Totally Fraud people. Never book an apartment over here. We booked an apartment for 3 months from March 12th to June 12th. We spoke to the guy in the leasing office. Made a small mistake of not reading the lease as we were in a hurry. Verbally the leasing officer told us that the lease will end on June 12th. We signed the lease and realized on June 1st that the lease is until 30th June. By the time we went to the leasing office the person we spoke to was fired. The Indian lady in the leasing office is not even considerate. She is arrogant and not willing to believe our situation implying that we are trying to cheat Deer Creek in some ways. Do not consider Deer Creek Drive apartments, my advice. read more

I have no complaints about my experience while a tenent at Deer Creek. I read some poor reviews from tenents on other websites, but my overall experience while there was positive. The hell did not begin until I left. Due to a job change, I had to move across 5 months before the end of my lease. My contract required that I pay for the remainder of the term, which was fine; I just wanted to discuss the option of breaking up the payments. I cannot tell you how evasive management became. I left numerous messages - all unreturned. I randomly stopped by the office to be told that the person I needed to speak to was unavailable. Fortunately, my mother lived one state over and she made frequent drives to the management office in unsuccessful attempts to speak to someone in . As crazy as it sounds, they would not accept any payment from us. Instead, they kept telling my mother (who was handling things in my absence) that we'd have to wait to receive a letter from them, at which point we could then discuss breaking up payments. Despite constant follow-up, the letter never came and we were unable to get a hold of anyone to discuss the matter with us. We even contacted the parent company who told us the same thing. LSS, and to our surprise, it went to collections (still with no receipt of the "required" letter). The collections agent was understanding, and worked out a payment plan with us - four easy payments and an account that would never appear negatively on my credit report. Unknown to us, sometime during the month of our last scheduled payment, Deer Creek switched collection agencies - meaning that this account was handed over to another company who had no knowledge of the agreement we made with the first agency. I only learned of this because 2 days ago I saw COLLECTIONS in big letters on my credit report!!! The first agency is so appologetic, but because this was turned over to another agency, it is out of their hands. Now we are going through another run-around...to be continued. read more

Let me start off with the good-- It is easy to find a parking spot here. That being said, the reason it's so easy to find a parking spot is because half the apartments at Deer Creek are vacant. The apartments are shoddy and practically falling apart. My place in particular is drafty because the windows are not properly fitted to the building. In the winter, it is freezing (even with the plastic coverings I put over the windows) and in the summers, the heat radiates through the cracks in the walls to the point where I had to keep my AC running on full blast 24/7. I did not feel safe while living here, but not because Plainsboro is a particularly dangerous area. Many fixtures in my apartment were not built to code, which has resulted in potentially dangerous accidents. For example, the vent in my bathroom ceiling was not properly secured to the ceiling and actually ended up crashing through it while I was in the shower. My deck and breezeway were not built to code, and it took both my foot going through the rotted wood and a penalty from Township inspectors for the maintenance staff to rebuild them. Please bear in mind, this was 5 months after I put in repeated service requests to the Leasing Office to have them fixed. Deer Creek Apartments also fails to provide adequate safety for its residents during the winter months. One of my neighbors slipped on the ice and broke his hip; another slipped and fell down her stairs because they were not salted before or after a severe winter storm. In addition to this, the flat roofs here give way to water damage (my bedroom ceiling is caving in) and poor electrical wiring has led to 5 separate fires within the community during the past two years that I have lived here. Unlike the other apartment communities in the area, there are no speed bumps in the parking lot. This resulted in the death of one of my neighbor's dogs by a man driving like a NASCAR driver through a parking lot where children play. The grounds are disgusting, covered in garbage, dog waste and dead animals. I am not kidding you. Walk around and you will see dead birds and rodents everywhere. The grass is not hearty, and will often become oversaturated with water during light rains. Walk out your front door and you'll step into a foot of mud. After Hurricane Sandy, trees that had been ripped from the ground littered the entire complex. I do not blame Deer Creek for the hurricane. However, instead of replanting any of the trees, Deer Creek instead chose to leave behind rotting stumps and unearthed ground. I have wonderful neighbors and we have developed strong friendships and a sense of community (particularly because of our shared hatred of Deer Creek). However, the walls here are paper- thin and I can hear every footstep, every conversation, every noise from the kitchen, TV or radio. This is no one's fault but the construction company that built such shoddy structures with zero insulation in the walls. We all try our best to be quiet and considerate of one another, but there is only so much one can do when living in a tar shanty. The maintenance staff enter and leave my apartment as they please, in spite of me having indicated on my lease that work orders are to be performed only when I am home. Lastly, there are absolutely no words to describe the office staff here. I have never dealt with such an unethical, unprofessional set of people in my entire life. As Deer Creek is in major financial delinquency, the Leasing Office does everything in its power to find ways to squeeze money out of its residents. Deer Creek has never failed to attempt to charge me multiple times for the same thing. Fortunately for me, I am meticulous about my financial records and have been able to call them out each time they have tried to scam me. When faced with the realization that they cannot extort money from me, Deer Creek will blame the multiple charges on a "computer glitch." Mind you, this is after they have sent threatening notices to me saying that my account has been sent to a debt collector. It is unfortunate that Deer Creek treats its residents so poorly, as Plainsboro is a lovely area and a great place to raise a family. Still, the reviews online are completely reflective of a persistent culture that Deer Creek has no one to blame but themselves. read more

Hello, Iam writing this email with very disappointment towards deer creek management. I knew we are facing lot of issues with this winter but that doesn't mean that we stop talking care of other issues. I have been complaining regarding the laundry room and nothing has been done after 2 weeks. Laundry room is nothing but a trash room.I am not complaining regarding the wetness but the dirt and the horrible trash Can ,which is never emptied. And also my roof needs some work to be done and no one comes and checks unless we tell them and then they tell we don't have you in the list. This is annoying and frustrating as nothing happens even if you wait for weeks.please find attached the pics of laundry room D which is so horrible. I was advised to go to D from the leasing office after me complaining of A..A is still more worst. They dont do anything nor provide any alternative but definitely take the full rent on time. Due to the leakage i need to run my heater 24*7 as it gets cold due to the opening and nothing these people do about it. read more

I have been living in Deer Creek for about 7 months & love it. The office staff is amazing & attentive. Maintence is unbelieveable from their everyday repairs to the snow removal, they are the best. I have seen many negative review on this property but from what I learned that was the old management company. The new company took over Dec. 2009. Keep up the great work. read more

The first thing I want to start out saying is that I'm somewhat comforted by knowing that I'm not the only person to have such an awful experience with Deer Creek. I didn't do my homework of reading online reviews prior to deciding to live at Deer Creek because it was in my budget and I didn't have many other options. Unfortunately I stumbled upon these other reviews after I had to terminate my lease due to a job move and the nightmare began. I looked online to see if anyone else had this experience only to find stories that described my experience as if I had written them. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE believe the reviews and DON'T LIVE HERE! You will thank us. The conditions in this neighborhood are awful. Parking and location are the only good things. The quality of the apartments couldn't be worse. My kitchen sink whistled for months due to faulty plumbing and it took maintenance 10 months to come fix it. The bathroom fan vent was exposed when I moved in and I had to fix it myself because my service tickets were ignored. The bathtub and toilet caulking were rotting, so I had to fix those on my own just so I could continue to shower. My living room ceiling had a leak after the harsh 2013 winter and it took over 2 months to fix from the outside and the moldy drywall in my unit was still there 10 months later on the day I moved out. The unit I'm in like living outside. It has no insulation and the heat and A/C are constantly running. My electricity bills in the summer and winter months average no less than $225 per month for a 700 sqft. apartment. The couple of bucks I saved on rent relative to other developments in the area were more than offset by the utilities I had to pay for. I could go on and on and on... However the worst part about this whole experience has been the office staff and their lack of professionalism and respect for their tenants. They are rude, nasty and overall miserable beings that make you feel like every interaction with them is an inconvenience as if they're doing you a favor when your asking them to address their own mistakes. They repeatedly sent me overdue fee notices because their system didn't have the correct rate for my monthly rent in it. I had to go there every single month for 6 months straight to get it corrected once and for all. Over the phone they would not address any questions and I had to leave work several times in order to get it fixed based on their office hours. But it gets worse.... I had to break my lease early because I needed to move for work. I was prepared to pay all the penalties that come with that since the move was initiated by me. However Deer Creek did everything they could to milk me for every possible penny for things that weren't even in the terms of their lease. When I tried to clarify anything with them, they would avoid my e-mails and phone calls. The only way I was able to get any information was to confront them in person on several occasions in their office. They tried to charge me incorrect fees and each person tells me something different when I talk to them. I have e-mail records of my repeated attempts to contact them with absolutely no response to any of my questions. The whole experience has been an absolutel nightmare. Please listen to these reviews. Don't think that your experience will be different. Save yourself the headache and the heartache. Live somewhere else....be homeless if you have to, it's still a better option. read more

I read all the negative reviews about this place but in desperation I decided to rent it out, o boy was it the worst ever. Honestly am not even angry while writing this but don't rent this place out, it's cheap but you will pay the price. The leasing people are ok, not great. The maintenance literally take days to come only because they only have 1-2 people employed. You pay for everything here, and be careful your heat can go up to $700 in the winter and honestly I live by myself and I travel due to work so I never could understand how the heat bill was that high. Please don't ever leave in Deer Creek Apt, this is one of the garbage apartment in Plainsboro. Management people are very good at the time of signing the lease, once you have signed and if you have any problem in the apartment there we go ,comes Christine Martin(she is never ever polite and make you feel as if you are leaving for free) appears saying this is not emergency, tell her anything she says this is not emergency, i really don't understand what she meant by emergency. Apartment rate are reasonable in Plainsboro but you would end up paying more for the utility which you can easily afford going to a better Apartment in plainsboro. The reason for high utiltity bill is apartments are old and no proper insulation.Maintenance person in Deer Creek Apartment only talk, no work will be done, if we tell them fix this issue i get answer from the maintenance person saying it is very old apartment nothing can be fixed. Laundry room is meant for Deer Creek apartment people only, but it is used by public also. Laundry room is Just like washing the clothes in the sewage water. Inside apartment you will find MOLD every where and if you tell them reply would be please clean it with clorox. The bottom line of this Apartment, Please dont every come to this apartment.
