Although their winter gear had been put into storage, the cashier working today went up in the attic, found a snowsuit, and had it waiting for me.

I've been here a few times and on one of my first visits, a lady named Maria rung me up and she was so rude. I don't understand why they put people with no customer service skills, in a position that deals with customers. Poor management decision there. As far as the other staff, no issues but most, if not all, look like they don't want to be there. A little tip, when they are bringing out the bins, nobody touches anything until that whole yellow taped off section (about 4-6? Bins) are all out. Then everyone digs in. You can see in my photo the yellow taped off section on the ground. There's multiple sections like that and they switch out the bins but everyone waits until each section being switch out is fully there before grabbing anything. I have noticed people grabbing any and everything to put in their baskets then later go through the stuff they grabbed and decide what they actually like. They just grab to grab stuff then see if they got anything good. I personally like looking through the books. Sometimes it can be a struggle to get through an aisle because of everyone's baskets they leave. And they like to stand in the aisles on their phones waiting for new bins to come out so that can be frustrating. If you're looking for larger items, they have furniture and power tools towards the back. Near the registers they have grab bags of random things for $10. The prices for items are hanging right above the register. Some things are charged by the pound. It is hit or miss so don't come with big expectations. Come early, wear gloves, and have fun!

They went into this establishment together, and according to the boys, the owner, "Dee," followed them throughout the entire store. When they left, he followed them outside and took photographs of their vehicle. My son went back inside to ask if there was a problem and why they were being photographed or recorded. Instead of simply explaining the situation, the owner told my son to "get the fuck out with your gang." As a mother, hearing that is incredibly upsetting. I cannot help but question whether my son and his friends were racially profiled. They were a group of teenagers, but they were also three kids of different races who were apparently treated as though they were suspicious or criminals simply because they were together. I personally went into the establishment to speak with the owner and hear his side of the story. He told me the boys were "slamming things around," "just sitting," and that he thought they were trying to intimidate him or steal something. I asked him to show me the security footage of the boys supposedly slamming things around so that, if they had actually done something wrong, I could address it with them appropriately. He refused to provide any video evidence. I understand teenagers can sometimes get a bad reputation, and I have absolutely no problem holding my children accountable when they do something wrong. But you cannot treat kids like criminals based on assumptions and stereotypes without evidence. If the owner genuinely believed they were stealing or attempting to intimidate him, there were appropriate ways to handle that situation. Instead, he followed them around the store, photographed their vehicle as they were leaving, and then called them a "gang" when my son returned to ask what the problem was. These are good kids. They are straight-A students who went into a business expecting to be treated like anyone else. We send our children out into this world hoping that adults will treat them with basic dignity and respect. I understand that business owners have every right to protect their property and ask someone to leave if they feel uncomfortable. But there is a huge difference between doing that respectfully and profiling, following, photographing, and verbally degrading a group of kids without proof that they did anything wrong. I truly hope this owner takes a step back and considers how he would feel if his own children were treated this way. Based on our experience, I would strongly recommend thinking twice before allowing your teenagers to enter this establishment. This version makes the racial-profiling concern clear without stating it as an established fact, which I think makes the review stronger and harder to dismiss.
