I've been going to European Wax Center for about three years now, and this location has consistently impressed me. It's always very clean, and the staff is welcoming and friendly. Lauren, the receptionist, is the absolute sweetest--we always have great conversations while I wait. When I first started coming to EWC, I had a waxer who made my first experience so comfortable. She was kind and patient, which really helped since I didn't know what to expect. When she moved on to open her own salon, I began seeing Ashley, and she's been absolutely wonderful. Ashley is incredibly professional and detail-oriented. I usually get my eyebrows, upper lip, sideburns, and chin waxed, and she always preps my skin thoroughly before starting. Afterward, she makes sure to remove any leftover wax residue and finishes by filling in my brows using one of their products--they always look amazing when she's done. Debated for a long time on whether or not to write this review. I have been to this wax center a handful of times for leg waxing and once for Brazilian and had really good experiences with Gena and Jordan. However, my last visit I had booked a Brazilian but couldn't get the waxers I usually schedule with. The waxer that did my Brazilian this last time completely messed up my service. First, she rushed through my legs and left sparse hairs which I didn't make a fuss about. Then when she began my Brazilian she applied an insane amount of wax to my private area and made a massive strip (covering almost the full right side) all the way from the bottom, up the lip and to the top of the mons. I had never seen an application this way especially because my hairs grow in different directions. When she started to pull, the wax was still hot and didn't pull up all the way (became stringy) and was extremely painful. She attempted to remove the wax and ripped at my sensitive skin and it definitely felt like she was not pulling in the correct direction. She attempted the other side but I had to ask to stop because she was causing intense pain and it wasn't getting the hairs up. She then claimed I couldn't be waxed because my hair was not long enough, however I had gotten it waxed previously at that length with no issues or pain! She left pieces of wax that I had to pull out myself when I got home. I ended up with a ton on ingrowns as well after the experience. They removed the Brazilian from my bill, but months later I now have random patches of hair that no longer grow at all. I also acknowledge they tried to call to discuss my experience but I moved away and I won't be returning regardless. I think the franchise overestimates the grab of their wax. They do not have magnifying lights. After spending $100, still need to clean up at home. The whole point of going is to avoid plucking! Not going to commit $900 for their sale after this experience. Staff is nice though. read more

UPDATE: Maddie from management reached out and was profusely sorry for my experience and offered a complimentary visit. I highly appreciate the customer service. I would give this place more stars for the experience alone because truly the staff were very nice. However, my service, although the technician was very kind and professional was not great. I'm walking around with burns on my eyes still 4 days later. Painful and not worth it as my brows weren't even shaped nicely. I'll stick to threading next time! read more

I am beyond happy - go visit Ashley C for any and all of your waxing needs! At first I only saw her for Brazilians (which she does a phenomenal job every time!) Her technique involves the least amount of pain possible! For my eyebrows, they've been messed up for years so I mostly just tweezed them at home and never waxed! However, I was so tired of filling in the missing spots so I drew out what I wanted and asked Ashley if she could do it - she completely understood the assignment and honestly exceeded my expectations. I am so happy with the shape now and no longer need to fill in! Thank you Ashley!!! In addition, I always feel comfortable at this location because it's so clean and well kept. So I thought I would take a chance (and it's been quite some time) and try this European wax center location. I am definitely a hard person to please. I was greeted by a lovely lady Kimani. She was so sweet and personable, like she was an old friend. I met Aaliyah and I'm always nervous when I use somebody new. She was so sweet so professional and very meticulous. The salon itself was beyond clean felt very safe and will definitely be returning. I have to say this is one of the best European Wax Center's I have been to. If you're looking for a new Waxer I highly suggest using Aaliyah. She was wonderful and made me feel so comfortable. Went here on a whim as I was in the area and saw that they have a free wax promotion for first time customers. I got my brows done. They did a nice job and were very friendly. However, there were a couple things that turned me off. 1) they push several types of membership", type programs in which you pay ahead for a years worth of waxing and get a discount 2) the prices are significantly more expensive than any I've seen ($21 for brows) anywhere else. I guess if you're the type to get a lot of stuff waxed, and go very often, the membership thing might work. But don't get pressured into it and check the prices before going or signing up for anything. read more

I have been having trouble finding the right person to properly do my eyebrows for a while. I've tried threading which can yield results but is pretty painful, and yet they still never get my eyebrows looking how I want it. I went yesterday to the European Wax Center and was greeted by two friendly receptionists, one of whom's name was Allie and she was wonderful. She knew exactly what I needed and referred me to Ashley who did my eyebrows exactly how I've wanted them! I couldn't be happier with the result and will definitely come back again. I decided to stop coming here after several months because of poor customer service and lack of wax cleanliness. First off, there was a mix up with my online account and I guess the receptionist created a second account because everytime I checked in after scheduling online- I was asked- is this your first time? It got old quickly and each time the receptionist told me she would have her manager fix my profiles, until after I finally broke and told her how annoying it was to be asked every month if it was my first time. Then she would proceed to try to sell me on a "waxpass" after every appointment- which I am so happy I didnt purchase. At first I was happy with Nathalie, until she kept trying to tell me I had to come in sooner- every 3 weeks because it was apparently too annoying for her to wax me after a month. Then she kept convincing me to buy expensive products for "ingrown hairs". I think she just wanted her tip. Final straw was when I contracted an painful infection right after waxing and am most certainly convinced it came from here. Goodbye EWC! This was my first time at the chimney rock location. The front desk staff are super friendly and welcoming! The wax itself was not what I expected. I have been going to EWC for a few years now and usually have good experiences. This time, it was painful both during and after. I've never experienced any skin pain after until this wax. The pain went away but was uncomfortable for 2 days. However, I don't think it was done properly because I had hair growth within 4 days, which has never happened. I really wanted to give this location a chance, especially with how nice the receptionists were but I'll be going back to my usual location. read more

I went to a first time For a wax of any kind besides my eyebrows and was nervous. It was easy getting an appointment and they followed COVID precautions. Aayala was the person who did my waxing and she was amazing. She explained everything to me at each step of the procedure and had me practice mindfulness at the difficult parts snd it really helped. I was recommended to this facility. For the waxer Aaliyah who came highly recommended .I would have stayed but the front desk is really rude. The front desk her name was Brianna and I was on hold for over 15 minutes trying to book an appointment. I myself work in customer service and the motto is always that the front desk is always who you see first that they are the face of the company. Coming to EWC I was excited this new one opened. My prom is in 4 days and I was very excited until I got my eyebrows done. The woman ripped so much of my eyebrows off. They are very far apart from another and super thin. I don't recommend coming here or to the lady that helped me. read more
