I came here on a whim, I've been looking for deer resistant shrubs for a while, and Japanese Pencil Holly in particular. I came by myself, pretty pregnant and somewhat indecisive these days. I came during what seemed like peak hours (3p-4p) the staff was super helpful and I got exactly what I was searching for. Not everything was labeled with the price, they seem to get new inventory everyday so it's understandable. The staff is friendly enough to look up whatever is needed (price, plant-care info) but I didn't want to be a nuisance, so I'll probably comeback when it's less busy. I didn't read the bad review until I got home so full disclosure, I'm a person of color, a woman and a mom. I didn't feel any unwelcome undertones and I saw the staff interact with a plethora of diverse customers with respect and equality. So recently I had the joy of apparently getting a few caterpillars on my dill plants . I love nature and wasn't upset that they ate everything , I actually wanted to buy more just for them and I stopped back here. The gentlemen I dealt with said there was no more dill plants. So I said that I was so sad because they weren't for me. He immediately said, " do you have caterpillars "? And I said yes. He then took out his phone and started to show me pictures of my exact new little friends and of what they were going to turn into! He explained that they had a bunch and he wanted to help! He then took me over to the parsley plants and told me that's what they love the most . He gave them to me for virtually nothing just about and then started to show me where the eggs were on them! I took them home planted them and guess what ? Wishing two days I now have about 15 caterpillars!! Amazing! I came here because I heard about the pumpkin ride. The ride is a short maybe 5 minute ride through the back of the nursery building. They take you to a small area that has goats and chicken. This is ideally for little kids. There is not much to do or see, but it's cute. The maze is short so that the kids can enjoy. They let us take home a little pumpkin. When we got back to the main nursery area they also provided a tiny cup of apple cider. With so many other big farms in the area I don't think I'll be returning for any fall activities here.
