Multiple people observed it, and talked about it amongst ourselves. I gave the review a 3 star (and nothing lower) because we love this place, and didn't want it to get a low rating on only one issue, but to be called a liar, by the owner, is unacceptable. What I and others saw, on that week, is factual, and stayed for a few days. And to have it dismissed and have my integrity called into question, by the owner, is unbelievably unprofessional. This was not a "revenge post" as you seem to be alluding to, this happened. I will not and am not putting down a great place, just because and I won't stoop to that level now, even though you called me a liar. I simply posted about an issue, that happened. Despite my being the only room reserved, the heat was on- which is different from what the previous reviewer states from last October. Starling did meet me there to let me in and welcomed me. I was provided a yummy breakfast and encouraged to have my time there as needed. Each room is decorated with a theme, and the shared quarters of kitchen and living room are very nice- games, snacks, etc are all there. I plan on returning soon! Hopefully several times!

I went online and the rooms looked adequate and best of all - it was a short drive to the wedding site. The wedding was on Sat so we booked a room for Fri and Sat nights at $110 a night ($220 total). We knew that the temps in the TN mountains had turned very cold (late Sept) so we weren't surprised to find a temperature of 51and dropping rapidly at 9:30 PM upon our arrival. No one lives on the premises so we had to wait until someone came to let us in. We noticed immediately that it was very cold inside the house but another 5 min to get Starling to acknowledge that they 'would not' turn the heat on for only one room. They apparently also do not have central air as we only saw a window a/c unit. All the comforts of home - not! We are still dealing with a credit card dispute as they refuse to refund our $220 even though we left there 5 min after arriving and drove to Dayton TN where we stayed at a Best Western for the same price - and we had heat (a reverse cycle so a/c when needed in the summer). The owners of White Wagon focus more on money than customer relations.

What I noticed most was that it was on a hill. However, it was somewhat flat once you got out of the parking lot. It is quite the busy rest stop and surprisingly clean on the inside. Especially the facility portion of the interior. This particular location has a outdoor pavilion of sorts that has multiple vending machines if you need a last minute drink or snack. Easy on and off of the Interstate.

My husband and I stayed at this motel for 2 nights. We were house hunting and arrived at the motel…read morebeyond their office hours. But motel staff was kind enough to leave our assigned room key in a coded lock box so we were able to get into our room. THE ROOM The room was meticulously decorated. There are personal touches here and there (see submitted pictures) which I think will make any guest feel so much at home. We had a king sized bed, a small dining/sitting area, and a meal prep nook where you can make coffee, heat in a microwave your meal, and a mini refrigerator to keep you perishables cool. Beside the king bed were two side tables and one of them had a flashlight, which I think was thoughtful because a guest will not be groping in the dark should there is a power outage. Both sides of the bed had access to an electrical socket so one can charge their phone while they sleep. And we appreciate the black-out curtains and shade! THE BATHROOM I appreciate that everything was provided. I just got to say, they do not give the cheap stuff. Even the toilet paper is not your paper-thin kind but the thicker, softier ones every family uses at home. I think it is clever to provider a black face towel to use when washing off one's makeup. Likewise, a black hand towel was provided for any kind of spill. Bathroom also had a box of facial tissue. Bath towels, hand towels, and wash cloths are all soft, fluffy and white. THE BREAKFAST Their continental breakfas is good. Though they do notserve the hot kind of breakfas of cooked oatmeal, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, bacon, or sausages, what was served is equally filling. They have a good variety of cereals in a cup, bread, mini muffins, pancake, egg-vegetable fritata, sausage sliders, fruits, and coffee. The dinning area is likewise nicely put together with yellow tablecloths, decorations, and honey-bee inspired coasters. THE STAFF & THE BEE'S KNEES They are friendly, accommodating, and attentive to our needs. We missed the order cut-off time for The Bees Knees (9pm) so we only saw the inside but wasn't able to try their famous burger. The place looks cozy and staff are friendly as well. VALUE FOR YOUR MONEY For the price we paid, this is a good motel. We had a great experience staying. Some of the reviews complain about the AC, which, yes, it is noisy. But if you are like me, it doesn't bother me as when I am asleep, I am totally gone. Some reviews also complain about the road noise, which, yes, there is because the motel is right smack on a busy street. But that being said, you are on easy access to everything from the motel. Again, doesn't bother me. For the price we paid, you will not find another comparable place to stay. You can have something better but at a cost.
