The eggs were well cooked, with four pieces of meat, a very generous portion of hash browns and a rye toast that is just simply the best in the area where it is the same as I remember from 30 years ago. Relative to staff and facility, it is definately not a newer contemporary facility that many of the restaurants are in the area but is a tad more dated/rustic. Having said that it is defiantely clean and being well maintained where I was totally fine with the environment. Relative to staff, it felt like being at home as you could clearly hear the staff talking/arguing in the background (in a friendly way) where you normally do not hear that in most restaurants in the area. My only gripe, which is fairly significant for me, was after giving me my first cup of coffee they never returned to top it off or refill it during my breakfast which is a big no no for me and really a deal breaker. Not sure if this is the norm but if this were to happen again I probably would not return. For the purposes of this review I did not ding them on this but if it were to happen again I would not return. Overall good food at very reasonable prices is hard to beat and assuming my refill issue was a one off I would definately return in the future.

I've tried my classic order (sesame, scallion smear, lox) and one of their bagel sandwiches (eggs, bacon, tomato, cheese), which are very hearty. They have breakfast and lunch options. They were out of the chicken salad when I stopped in, their egg salad was very good though. The were hustling on a Sunday afternoon, a really hard working staff here, but the staff who helped me remained friendly. I'm excited to try some of their more creative options.
