This past weekend I was in a rush and was in need of some Minecraft balloons ... ya know, as one does. They immediately showed me what they had, which worked perfectly. And I was out the door with three Mylar balloons and half of a dozen of regular balloons in less than 10 minutes. I used to have to pick up balloons a lot when I planned events, and I know the time suck that can come from someone slowly inflating several balloons. That was not the case at all here. They were friendly, and asked me questions about when my party was to determine if the balloons needed to have Hi-Float in them to last longer. I also got to peek at the rest of their selection. For not a huge space, it is chock full of party decorations, costumes and more. This is a great spot to go when in need of some extra party pizzazz!

I've probably visited this place 50 times over the last 20 years. Whether it be for birthday party decorations, graduations, gender reveals, baby showers, wedding showers or even buying makeup or costumes for Halloween and zombie walks. We have given this place a lot of business. I'm not a fan of party supply shopping but I somehow get dragged into going to it a lot. And while I'm not a fan they do have a nice variety Of choices here with semi decent pricing. They do have the largest balloon selection I've ever seen. The service here is so so. You usually won't find a rep on the floor too often and the lines are hit and miss on speed. It really depends on what's happening in front of you. If they don't have many cashiers and the person in front of you is balloon shopping it can become a lengthy wait. Overall cool shop idea that is obviously successful as it been here for well over twenty years. Or maybe it is me and my wife just keeping it open with all the parties and stuff we throw for us and all our kids.

The Sweetest Spot in NuLu! [Louisville KY]…read more On our last day in Louisville we stopped by this candy store before heading to the airport. There was some kind of gutter work going on in this part of the street so parking was limited. Unfortunately, when we came by for ice cream next door on our first day in Louisville the candy shop was already closed for the day. The shop is a small, family-owned business operating since 1921. Inside are displays of handmade candies, delectable treats like Old Fashion Kentucky Bourbons and Muth's Modjeskas as well as unique novelty treats like horseshoe shaped chocolates. I was the first customer and I already knew what I wanted. The chocolates were already pre-packaged, I chose a bag each of the milk peanut clusters and milk chocolate raisin clusters... they were fresh and so delicious! It is well stocked with decorations for almost any party theme including pretty much any Disney, superhero, cartoon, Pixar, animal-themed kids party. There is an entire aisle of candy and small gifts for guest party bags. Several costumes too. And so many balloons! I was able to find several great Mylar and smaller balloons for my son's birthday party. They inflated them there, quickly, and also offer delivery via DoorDash (I think) if you don't want to wait. The prices were fair and on par with what I found on Amazon, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Great all around!
