Obviously I missed the stay in your car sign because I'm blind but the guy informed me from a good distance that the current method of getting stuff is to call the number, pay via credit card, and they will run it out to you. This done, I got the part needed to stop hot water from flooding my basement. I probably got it slightly faster than I would have had I wandered in looking for it.

They sell store fixtures - clothing racks and size dividing tags, mannequins, glass display cabinets, and other odds and ends. 23 years ago, they sold lots more - including a huge year round Christmas room where once I needed a tabletop Christmas tree in June for a money tree gift for a wedding. Yep, they had it. Mrs. Mendelsohn once convinced me to purchase a huge pack of tissue paper will all sorts of bad abstract floral prints on it, I mean tons of it, for something like $5. I used that tissue for, well, I still have some if you need it. I've also been known to purchase a huge commercial roll of gift wrap, again super cheap, but that print I tired of and gave away long ago. If you need a life size cardboard cut out of George W. Bush, Elvis, or Darth Vadar - this is your place. If you need a large disco ball, got it. This past visit they were displaying several strands of small mirrored shapes connected by fishing line that hung from the ceiling. I don't know why in the world I'd ever need that, but they are $8 if you have a use for them. (And if you do, let me know what you're going to do with them, because I really wanted to buy some, too, but couldn't think of a practical use!) This is now where I go to buy accessories for the silent auctions I manage - those black velvet displays for necklaces, earrings, and bracelets - ever wondered where people buy those? Now you know. This store isn't much to look at, and the location isn't the best on Dickerson Road - but they've been there forever. They are nice people, and this family owned small business is clearly suffering of late - and now they don't sell much of the decorations anymore since eveyrwhere does, too. But if you need a mannequin, or jewelry display holder, or a large assortment of matching gift boxes or bags... and you don't want to pay retail, then head on over.
