I found this little gem on a Tuesday night driving around Montebello with my best friend. We decided "why not, let's have a girls night" and found this nail shop in the corner of a plaza and decided to get our manis and pedis done! The workers there were super friendly. We went closer towards closing time, SO SORRY, but they were able to accommodate us as last customers, and walk ins. I was assisted by Wasabi and Nina. They helped me decide which designs I wanted to get. Wasabi was extremely gentle with my fingers nails since I have sensitive skin. He's been working in the nail industry for 20 years and it definitely shows in his work. Nina was very gentle on my toes and painted my toe nails super quickly. She's a very strong lady for her age. Lastly, I was assisted by Monica. She is a PRO heart shaper. I asked for valentine designs and she got me in and out so quickly. Overall, everyone was extremely patient and accommodating to me and my choices. My best friend also agreed that we were so happy to run into this nail shop. Definitely go check them out! read more

My appointment was at 9am with Janet. When i arrived i was not seeing till 9:20am as she was working with another client. She was on a rush to do my nails and cut my cuticle. Didn't apologize, just kept working. Janet proceeded to put the gel nail polish and I accidentally hit my nail on the machine you put your hands in. She seemed bothered by it, told me to be careful and WIPED the polish off and added more on top. I was done, so i paid and tipped the lady and went on my way. The next day I noticed the finger she had wiped the polish off looked weird along with two other nails. I called her and she agreed to fix it. I went in she removed the polish and re polished both mails since that was the issue. I put my hands in the machine so the gel can set but she was in a rush and said i was done before the machine turned off. This morning the gel lifted on my thumb and my middle finger is also looking wonky too. I went but being labor day she closed. I had to go het it fixed at Another salon that thankfully was open. It is very inconvenient for the consumer to have to travel twice to get something so simple fixed. Moral of the story, dont over book as your service can cost you a customer. I wont be returning. read more

Anne has mastered her craft, she's a workaholic, and an insane talent. She's quick but still a perfectionist. The girls of Debbie's mix their own colors so you'll even have a unique color. But back to Anne; her nails stand out because she does a very thin layer of acrylic and shapes your nails to give it a subtle look. She can do round, oval, square, or Rihanna claws. I started going to Debbie's Waxing when I lived in Whittier over 10 years ago and I've been going to Ann for my nails since then..., even though I've actually moved twice.., I lived in Simi Valley for a couple of years and now live in San Dimas. I have no problem making the drive because I know I will always be satisfied with the quality of their work. I have to admit that it is not the nicest nail salon you'll see and that parking is not great but I'd rather suffer a little inconvenience than go anywhere else. It helps that their prices are more than fair. Anywhere else I'm sure I'd pay a whole lot more for half the great service they provide. The ladies that work there are great! They are friendly and always greet you with a smile. Ann is gifted in the art of nails. As far as I'm concerned there's no one who does nails as well as she does and Debbie took my unibrow and turned it into two perfectly arched eyebrows. I don't think I'll ever go elsewhere. read more

I have been coming to Debbie since middle school. Seriously, bushy, thick eyebrows. It wasn't pretty. Debbie introduced me to the glories of waxing and it's been hard to find a good waxer since. She really set the bar. Her hand is steady and her prices are reasonable. Her daughter works side by side with her and she is just as good. It's nice to see that Debbie finally has her own salon, as I know before she was working in a few other salons. My favorite service of hers is the eyelash perm. Probably super dangerous but she does such a good job and my eyelashes don't need to be curled. It lasts about 2 months and my eyelashes look done every morning. Only $25, which in this industry of gimmicks, is a real steal. I come here whenever I am in town and even wait to get any waxing service until I can see Debbie. Debbies Waxing & Nails - Simple and cute! Birthday nails! Had to start somewhere after 2 yrs of NO manicure! - Nail Salons Near Me - Montebello , California

I believe Mai was my technician and this was one of the worse, if not the worse, nail experience I've had. 1. She had to stop working on my nails every few minutes to answer phone calls or her personal cell phone. 2. The sides are not painted on some of my nails, I've even pointed it out on one particular nail that was horrible, but then gave up as it would have meant pointing out 5 other nails done poorly. 3. I did not have gel color on and mentioned this but she still tried to put the foil on my fingers (maybe because she was also on her phone during this time). Once she realized this, she STILL used the machine thing over my REAL NAILS and left them scratched up for no reason?!?! I still have no idea why she did this. 4. I had to pay extra for her to clean my cuticles, and they look WORSE OFF now than they did before the "cleaning"!! 5. There is a tiny piece of lint stuck on my pinky with polish over it. Any good technician would have noticed this and fixed, but she was probably too lazy. 6. I was suppose to do a pedicure as well but just could not bear staying any longer so paid for my poorly done manicure and left. Will not be returning, absolutely horrible work. read more

Horrible!!!! Had a long wait, only three people working then more came in maybe almost an hour of my wait. The guy there did my nails. He criticized my nails to begin with and told me he was going to do a better job than the place I am currently going too. (It is a distance to me hence me coming to this salon) I asked him if he could cut my cuticles and he told me "I know what I am doing" super rude. He didn't even cut them after all. He did my nails pretty fast I got a fill and gel and it was $28. Wasn't til I got home I had glue on me still, the sides of all my nails were not painted and I had left over acrylic under all my nails I had to peel off myself, the lengths were not even... Tammy and Mei are saints! I made a late appointment due to me getting off work at 6pm. They were able to attend me. I got a Gel Mani and pedicure plus a wax. Mei was so professional and walked me through my first waxing ever. So happy with the results. The results of my manicure and pedicure are shy off of perfect. I am beyond happy with how it turned out. Tammy worked on my pedicure while Mei worked on my manicure. Although we went beyond closing time, they did not rush. They were very thorough and precise. Anne and May do the best acrylics! Pedicures are done in a non-rushed and professional manner. Debbie does the best eyebrow waxing. The business is always busy and often go by appointments. I visited this location approx 10 yrs ago to have my eyelashes permed (make them curl) and wanted to do again. Found out they had new owners but still wanted to try them out. First visit the woman said my lashes didn't curl because I had thick eyelashes (they are totally NOT thick) told me to come back in two weeks and won't charge me. I came back and tried again, and again they didn't curl. She gave Me the same excuse that my lashes were too thick. I asked for a refund but if course she refused. I would stay away from this place as they don't stand by their service. She was very rude and pretty much asked me to leave because I kept telling her she didn't provide service for what I laid for ($30)!! I will never return to this establishment. read more

I have come here a couple of times for waxing and nails. My friend loves this place so I decided to check it out. For a full set the price is not bad. Since I never make appointments there I always get the same lady doing my nails. I can't remember her name but she used to sit by the door but now she sits where ann used to sit. I love the way her work comes out and always want to come back with her but i don't like how she doesn't clean your nails properly after leaving so your left with acrylic around your nails when leaving. I've gotten the gel manicure with her too and they don't have many colors to choose from maybe 5or 6. In a week the gel was peeling off from my cuticle which was weird because polish chips from the tips. I'm not sure if this is common with gel nails though. Also have gotten a bikini wax from Debbie and it was horrible. She put me in the most awkward position and my leg was killing me! Went back to the Wax Queen after all that there is nobody like her!. Debbie does amazing work in eyebrows no doubt about it. She charges 10bucks for them my only problem is that she double dips her sticks with waxing which is kinda iffy because who knows if she used the same stick with her previous customers. I broke out the next day. But all this is worth it I am real big on beautiful eyebrows and the outcome was amazing. full set french tip-$20 read more

It was my first time coming here. I kept going to different nail salons because I always have a problem with ingrowns. Let me tell you I couldn't be any happier with this place not only where they very sanitary but they also were gentle taking off my ingrowns. I also got a gel mani that came out beautiful!!! I was lucky there was nobody waiting but they recommended to call and make an appointment in advance. I totally recommend this place to anyone. It was a bit pricey gel mani and pedi came out to $33 plus $1 for using my debit and I tipped $9 in total so I came out to $43. The best $43 well spent. Thank you sooo much!!!!!! :) read more

Only place I go to get my waxing and nails done! They just remodeled the place and it looks so amazing (they now have spa chairs too)! They also have a great variety of colors and Janet really listens to her customers ' recommendations for new colors all the time. I always make an appointment with Tammy she's the best but everyone here is recommended especially Janet if you want designs. I made an appointment for a wax and got there right on time. I was asked to wait a few minutes, no problem. The lady who just had her eyebrows waxed walked out and asked her daughter who was just finished with her mani if wanted her eyebrows waxed too, she said yes then went inside to get her eyebrows waxed. I'm now waiting 15 minutes. One of the workers comes to me 5 minutes later and asks if it is okay if they assist another customer before me for an eyebrow wax, I said I needed to be somewhere within the hour and this is why I made my appointment. She said it wouldn't take long. When the one customer walked to the back, 2 other girls walked with her and I heard her say, "Three for eyebrows". At this point I had already been waiting 30 minutes with an appointment. Not happy. I called Disney Nails on Beverly and Wilcox, made an appointment for the next day and had the best experience ever. They use quality products and the lady (owner) is very nice. She didn't rush and makes sure you are very comfortable. I've had a wax at Debbie's before and wasn't comfortable at all. The wax room is very unsanitary and they do not use quality products, but hey I was desperate. After my experience at Disney Nails, I can assure you, I will NEVER go back to Debbie's again. read more
