There were definitely people in the store but not too filled early on Friday afternoon, that had changed within the hour to be full. They've changed their policy of cards also and there was a sign on the door about fees under a certain amount.

We picked up a candle holder while searching for other options and ended up leaving it. On our way out the same staff member asked my daughter if she had placed it back : in a rude tone. We said yes and she stared looking at our hands. We asked if she wanted to see where we left it, she said: yes, just so I can make sure you left in the right place. Unbelievable! Made us feel accused of stealing and uncomfortable. Never going back! This is not the first time we feel followed at this store. (Thumbs down)

The WORST I agree with LEX E !!!…read more The owner is RUDE ! After being told by her employee that my items were wonderful & they would accept them I received a RUDE HOSTILE text from this owner, Julie, "we accepted NONE of your items" . 98% were items with tags, brand new. Including J Crew current stylish summer tops, Loft summer tops, shoes including brand new black flat-ish Franco Sarto, Burberry ($695. Retail) flats, She also referred very negatively to her employee stating she had no right to tell me what they accept. I was referred to this store by an employee at Consign Couture in the village -- a MUCH higher end consignment store with far more hospitable staff where I have had reasonably good experiences. I have now tried 3x to pick up all of my "rejects" and the shop is never open. I am in Salem assisting my 89 & 90 year old parents so it's not a simple task to drive 45 miles & be met with a closed shop !!! My next call is to the local police to escort me to pick up MY belongings!! Horrible store with few items ! Seems they have a very "hippie- ish " clientele. The one positive note, this owner is so ill informed and unaware of "designer" brands I found a $325 blouse for under $30 The rest was junk

I completely understand if none of my clothes were sellable in your store- it is your store and you know what sells, but there is zero reason to be dismissive and rude. You can also put your name on their "wishlist" if you're looking for something specific - they'll call you if it comes in! Inventory can vary like any second-hand store - sometimes I walk out with armloads, other times I don't find anything I'm interested in - that's the joy of thrifting! If you bring in something to donate, they'll give you a small discount on your purchase. A couple reviews mentioned pricing - it's a fair point. Sometimes I look at an item and think they're asking too much. Things I do then: 1) put it back, or 2) take it to the front and ask if they're willing to pay a price I feel comfortable with. An example - I found a great pair of See Kai Run shoes, but they had pen scribbled on them. I asked if they'd lower the price, and they did. If they'd said no, I would have put them back. Another time I just looked up the item and showed them that I'd found it new for less - again, price was lowered. I feel like some things are well priced, and some things are a bit too high. But even with that.... Things I don't do: 1) not look at price tags and then feel betrayed because it was more than I expected 2) not make sure I understand the return policy AT A SECOND-HAND PLACE and then feel betrayed because I failed to do so 3) leave solely negative reviews for companies because I like bringing only negative energy into the world. Just saying. :) Another note - sometimes things do need a wash. I would say that's occasional. But I don't care because I wash everything before I put it on my kiddo anyway. And just a note - this is a donation-based store, not a consignment place. It's different. A portion of their proceeds go to a charity. Bottom line, I love this place and it's in the regular rotation when looking for toys and books especially.

I use it as a way to get him to give up a portion of his abundance of toys to share them with other kids. It's a win-win for both of us. They accept donations daily and help to keep unwanted items out of the landfill. When you make a donation, they will give you a voucher for five dollars off toward one of their used toys. The options are amazing for kids birth to school age. There is a game room, clothing section, area for baby items (strollers, cribs, swings, etc) and so many toys. If you need it for a kid, they probably have it. Things are a bit on the expensive side, but I think that's expected because the stuff on display is usually in fairly good condition and I imagine the rent in this area isn't particularly low for a two story store that runs on variable donations. It's a place that I enjoy having in close proximity to my home and as part of our local community.
