Where do I begin? I gave birth to my son at Gundersen 3 1/2 years ago. I trusted that Gundersen…read morewould deliver him safely while keeping me safe as well. I was wrong, the nurse would NOT give me an epidural as I asked for it early on, she thought it was acceptable to make decisions about my care. I was laid FLAT ON MY BACK with nothing but one measly pillow underneath my head for support. The care providers prefer this method as it's "easier" for them, BUT FAR MORE PAINFUL for the mother whose actually giving birth. I recall looking up at the ceiling as I was being told to push at this awful angle, I said out loud " I can't do this, I can't breathe, IM GOING TO DIE." After my son was born I could not hold him right away I was so out of it. When I was recovering after the birth I could not sit without immense pain in my tailbone, it was excruciating I had never felt anything like it. I could not breastfeed my precious baby in the new rocker I got because I could not get up without help.. I could not return to school because sitting down was unbearable for months to come... my postpartum appointment was CANCELLED by Gundersen for god knows what reason. I was too afraid of their care to reschedule with them, as anyone would be. My birthing experience at Gundersen was such an unfamiliar feeling as I have a daughter who is 6 and she was delivered at Mayo with zero complications at 34 weeks. To make matters worse, I was a HIGH RISK PREGNANCY, and I was treated like complete CRAP by Gundersen. The priority there isn't the people or safety it's getting things done AS FAST AS POSSIBLE with as little care as possible. If you are thinking about giving birth here please beware especially if you are Hispanic, I know another Hispanic woman just like myself who was FORCED to give birth on her back. Almost 4 years later and I still can't find comfort, knowing what they did to me and how it could have easily been prevented now it's too late to do anything. This hospital is a joke and I will never schedule another appointment with them. Please PLEASE do not let them deliver your baby this way it is beyond harmful for you and possibly your bundle of joy.

The office is so well designed and is located in a very accessible office complex, with plenty of parking. Everyone on the staff was impressive, and they answered questions before I could even ask! And no way did I feel like I was just a number. Dr. Nordeen is such a great practitioner and communicator. His first priority was a careful examination, but then he carefully explained my options. I have 100% faith in his ability..

In early 2020 I had a consultation with "endodontic specialist of La Crosse." They told me how much…read moreit would cost to have my work done. ($2000) Six months later I made the appointment and showed up for the work to be done on my teeth, and by then the price had risen to nearly $3000 That's almost 50% in a few months. I asked if they would honor the quote they had given me previously. Of course, they would not. So I politely, but firmly communicated my disappointment that they had raised the price so much in such a short amount of time. I was told to leave and don't come back, because I expressed my opinion on their priceing policies. Later, when I got home, I started thinking maybe the price increase was due to possible pandemic price gouging. Now, five years later, I've been referred to them again, and they still will not see me. So if you want to deal with some arrogant pricks, that feel they are above criticism, this is the place for you. This is what you get, when a business has a monopoly in an area. It's a small town.
