I've lived here for less than 2-3 weeks, and unfortunately my experience has already been very…read moredisappointing. I'm writing this review to share specific issues that new residents should be aware of before applying. The heating system does not properly warm the unit. While the thermostat can be set up to 78, the heat does not adequately reach the bedroom, leaving the room consistently cold. This is a comfort and livability issue that should have been addressed before move-in. The unit also did not appear to be properly prepared for a new tenant. The carpet was clearly not replaced, as there was a visible yellow stain present upon move-in. In addition, the kitchen cabinets have a strong, unpleasant odor that remains even after repeated cleaning. These are basic cleanliness and maintenance concerns. There are also additional fees that were not clearly emphasized upfront, including charges for amenities such as the gym. The gym itself is very small and may not be useful to many residents, making the extra cost frustrating. Overall, the condition of the apartment and the added fees do not match the rent being charged. I regret not reviewing previous tenant feedback before making this decision. Based on my experience so far, I would not recommend this property, and I do not plan to renew my lease once it ends. I hate it here January 22nd 2026 I've emailed management for over two weeks about ongoing issues in my apartment, and nothing has been resolved. They don't reply to emails at all. If you're looking for a quality, comfortable, or luxury living experience, I would suggest spending your money somewhere it's actually worth it. This has been the worst place to live -- I would not recommend it to anyone.

Amazing how units still sell here. It really feels like a big scheme as they will increase rent 20-30% and for longer leases when it comes to renewal. Do anything else, go anywhere else

We moved to NJ last year, and we needed to find an apartment remotely beforehand. After doing some…read moreresearch, I was really impressed by how the Crossings looked - the apartments appeared to be slick and revamped, and everyone was really helpful and nice over the phone. We decided to sign a one year lease, and I'm super glad we did! Our experience was very positive and I would definitely recommend the Crossings to anyone else looking to grab an apartment in the area. First, our apartment was just as nice as expected - no bait and switch here. The kitchen had a significant amount of counter space for a 1 bedroom apartment, all of the appliances were brand new (we were overjoyed to have a working dishwasher after our previous apartment failed in that regard), and everything was clean. The location is awesome as well! You have access to trails right outside of your apartment so you can go for a walk or run and enjoy some nature immediately. In general, everything is very well maintained - I always enjoyed the view of the trees across the horizon when first entering the apartment complex. Plainsboro is not a super exciting place to live, but at least the Crossings is very close to the town center, so you can walk and grab some frozen yogurt or something if you want. Maintenance, in general, was responsive and did a good job. Although we never really used it, there's a pool which is quite nice. The exercise room is pretty small and doesn't have a lot of equipment, but at least it was usually pretty empty (at least when I looked). Downsides? I kind of hate large speed bumps, and the ones in the Crossings are pretty gnarly. It makes sense, though, because there are a ton of families that live there, so you have lots of kids running and biking around. They're trying to crack down on kids playing in the parking lots, but I can't imagine they'll have a huge amount of success on that :) Overall, I would highly recommend the Crossings to anyone looking to rent an apartment in Plainsboro!

If your looking for reasonably priced living quarters in the Princeton/Plainsboro corridor... keep…read moredreaming... although many nomadic scientists and academics look to rental row along Scudders Mill Road in Plainsboro - I know I did before I purchased my current townhome. Representative of these properties is Hunter's Glen which is a fairly attractive hub of low-rise apartment units on a nicely wooded site creating a pleasant outside aesthetic. All good until you step inside and are immediately struck by the smallish floorplans of the lower end units. If you need space and extra bedrooms be prepared to pay upwards of $4,000+ per month. I won't bore you with some cheesy notion of "back in the day" but good god, rentals here have skyrocketed. A recent visit with a friend featured numerous upgrades especially in the kitchen. Nice but still beaucoup bucks although there is a pool, gym and clubhouse to sweat through your financial anxiety. Hunters Glen as well as most of the rentals along Scudders Mill are owned jointly by a real estate investment trust run by Jared Kushner - it does leave one to wonder about the receptivity of the landlord to maintenance when the goal is generating maximum ROI for the trust - not to mention the lack of any semblance of price competition in the area. There are many other less than stellar reviews that indicate these concerns are not unfounded. Like anything else in life, keep your eyes open, ask some neighbors and know what you are signing. Three stars for the serious upgrades.

There was an a/c maintenance done, and the technician needed a sign off with payment. I informed the tech to contact that management company. Michael called me and questioned my financial position.
