat and just cuts the entire thing off. Then they blamed me because I said I wanted it shorter. Absolutely, do not go here. read more

During the whole Coronavirus outbreak many groomers were closed. Therefore I called Debbie's dog grooming and they had an appointment. First of all the location of the groomer was in a horrible spot. It was in a old rundown house. Inside was extremely dirty and on organized. We made an appointment for 10 o'clock and she told us we would have to come back at two or three to pick my dog up. The lady that helped us in the front was very rude.I do not recommend bringing your dogs here. read more

If you want your dog to come back BLEEDING this this the dog groomer's for you! This place is horrible! We just moved to town and took our two dogs here. When I dropped my two dogs off (1 is a Shih Tzu mix and 1 is a Siberian Huskey mix) to be groomed I asked that my little dog not have his nails clipped as he has issues with them and I do them myself. The lady at the front desk acted very uninterest in my request but said ok. I just had a gut feeling this was not the place for my dogs and boy was I right! When I picked my dogs up they were both acting upset and my Siberian Husky chewed through his leash and was visually upset. I just assumed it was just due to being at a new dog groomer's. When I arrived home I noticed my Siberian Husky licking himself a lot and upon examining him I found his skin was bleeding in multiple spots! Also the bottom of his paws were bright red. I immediately looked at my other dog and found everything to be fine except for his nails were clipped. :( I called and spoke with the owner and she told me that the groomer was just trying to do a good job. She then proceeded to say that maybe my dog has sensitive skin!? What?! My dog is 5 and never has he bleed from going to the groomer's! Moral of the story. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE!!!!! read more

BE AWARE THEY MAY CUT YOUR DOG AND THEN DENY IT!!!!! I took my boxer/mix in to get her nails cut. The staff was not talkative and seem unprofessional. The owner was sitting in the middle of all the dogs getting their hair cut and the hair flying around, eating her food (gross). They cut my dogs foot tremendously. I have pictures of the cut. Because he was making her scream from cutting almost all her nails too short, she was jumping around. Because she was jumping around he missed her duclaw and cut completely through her skin about 7mm deep. I called the owner and she was rude, ignorant and pretended none of that happened all though she was sitting there the whole time. She said theres nothing she can or will do about it because I had already left the grooming place. I told her that my mom brings her 3 dogs there every 3 weeks and she just lost my mom as a customer and she did not even care. HEARTLESS OWNER AND STAFF!!!! After Penny passed away we took our loved but onrey toy poodle to Debbie's. She earned her money with Nicky, but she always looked beatiful after her grooming. Now we take our beloved puppy Mistie Merrie for her grooming to Debbie' s. She looks adorable and is always happy to go. They do more than just wash.. fluff.. and puff these pooches. Tami has always been pleasant and agreeable. I have been taking my dogs there for about 3 years now. Yes, sometimes they get nicked accidentally, I have nicked my dogs and cut their nails too short sometimes....thats a hazard of the business. I have had those kinds of experiences with Petsmat and Petco groomers. I am always able to get an appointment when needed. They have been really patient with a recent rescue of mine that bites. They have painted the quaint little cottage they do business in and put potted plants on the porch and stairs---absolutely adorable. Every time I have visited, the place has been clean other than the to=be=expected pet hair. Their prices have always been reasonable and after a long time of no price hikes, they have raised their prices, but still very reasonable. read more

When I first started taking my 2 dogs everything was great. Then as time went on the youngest was skittish about going. During the 2nd to last visit I was told that she nipped so they had to put a muzzle on her. I thought that was odd as she's a super loving girl and have never had issues with her before. Time went by and took the girls in a few months ago and got a phone call that they couldn't cut her hair as she was aggressive with them. They couldn't even get the muzzle on her. I asked what did you guys do to her as she's the most gentle dog ever. They denied doing anything I call BS on it as while I was there to pick her up I saw them jerking on other dogs leashes while cutting hair telling the dogs to hold still don't move and then jerking on the leash. That's abuse. No wonder she nipped at them. Dangit I would have also. DON'T EVER TAKE YOUR PETS TO DEBBIES. My girl is scared to death to get her hair cut. This was my first time here, i was very excited as this is a seemingly quaint family run business.. with times being tough right now, i try and do my best to help support local businesses. It is unfortunate having to write this review for the same reason. My pup is a Havanese, 11 months old, with long luscious, still puppy hair locks. When going in, i had few very specific requests for my pup, pita. His hair was about 6" on his body and i asked to keep the length as i explained i am VERY attached to his still puppy long hair with brown streaks which once cut, may not grow back, and to only trim if necessary for any matts. I was very clear about this. Lastly, for health reasons, i also requested for them not to drain his anal glands. When picking him up, to my shock, his long locks were completely shaved off and only left with approximately an inch left. I was honestly heart broken. In addition, two pink bowties were put on him as the woman (the owner) who groomed him somehow kept referring to him and thinking he was a female dog. I called and spoke with her about my disappointment, and she explained to me she thinks he looks cute and they did not have the right kind of trimmers to keep the hair any longer than an inch - inch and a half. Again, this was not communicated to me and i would have taken him somewhere else if i had known. I also asked if his anal glands were drained.. they said yes, they had drained them. In the end, being a paying customer i was extremely clear on what i wanted and not even one of my requests were listened to - only ignored and pushed aside. The groomer decided to groom my dog how she wanted. I will not be returning and if you are someone who has specific requests and likes your dog to have long locks, i would highly not recommend going here. Took my mom's dog in today and observed for a little bit. Owner was absolutely disgustingly rude! I needed a minute to find a picture of what to cut his hair like and she DID NOT want me there! It took me a little while to search on my phone for the picture and she was very uncomfortable. Said "I have work to do," and walked off. I totally understand needing to get back to work, but she was very rude about it. When I did find it, she saw me standing there and totally ignored me for a good 10-15 minutes. In that time, I observed her yelling at the dog she was grooming, chastising her employee, and rude to me. By this time they had our little pup in the back. Got my mom's blessing and just asked for our puppy back and walked out those doors! No way!!!! Bad feeling all the way around! This business does not deserve a loyal customer! read more

They are great about taking you in on the spot for nail trimming.....but I have had a couple of blooding from nails incidents. Won't go back after the last one. I had a bloody mess in my car and at home all over my carpet. It took a long time to stop the bleeding. read more

Worst experience ever. My poor puppy was at this place for 6 hours locked in a cage so that they could do a horrible job cutting her hair. First off they did not give her a bath or clip her nails. They cut her fur down to the skin leaving her with bald spots. They mangled her ears so bad it looked as if she got in a fight with a lawn mower. I brought my dog in once before and left unsatisfied, unfortunately I needed a same day appointment and they were the only groomers who had an opening. I decided to give them a second chance and horrible regret it. There is a reason they are the only groomers that had a same day appointment. Crummy environment, workers with horrible attitudes, and apparently they do not care about the well being of your animals or if you pleased with how they look. Our dog has very long hair. Her hair was matted, tangled, dirty, she was looking like a total gal loot! I got tired of trying to cut her hair myself. No matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't do it, and I nearly through her out the window countless times! You have to have some major patience! Everything about my experience was incredible. I was so incredibly surprised and shocked when i picked up my little cinnamon from Debbie's! She did such a good job! Just truly incredible! I don't know how she did it. Every nook and cranny was beautiful. I have never seen her look this good. How Debbie got her chest, belly, butt, face, and feet cut so short and perfect is a mystery!, and my family can't stop talking about it. They are so thrilled! I was secondly shocked with her price! She really should charge more! It's half the normal price! With the price this low I'll be able to easily keep up with her fast growing hair and keep her looking good always!.
