It had a subtle but unusual under-taste, like maybe a spritz of pickle juice was added. But it was still ok. I will definitely return to Embers to try their other fare because the service is excellent, just top-notch and the atmosphere is very, very haimish. It reminds me of all the Bronx delis we used to frequent in the 1960s and early 1970s. And the rest of Embers' menu looks good, although typical for MoTown a bisl lacking in variety, e.g., no kishke, no knishes, no schmaltz herring, etc. But for ambience, it's now my favorite in the region. And it was crowded, jam-packed with Landsleyt and allies on a Monday lunch hour.
