All the best stores are here. Too bad that Deer Park is a bit of a drive for me, otherwise I'd be here a lot more often. I do think it is confusing to find a certain store, unless you are a regular here, because they are all grouped together. Still, we were able to find parking close by. I've been to the Deer Park Town Center many times. They have a lot of shops that I love. I've been to Barnes and Noble, Crate and Barrel, Restoration Hardware, and the movie theater, among others. They are also home to some of my favorite restaurants, including Biaggis, California Pizza Kitchen, and Stoney River. There is plenty of parking and the layout makes it easy to find the shops you are looking for. I look forward to seeing what shops and amenities Deer Park Town Center adds in the future. Like Old Orchard without the drama. Sometimes I question my Yelp membership. Like should I really share this place. I mean, I love it. It's got the high-end and solid stores you'd expect from a place like Old Orchard (there's even an Apple Store and a movie theater) but there's parking available everywhere. No stress. No crazy lines. We just visited the gap and Banana and it was so peaceful. Banana even had a nice chill smell to it. We've been to the movie theater before too and saw a movie where there's was just 6 people in the whole theater. When we first came here we though we were in the wrong place. No way this place has the store we were looking for. So if I share this secret, will you come here and make it the new Old Orchard? Where we can't park anywhere and everything is a big aggravation. Hmmm. I guess I'll risk it. I do worry the lack of crowds presently makes a place like this not long for this world. In the meantime while you figure out if you're coming here, I'm going to thoroughly enjoy this underused gem. read more

This shopping center is always clean and very well maintained. It was busy but not too busy, not obnoxious busy. I've been to many of the business in this center and I live close so it's convenient. There is retail and restaurants. The parking lot is very cumbersome ( curbs and layout) but all and all a very nice shopping center. read more

While I wish there was more consistency in the stores here (it seems that a few of my favorite stores moves out every few years) -- I do like the design and concept of this Town Center quite a bit. First, the big open design allows for plenty of parking and minimal amounts of cross traffic (although I'm not a huge fan of the turnabout). Second, stores here are trendy for the most part and a bit more upscale -- although there's very reasonably priced options as well. Third, there's tons of variety here -- regardless of who the tenants are. There's everything from upscale mexican to pizza to italian to bookstore to electronics store or theater to hair cut to home goods to fashion to professional services. Fourth, the design is friendly towards pedestrians. It's a great place to relax or take walks during the warmer months. Fifth, the appearance of the entire town center is attractive both in terms of the building architecture as well as the roads and the sidewalks. I could go on and on with many more reasons for why Deer Park Town Center is great, but the residents of this area are lucky to have such a great place which provides a change of pace from the typical mall. read more

I love the stores that are presently open within your town center. I personally love to shop where I have easy parking and that has enough variety of restaurant options near by. You have lost a few big places through the years, so it will be interesting to see how they will be filled. I found the new times during covid to be fair;however, there were some inconsistencies in the stores requirements so you really had to pay attention to signs on what their expectations were. A couple of smaller stores, though the did a good job, probably should have had a limit to number of people allowed in at a time. read more

This mall is always clean, nicely decorated and has a decent selection of stores. In my opinion it needs a shoe store (2 closed down) and a Cafe of sorts to grab a bite to eat and a drink. Over the years (pre pandemic also) many food places left and were never replaced. Now Starbucks closed so literally nowhere to get a drink....wait...Barnes and Noble is still open ! read more

When I lived near Deer Park, I would drive out here just to walk around and window shop. There are so many quality stores here (Pier 1, Apple, lululemon, Buckle, Pottery Barn, Victoria's Secret, Restoration Hardware, Williams Sonoma, Yankee Candle, Barnes & Noble, Vera Bradley, Crate & Barrel, Teavana, etc.) that you can pretty much do all your drooling and shopping here without having to go to Woodfield or Hawthorn. Deer Park has some good dining options too: Coldstone, Noodles & Co., Red Robin, Panera, Red Mango, and California Pizza Kitchen, just to name a few. The parking can be hit or miss, but it's not terrible -- the lots are small enough that you're not walking miles from your car to the nearest store front and the crowds are manageable. Yes, it can be a bit annoying to walk through the entire shopping center only to have to turn around and walk past all the stores again to get to your car, but I still love this place. (A circular layout would have made more sense. Oh well.) Also, although not technically part of the Deer Park Town Center, there's some more great places next door and across the street (World Market, Old Navy, Michaels, Chipotle, Potbelly, Jamba Juice, etc.) to round out your shopping needs. The only thing missing is a store like Target for toilet paper and other household items. Seriously. Almost everything you could need is here. Woodfield? Hawthorn? What's that? read more

I want to buy new clothes for my father for his birthday. And my friend recommends this mall because they have store that sell branded and good quality of clothes. Its 30min away from my apartment. I'm not hassle to park my car because of lot of vacant in parking. When I enter to the mall I searched immediately the store of what may friend recommend. Because of a nice staff I found it. When I enter to the store staff welcomed me with a good and positive attitude. They are so organized and clothes that hung and stored are in order well. They have so many different kinds of clothes. I easily find the size of my father clothes because staff help me well. The customer service was really good. Thanks to my friend that he recommends me this store and thanks to this mall that they have kind of clothes that my father like. It perfectly fit to my father and he love it so much. read more

Agree with the other reviewer that the layout of this mall stinks. Not as bad as Gurnee Mills, but close. Stores are predictable, except there are no shoe stores? Seems rather odd for that area. They also do need more food/drink places. The ones that are currently there are very busy. The reason for the 3 stars instead of less is that the parking has never been a problem and they have a lovely 7% tax. Anything less than 10% gets a thumbs up in my book. read more

How can I have not written a review since I'm in love with Deer Park. It's like a ten minute drive for me and I come here to unwind, grab a bite to eat and enjoy their outdoor shopping center. They literally have everything that i love from Sephora, to Lululemon, to Pottery Barn Kids to Crate & Barrel, you name it, they pretty much have it. I would have loved for them to have one major department store such as a Nordstrom or Macys to make it perfect, but I suppose they just don't have the space for that. It's nice to walk around when the weather is nice, and if you want to grab some California pizza kitchen or have a drink at Starbucks or Teavana, they are all easily accessible to you. I think there are more dining destinations such as Biaggis and Panera Bread, but those are some of the few that we check out. Oh, and of course, what can be better than Cold Stone on a hot summer day. It's also not overly packed with people at the times I happen to go which is nice since I don't feel overwhelmed. It really is a great little place to go with family, friends or even by yourself to shop around especially during the holidays since it's not overly crazy like some other shopping centers nearby. I have been coming here for years and continue to do so. Parking can sometimes be an issue but usually I find a spot within a few minutes. Deer Park, you are a great little outdoor mall and my second favorite after Old Orchard in Skokie, but luckily you are a little closer so you get a little more of my money each year. read more

This shopping center is really close to my house and has a lot to offer. Like live episodes of Cops. We were walking around checking out some of the cute stores and all of a sudden there were 2 squad cars, and like 5 cops trying to do something with some ladies car, so naturally we popped a squat and creepily stared, hoping to gain some knowledge on the situation....fail. Still don't know what happened, it's driving me crazy!!!! All joking aside, I love this place, it's small enough you don't have to dedicate a whole day to shopping and it also has some great essential stores. read more

I love Deer Park mall... I think the other reviews are a bit harsh, and I intend to disagree with several of their statements. Overall, they've got GREAT stores and I'm never claustrophobic at these stores like I am at the mall. I enjoy the selection of stores, and they're nice quality. And the SIZE of these stores are way bigger than you'd anticipate! Let's get the ugly truth out there first - YES, the LAYOUT of the mall is horrible. I don't know what the developers were thinking. But, I have a solution: always go with a friend. Each of you park at different ends. Then when you're done shopping, the person at that end can drive you back to your car. LOL. Well, it's an option, right? Best bet is to wear gym shoes and plan on walking. A lot. But personally, I really don't find this to be an issue because when I'm going to Deer Park, I'm normally going for a specific reason, or to a specific store or two... so I park near that store, run in and do my thing, and leave. I don't usually feel the need to walk from one end to the other. The actual SIZE of the stores is surprising! Pier 1: is one of the biggest locations around. I love this location. I totally drive out of my way to come to this location. I hate the Vernon Hills location. I can never find anything at that one. This one at Deer Park is amazing!! They've got a large store, and so much packed into that store, and I know where to find everything! I couldn't be happier. Another example is GAP - this GAP has like 3 or 4 different stores within the store - GAP Body, Adults and Children. The GAP Body stores are hard to come by - and this one is so big! I totally come here just for the Gap Body shop. A couple more great examples are Pottery Barn, Restoration Hardware, and Crate & Barrel - ALL very large stores. I get lost in the Pottery Barn store looking through all the great decorations they've got in there. You have to look more than once, cuz you see things you didn't see the first time around! Now, the food part I'm in agreement with. It's an issue. It's either at one end, or in the middle of the parking lot. They should AT LEAST put vending machines somewhere in the center of the strip.... cuz otherwise you're kind of stuck walking to find something to drink - and it's gonna be a long walk. The QUALITY of these stores is another point. These aren't junky stores. These are higher-end, nice quality stores. So I'm sorry - but I'm willing to fight for the "honor" of the Deer Park mall. I frequent it all the time. It's so much easier to pull up and park in front of the store - than to have to drive to the mall, and then walk thru a mall to find a store. I totally frequent Deer Park, and will continue to do so! And the person who stated that the stores are constantly changing couldn't be more wrong... and obviously doesn't come here much. This is my favorite mall to go to. The only reason for the loss of a star is the limited choice of stores. I love the convenience of being able to park in front of the store you need to go to and run right in. Parking is never a problem... you can even find a spot at Christmas time! This mall is also much less crowded than the other malls in the area, so that is always a plus! read more

The mail itself is great. Shop there all time. My biggest complaint and disappointment was this last weekend. They advertised Trick or Treating for children from 12 noon - 4pm. We got there at 1:30pm and all but 3 stores were out of candy. You cannot believe the disappointment of my two grandchildren ages 3 & 5 years old were. I did not even know where to begin to explain it to them. The mall was filled with other children who were crying. You would think you would plan better for this type of event. I never saw the witch and we were all over the mall. It was poorly run . The mall could have done something to handle this situation. The stores could have went and got more candy instead of putting signs in the window saying "Out of Candy" The line for tattoos t Pandora were around the corner there was only one girl painting them on. They advertised treat there but there were none. That was a disaster. If you can't do it right don't do it at all is all I can say. read more

The selection of stores is nice - they offer some nicer stores that you can't find at Hawthron. I like the outdoor concept and I like strolling around and visiting the shops when the weather is nice. Deer Park is everything a suburban woman could want: update your kitchen at Williams Sonoma and Crate and Barrel, pick up an outfit for yoga at lululemon, pick up the newest Pandora charm, then grab a quick lunch at Noodles or Panera. There are a lot of different kinds of shops here with something for everyone and a movie theater if you hate shopping. It's great if you only need to go to one store, but also good if you have time and can visit many and get some exercise. I love Deer Park. It's a great way to spend an afternoon and get some fresh air. Definitely more choices than the Arboretum in South Barrington. read more

Deer Park is near my office so I will stop by on occasion after work. The choice of stores is good. It seems like they have a fairly high turnover of stores and new things are always going in. Athleta recently opened up a store near the Gap store. I also love Soma and have browsed lululemon a time or two. They have a few good options for restaurants including Panera and CPK. If you are not into that you can always just swing by Starbucks. read more

This is one of my favorite places. Plenty of parking, it is an outdoor mall so I get my personal space, and a great selection of stores. I would love to see some sort of covering over all the stores. People pretty much run screaming if it so much as sprinkles. Also something should be done about the pedestrian situation. Understaffed. They are having a big sale and only two cashiers. Long lines in baby and women's... They only two open check outs. Classy outdoor shopping mall with many different stores, places to eat and an abundance of events that go on throughout the year. Love that it is a pet friendly mall. It is also VERY clean and well kept. Love the shopping atmosphere and location. This is my go to shopping center. So much easier to get around compared to an indoor shopping center. hmm... i am not impressed at all. The location is terrible. I have been here a thousand times... and WHY they decided to put the mall on the busiest road in the northwest suburbs and CREATE and even larger traffic jam that already exists WORSE than driving on 90 in rush hour traffic into the city! I swear! Anyways... the stores here for the most part, are like mini versions of the real store. ok, the pottery barn and some minor exceptions but really... and it is not very appealing to shop at.... it streches out soo far, but once you have walked down one way... u are walking back past the stores you already went into? Seriously? what is the point? THEN........ yes, sorry, there is more.... if you want coffee, beverage, food... you have to cross the parking lot... WHERE THERE ARE NO WALKING paths for pedestrians... to the center area which has a few stores, but mainly food... (just a couple places to eat) - but panera is always packed. just horrible horrible layout and design... plus every other week, i swear stores are closing... so u never know what you are gonna get on the next visit.... and there is a movie theatre there too (but who would know? you can't see it, it is BEHIND the mall... and there is nooo sign so you even know it is there...) Spend half an hour in the store, ended up buying shorts and leggings and altho there were 4 employees in the store not one welcomed me, asked me anything. I grabbed the clothing myself, tried them on. Doors dressing room were open. Normally they open the door, write down your name and ask in between how things are going, but absolutely nothing. Like I was air? When I wanted to pay the lady sighted and didn't ask if I found everything. She put my items in a bag and told me to insert my card, didn't even say goodbye. Honestly, what is there not to like about this place? I live in Vernon Hills, instead of going to the Hawthorn mall I specifically drive out here just to shop, as none of the stores in Hawthorn Mall interests me. I have not experienced the parking issue that other reviewers have mentioned, I have been here 4 different times now, and each time I have not had any trouble finding a nearby parking spot. Maybe I always come here later on the day and it's always on a weekend(Friday/saturday/Sunday). I have two complaints, the Barnes and Noble in this shopping mall SUCKS big time, literally the worst B&N I have ever been to. Utterly disrespectful service. Forget about this B&N, don't bother spending time here, it is very inconsistent with other B&N. Also, most stores in this shopping center are smaller in size in comparison to the same store you may find elsewhere. But honestly, it gets the job done for me. No Department stores here, so no Macy, Bloomingdales, Lord and Taylor, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom nor Barney's. Across the street you will find whole foods and michaels and such, basically more shopping. Cold Stone Creamery, red mango, panera bread and California Pizza Kitchen is in this shopping center, so you can come here for before shopping dinner and after shopping iced cream. There is also a movie theater here, century theater, I believe it is tucked behind Restoration Hardware. Paper Source, Banana Republic, Gap, Lulu Lemon, J crew, Apple.... Thank you but I will not need to be going into the city any time soon because this shopping center is keeping me happy. read more

I think this strip mall is structured a little bit weird. Have to do long walks across parking lots (dodging cars) to get to some places. The parking was also very bad. The stores were good but I felt like some stores had some very snooty fake people working in them. I came here in the dead of winter so it wasn't too enjoyable. Don't think there's enough to pull me back. Oak brook is better. read more

about this place...if you want to spend a few hours here and get a good walk this a good place to come to...lots of shopping stores, from Pandora, Banana Republic, Sephora, EtC. good variety of restaurants if you are looking to grab some lunch or having date night, Starbucks here too. this area is very clean and well kept. there is also a movie theater which I like, there is hair salons, pretty much everything im looking for in one place, including apple store. Probably the worst service I've ever experienced. I went in to exchange some items I purchased online. I was completely ignored for the first 15 minutes even though I walked right by 2 employees when I arrived. Yes they made eye contact. Still ignored me. One of them was complaining about the sales for the day. I had to approach the cash register and ask about the items I needed and even then the associate at the cash register didn't even look st me. She emptied my shipping bag and after inspecting my items declared that she didn't have them in stock in my size. I said I would look around. I picked a few items and only them did someone approach me, but not to ask if I needed help, just to tell snatch the items from my hand and tell me one of them was touching the floor. Wow. Rude. I asked her if I could try them on. She started walking to the fitting room without speaking so I followed her. That was the last I spoke to anyone until I went to pay. I overheard her complaining about not feeling well. No one ever followed up with me. Very poor customer service. I'd fire everyone and hire people who care about their job. read more

I'd have to say my favorite mall to shop at. Always a pleasant experience coming here and easy to find parking. Not overly crowded.

I love coming to this mall. Unlike other outdoor malls, it has a variety of eateries, theatre, and the right combination of stores to keep it humming throughout the year. One caveat, parking could be a hassle during holiday seasons. read more
