I have been getting my facials with Colleen for years. I wouldn't say they are just good, they are AMAZING! She does an incredible job making you feel comfortable and relaxed. Her salon is immaculate and designed beautifully. You feel relaxed the minute you walk in the door. All of my children ages 12-20 have had facials with Colleen, my son being one of them. Most of my visits are for waxes - but I've had mini facials, manicures, and pedicures, which have yet to disappoint. Needless to say, several years later, I wouldn't trust anyone else to handle my most personal grooming needs. I am confident enough in Colleen that I ALWAYS have a PREPAID contract with her for unlimited services for a full year. The facility is clean & tastefully decorated. I've gotten waxes at European wax center at several locations and was unhappy with their service (plus I hated when they tried to sell their products. I just got a Brazilian, please stop talking to me lol). I came across this on Groupon. I figured I would give it a shot. Best decision ever. I've been coming here for the past 2 years now. Colleen is awesome! She's quick to reply when you text her and is very friendly/easy to talk to. The facility is cute and clean. Colleen is sweet and endearing in person - sure. She is quick and good at what she does, yes although the wax she uses doesn't pull the hair quite as thoroughly as other salons I've been to so my hair would grow back in faster. Although this may obviously differ per person depending on skin/hair type, etc. What absolutely sucks about Colleen is the fact that her main method of communicating is through texting....Which is fine if her texts were immediate and if she had availability which is basically never. You have to book 2-3 weeks in advance to get a time that is popular for clients to come in (nights and weekends). I booked my 4th appointment with her (I had roughed it out since I had an easy going schedule when I had my first job) and with my new job, I couldn't find the time to match her schedule. As a client, you have to work according to her schedule like scheduling a god awful doctor appointment as if you have to grovel at her feet to get a time in. She finally scheduled me in and never showed up. When I confronted her about it, she listed off reasons almost scolding me like a parent to child,saying I had cancelled on her several times-which happened a grand total of 2 times and basically offered no solution to the issue. A simple "Sorry you showed up when no one was there" would've been nice, or perhaps some customer service/empathy or REFUND. What a joke this place is. She then screen shots my text and sends it to me saying "I never received your confirmation." That offers no evidence since my phone states "message delivered." So I must be the liar, right? To sum things up, if you are a busy working professional that needs some leniency with service and actual options don't waste your time. read more

I had originally bought a Groupon by December Moon for Brazilian waxes. It literally took Colleen 10 minutes per session and the pain was minimal. She was so professional and friendly that I decided to buy a one-year unlimited package (for an excellent price, btw). My appointments are also right on time and the studio is always clean. I haven't tried her other services yet, but I definitely plan to in the future. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ! read more

I purchased the Groupon for 5 waxes- seemed like a great deal. I was worried about getting it because Brazilians can go very poorly, but I read reviews and she had gotten good ones so that made me decide to go. The first appointment was easy to make, she was available and I was able to make one that fit my schedule. When I got there she seemed personable and friendly and she told me she had been working in the business a long time. I prefer hard wax, but unfortunately they only work with soft- which although disappointing was fine. I have been getting waxes for 8 years now so I'm not new to the experience. I ended up very bruised- worse than I had ever been before. I then tried making appointments several times after, they were usually last minute appointments (for that day or the day after) she never had anything. After unsuccessfully attempting to make several appointments (she stopped responding to texts and never called back), I asked her to refund the group on because her schedule never seemed to work with mine. She said that it was fine, but never responded to any calls or texts I sent to actually give me a refund. I had to go through groupon to get my money back, which was another headache. They also don't let me review so that I could possibly stop other customers from having to experience this annoyance, but maybe this will help. I don't know why my experience is so far off from the other reviews except for Meg's, but I wouldn't recommend December Moon for waxing to anyone. read more

I came here on a groupon and the first experience was fine. The last couple times I went Colleen did a poor job on my wax.(I was burned by the wax job and it took me weeks to heal down there). She doesn't usually have many clients but always says shes "booked". It's like mission impossible to get an appointment. She at times wouldn't respond to my calls or texts so I would have to show up there to get service. ( I don't live that far away). I wouldn't go back here not even with Groupon. I've had much better service at other salon & spas. read more
