Amazing Transformation! The original goal of our project was to replace our old deteriorating wood deck with composite, expand the footprint slightly, and add under decking to make our space below more usable. We spoke with several contractors and luckily, we ultimately found Frank. Frank had great ideas for our deck as well as for our adjacent screened-in porch. He offered multiple options and broke out the pricing so that we could review and choose what met our requirements and fit within our budget. Frank also introduced us to Moisture Shield Cool Deck composite for our deck- so glad we found it, it looks great and has stayed cool on our feet in the direct afternoon sun (no shade in sight!) When our deck and screened porch was newly built by Decks and More, I wrote a couple reviews online saying how great it is. Six months later, we like it even more. Our old screened porch was usable but run-down (it was around 40-50 years old) and we didn't spend a lot of time out there. Then it got hit by a tree during a storm. It was damaged but not destroyed. First of all, Frank, the Decks and More owner, was able to negotiate us a brand new screened porch with our insurance company, even thought they only wanted to pay for repairs. We did pay Decks and More extra for additional unscreened deck and new stairs down to the back patio, the old stairs were rusting out. During construction, Frank would ask us about a bunch of details about what we wanted on the porch, and we were like, whatever, we hardly go out there. But Frank did a great job and was detail oriented despite us, lol, and now we can't even imagine a time when we didn't hang out on our porch all the time. It's a really beautiful place, vaulted ceiling, diagonal decking, all kinds of nice details. It has actually changed the way I spend time in my house. And, after all this time, Frank stopped by to make sure we continue to be happy customers, and agreed to fix a small gutter issue. Who does that? No one does that! Another great project with Decks and More When it's time to update your home, Decks and More is the company to call. Buh-bye ugly roof over the bay window, overgrown shrubbery, and original siding and iron railings. Frank and I met to share ideas for updates to my home and developed a plan for the following changes- · Change the roof line with a gable roof extension and roof extension on the right side · Decorative cedar brackets under the roof extensions · New siding and shake style siding on the front of the house · New porch columns and rails · Stacked stone (custom-chiseled) along the foundation · New gutters and downspouts · New paint on all side of the home Once again, Frank and his crew exceeded my expectations. After designing a plan, Frank and his crew made suggestions that made the "facelift" even better than I expected. We planned for the gable extension but found the roof line needed to be extended on the right side for better balance. I continue to be amazed by how the materials are custom for each project: the cedar brackets were crafted on site and the stacked stone was chiseled on-site. I was introduced to Frank by the staff at Timbertown when I was searching for a way to apply screens to my 12 x 24 vaulted ceiling porch. I introduced myself to him by phone and explained that I needed advice as to how to actually screen the porch as the screen sizes were 8' x 5' which worried me that that was too large to get a tight screen. He courteously walked me through several options and even though we were going to do the installation ourselves. He chatted with me 5 times and was very helpful. He suggested pre-made screens that would simply screw into the frame. We chose the Screen-Tite product from Home Depot and it went up easily and correctly. I called Frank to give him the update and he was very happy that all had worked out. My son-in-law is contemplating enclosing his porch and I certainly have no reservation at having Frank take a look at the project. There are a lot of companies out there that will do it for less, but Frank Pologruto at Decks & More is the best I've ever encountered. I am not an easy person to work for, and I can be a royal pain in the back-side. He required a small fee up front, but returned about a week later with three different drawings, and a detailed proposal with lots of options and features. Next, we designed a 14 ft x 25 ft = 350 sq ft with a wider staircase, all one level, with an elevated flower box and a built-in bench.
