Haven't been here in a while so I stopped in for lunch today. Not so impressed. My lettuce was all either white or yellow no greens at all. The sandwich itself was all decent tasting after I dissected the wilted lettuce, but then again how do you mess up deli meat. I'm not a lover of massive sandwiches so I inquired about a half size or child size portion. The man behind the counter said they don't do half sandwiches so he can't charge me less but would put less meat on for me. I got a sandwich size I liked but paid the same amount as my boyfriend who got twice as much. I would have given them at least three stars but the workers there are just not the friendliest. Recently tried out this place and was not disappointed! I've only had their bacon egg and cheese twice and it was so delicious! I haven't tried anything else so I can't comment on other items. Their bagels and rolls are made in house. I also saw baked goods looked yummy but I didn't try any as of yet! It was very crowded but service was great and fast! read more

Love this place so much! They are quick, reliable and their prices are amazing! I usually customize my own omelette and get sausage, egg, onion, spinach and mushrooms. That and a coffee comes to around $8 with tax which is very fair! Whenever I've gotten it and eaten it at work everyone around me loves the smell and wants to know where I bought it! Many pizza places here in Deer Park, tough to find the few good ones. Deer Hills is one of the good ones. Friendly staff, good pizza selection, clean, fairly priced but most of all the regular slice is excellent. If you find a killer regular cheese pizza, you know the rest is great too. This deli has gone downhill fast! The sandwiches were meaty at one time and the sodas were cold...not anymore. This place looks like it's ready to close down. Nobody behind the counter with any knowledge or experience. Light bulbs out in the deli case. Sodas were warm. Too bad because the previous owner knew how to run a proper deli. Husband just came home with my BLT. Opened up the paper and immediately saw the bread was moldy. A large green spot right on top. You couldn't miss it. Been trying not to post a review of this place, but after today, I feel compelled. Food is adequate for a mom and pop deli, not amazing, and not horrible. The main issue with this place is the employees who work there other than the owners and to a lesser extent, the inconsistency in food and pricing. They have a lot of long-term snarky dinosaurs working there that offer nothing but a grumpy attitude. They clearly play favorites to certain regulars, and just aren't nice. They are consistently looking to hire new help. I think the reason is because they (employees) ostracize any new employees they get. I was in there once when they had a new employee, and the previously mentioned long-term employees were very mean and nasty to her. Naturally, she didn't last. I wouldn't call myself a regular customer, but I'm in there at least once a week. Other than the one owner who says hello, the rest of the staff just don't get it. read more

The people here are so rude it's ridiculous. They wouldn't take any credit cards. I had to run across the street to get cash and they said rude comments under there breath. On here it says they take cards. They have an atm but it doesn't work and probably has been broken for 6 months. Every time I go in there they treat me horribly. Never going back. read more

Walked in to order 2 sandwiches for lunch - not complicated. The place was empty. I had to repeat my order twice to the two people behind the counter. Grabbed 2 sodas (which were warm) and waited. Paid almost $20 for 2 sandwiches and 2 sodas (basic ham and cheese on a roll). Left and decided to check the food before I drove off - order was wrong. I went back in and had then remake it. Both men apologized, I waited again and then was given a new sandwich. Left and again decided to check my order - still wrong!!!!! Realized there was no point in going in again so I threw out my sandwiches and went to another deli down the road. Will never return!!! read more

Don't believe the positive past reviews on this Deli because they were most likely written by the owner(s) or their employees. We were passing by this deli on the way to the beach and decided to stop in for a few sandwiches. Ordered 2 basic turkey and 1 roast beef sandwich on seeded rolls and it was $30, which is ridiculous. Remember, this is Deer Park were talking about! They don't take credit cards, really you got to be kidding me!! I don't know anyplace that doesn't take credit cards. The rolls were stale and the meat wasn't fresh. I could have spent less at Salpino's right down the road and the sandwiches would have been twice the size with fresher ingredients, and I can assure they take credit cards. They don't even deserve 1 star. I will never be returning and I do not recommend this place to anyone. Don't know how they can possibly stay in business with all the competition on Deer Park Ave. read more
