I lament that Bubbe's Bagels is so far away in Traverse City. The Bagel Spot has filled the bagel void. A good bagel does not need to be toasted, and these are good bagels. They also make their smear (cream cheese) in house and slice their own lox (smoked salmon). The salmon was particularly impressive, it just melts. Their bagels are on the pricier side, but they are large, fresh, and delicious. I've tried my classic order (sesame, scallion smear, lox) and one of their bagel sandwiches (eggs, bacon, tomato, cheese), which are very hearty. They have breakfast and lunch options. They were out of the chicken salad when I stopped in, their egg salad was very good though. The were hustling on a Sunday afternoon, a really hard working staff here, but the staff who helped me remained friendly. I'm excited to try some of their more creative options. read more

I am a fiend for a yummy sandwich and Bagel Spot gets it right *every* time. Recently tried the chicken salad BLT and it was perfect. The bagel was glorious (as always), bacon was heavenly, chicken salad was exactly right, tomato was fresh, the potato salad and pickle on the side were flavorful and a nice bonus. I saved half for later, yet it was filling and large enough to require two hands each time. The Morning Stimulus (two scrambled eggs, bacon, avocado spread, red onion, tomato, melted cheddar cheese, and I get mine on an asiago or everything bagel) is my go-to breakfast order. Trust me and add a hash brown on it for extra crunchy texture. The staff is friendly. The inside is tidy with a handful of tables if you want to dine in, but they package everything very well if you take your order to go. We were heading to a morning event in Pontiac and looking for a breakfast spot nearby, which is how we came across this place. I am VERY particular about bagels, but this place was top quality! We later learned that the owner is from New Jersey, so clearly we were dealing with people who had high standards for bagels! I had the whole wheat everything bagel with the lox spread. There was a ton of lox in this spread, which is pretty rare! My wife had the Chicken Palermo and said it had great flavor. Everyone working there was friendly and helpful. Best bagels in metro Detroit. This place recently opened a few months ago in Auburn Hills and their bagels and cream cheese selections are well worth the visit. I am so happy we found this place! The chicken salad BLT on onion bagel was amazing! Next time I might add a veggie cream cheese. They have fresh fruit that looks amazing. You can see the different cream cheese in the deli window and it looks delicious! Service was great and everyone was nice. It's a small shop so they only have 5 tables but it's a cozy place. This is the new best bagel spot in Metro Detroit. I ordered an everthing bagel blt with nothing else on it do to dietary restrictions and was blown away. Didn't need any cream cheese, mustard or mayo. It truly stood on it's own. Service was great. A few tables to dine in. Will be back. read more

shhhhhh I want to keep this my little secret spot but I also want them to have all the business possible: This Bagel Spot is so good. They offer breakfast and regular sandwich options, the serving sizes are good (esp the lox, which is always one of my favorites to order, on an everything bagel), they are friendly/fast, and lots of flavor and options. I wish they had a vegan cream cheese due to my dairy intolerance, but there's always the mashed avocado option. I'm so glad to have a nearby and delicious local breakfast spot - and so much better than the chain bagel places! read more

I stopped in here today and wow, what a great new place this is! They just built this whole complex and this was additive to this side of town. I love a good bagel, and was glad when they open. The bagels here are fresh, big and they have custom spreads which I love. I went with a garlic bagel toasted with the lox cream cheese, which had fresh lox chopped up in it. I've had the dip at other deli's and it's delicious. They have a variety of bagels and sandwiches to choose from. Some are more expensive than others, some are not. It just depends on what you get. Since my cream cheese was specialty, the whole shebang cost me $6.10, but since I paid cash, I saved a bit of money off the top. This place is the real deal, and it looks like most everything's made onsite. They open and close early, so it's more of a quick breakfast stop. They have seating if you want to dine in, which I did, and it was not a bad thing at all. Service was quick, and they had two registers going at the same time on a Sunday morning. While the place was busy, there was no long lines and people seemed to be getting in and out quickly. I'm excited that they're here, and will be back for more! read more

Went back and loved our experience once again. Service was again wonderful and their muffins are as delicious as their bagels! They were a bit busier than when we stopped in the first time, as it was the beginning of their breakfast rush, but service was still very quick. The best bagels I've had around here! We tried a variety of bagels and I'm not usually a sweet bagel guy but the cinnamon and raisin was still warm when we got home and was incredible. We also had a black russian bagel that was so fluffy and fresh inside and enjoy the subtle spices which reminded me of rye bread. The big surprise was the cinnamon toast bagel that was topped with powered sugar, never seen that elsewhere. The biggest struggle was not having enough room before trying them all. It was nicely decorated inside and the staff was super friendly. Can't wait to go back and try their sandwiches and other things on the menu. You have to try this place! read more

Tons of options of bagels, and other breakfast items like sandwiches, omelets, pancakes, muffins, croissants, speciality coffee! I love this place. We got the flagel, blueberry (which is blue), Black Russian, everything , salt stick, cinnamon raisin and we only got the regular cream cheese but there are 12 different options!!!! The service is wonderful, ready and kind!...I can't wait to come back! There are 3-4 tables for indoor dining, it's nice if you want to want to get pancakes or a more elaborate breakfast. read more

The bagels are large and fresh. The staff were very pleasant to chat with. Clean! My review also has a personal aspect for people dealing with Cancer. For those that are going through chemo/radiation treatments and have lost many taste buds where eating become less enjoyable I give you this advise. Salt or Plain bagel with regular cream cheese are great. From the first bite to the last it felt like a treat. They have other beautiful baked goods as well, and wraps if you prefer your sandwiches that way. The in house spreads and salads are delicious (I favor the whitefish salad). They only have top quality ingredients for their meats and fish. Their menu includes traditional deli and breakfast meals as well as other creative combinations. The best bagels I've had thus far. The bagels are big and delicious! If I want something a little sweet, I love their blueberry bagel with lemon cream cheese and butter. So good!!! And the Hudson's is my favorite for savory. It's a pastrami bagel sandwich with your choice on any behalf. I like it on a salt bagel. The Rachel is a good savory one also. I can go on and on. The establishment is always clean and the staff is the best! Super friendly and they're great with recommendations. The Bagel Spot is my Sunday morning go to. Everything there is all handmade and delicious their bagels all assorted are just perfect. I always get mine toasted with some Kipper salmon. They have many different types of cream cheese, along with beautiful pieces of fresh fish. All of their sandwiches are just fabulous and then the waitstaff they can't do enough to make you happy.
