Deer Creek Dental lies! ​ The only reason I went to Deer Creek is because they said they accepted my Aetna Dental Insurance. But after wasting a few trips going to the office over the course of a few months to set up getting a big implant procedure, ALL of the sudden Sarah and Dr. Tim told me they would not be making enough money on their contracted price with the insurance company and would only do it if I paid the full regular price ! ​​office manager, Sarah said they were now in the process of getting out of their contract with the insurance company. I immediately called my insurance company who said they were still a network provider and the Ins. had approved my procedure... Total beat and switch! Awesome, professional, and extremely helpful! I live in Madison, Wisconsin and came to Deer Creek Dental because I was out of options dealing with my TMJ, chronic jaw pain, and daily discomfort. I found a specialist in Madison that I went to see hoping he could help me with my jaw issues due to having chronic migraines, neck and back pain, sleepless nights, along with other issues. I was hoping I would easily be able to get a simple night guard created for when I sleep to prevent my grinding and clenching. When I finished the assessment he quoted $2500 for a mouth guard that my insurance would not cover. This was out of the question and honestly outrageous. I felt like I was never going to sleep well or get rid of my constant jaw pain and discomfort. My family then said I should try Deer Creek Dental and Dr. Mueller because they thought he could help. I decided to try because I really was at the end of my rope trying to find a solution to all of my problems. I quickly got an appointment and was blown away by the service and professionalism of the staff and Dr. Mueller. In one appointment that was about 1-1.5 hours I was able to get assessed, x-rays taken, molds of my teeth taken, and all my questions answered. Kelly, his assistant, and Dr. Mueller were able to answer all of the questions and concerns I had about my jaw issues and made me feel confident that this would finally be a solution to all my problems. I received 2 mouth guards within 3 days of getting the molds taken and started using them every night since. It's been about 3-4 weeks since I have started using the mouth guard and I am so happy and pleased with the results. I have been able sleep better through the nights, my chronic jaw tension and pain has practically disappeared, I find myself clenching my jaw throughout the day less and less, and I can finally eat some foods that I have been avoiding due to the pain it caused my jaw. Overall I am so happy and grateful to Dr. Mueller and his staff for being able to help me find a solution to something I have been suffering with for years. The old adage "Life is full of disappointments" is a good list to check before going to this dentist, "You get what you pay for" does not apply. I suffered from the incompetence of a dentist at Benson Dental in AZ, while traveling East through WI. I grabbed my bag of hopes and made my way to Deer Creek Dental to be rid of some serious dental pain via a tooth extraction, my choice, rather than spend a large sum of money trying to save a ruined tooth. While in the examination chair, and after being administered a very welcomed shot of Novicane, I was presented with a bill stating that IF I needed any additional surgery the bill would be over $400, and of course, it did. During the removal of the bad tooth, the crown directly in front of the bad tooth had approximately a third of the enamel coating broken off. Hence, my complaint. At this point the extraction seems to be healing well, no complaints there, but after examining the area where the tooth was I can not see where any additional surgery was done and I have had enough dental work done over the years to know the basics, but I concede, I am not a dentist. I have contacted Deer Creek Dental twice in hopes of getting the damage that occurred during the extraction to my existing crown taken care of. The final REPLY is as follows: " After talking with the dental assistants and reading the notes regarding the extraction, and no further treatment on that tooth is needed. The crown is covered by metal underneath so no cavities should be able to get in. You can get the crown replaced, however that was not included in the services for your last appointment." I take that as "we will not cover the cost of repairing the crown broken during the extraction". Now I have a damaged crown with sharp edges and the metal underneath showing. "No cavities should be able to get in" is not a good final statement. "Should"??? That to me eludes any confidence. I cannot recommend this dental office. read more

The technicians here seem to be very friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Quinn was very good and explained every portion of the procedure. I had a cracked tooth ground down and capped all very painless. My only disappointment was no price break on not having insurance and no veterans discount or discount on having multiple very costly crowns replaced temporary crowns put on by Matthew's dentistry as permanent. read more

I'll try to keep this short, but it'll be difficult because there's a lot to say. I first got to see Dr. Mueller in the afternoon on New Years Eve. I had some tooth pain and his office was the only one who would see me on such short notice. Check in was quick and easy, and he did a quick assessment and diagnosis. He gave me some prescriptions and a referral to have a procedure done the following week to address the issue. He said he wanted to see me because he wouldn't want anyone to go into a long holiday weekend with a potential problem. He also gave me the emergency number just in case. The next night, things took a turn for the worse. The pain medication I had was not helping, and the only way I could reduce what was the most excruciating pain I've ever felt in my life, was by swishing ice water in my mouth every 30 seconds. I went to the ER and they numbed the area which helped, but wore off after a few hours. The following day was more of the same, I tried to tough it out but it was unbearable. I called the emergency number, and when I was called back and my issue was explained, I was asked if I could meet Dr. Mueller at his office in twenty minutes. I thought he was going to just numb the area and maybe give me more pain meds to help me get through until I could get the actual root canal done the following week. He ended up performing an actual procedure. Everything he did was painless, and the end result was the pain I had been dealing with was gone. There is still work to be done, but I won't be in agony while waiting for the appointment. The entire time he was explaining what was happening, being very sociable, and very empathetic. I can't be thankful enough that there is a dentist concerned, skilled, and caring enough to take time from his weekend to help someone who isn't a regular patient of his, and be in a good mood while doing so. I'd highly recommend him and his office based solely on this experience, and guarantee that he has picked up myself and my family as regular patients. From what I could see, a beautiful office, very friendly and helpful staff and assistants, and a dentist who cares. read more

I have been going to Deer Creek Dental since April of this year (2019). Everyone in this office is friendly and helpful. I have had a deep cleaning, extraction, root canal, and a filing. Dr. Mueller is the best Dentist I have been to and I have been to many Dentists. He is gentle and knowledgeable and efficient. The Hygienist's are very capable and extremely nice. I always feel confident and relaxed when I go there and would highly recommend them to anyone. read more
