I will start by saying that this place is great! My wife and I visited recently for a weekend…read moregetaway in the off-peak winter month of February and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The initial booking interaction with the front office manager was excellent, and she went out of her way to make sure we were familiarized with the property, how to get in and out of the coded gate, and where to find our documents/keys, etc. as we were checking in late upon arrival. The cabin was beautiful, if not a tad outdated in the typical "Gatlinburg mountain-style" motif, and was settled nicely by itself without an immediate neighbor, so we felt very comfortable, secluded, and able to fully relax - the ideal weekend getaway environment! What was even better was the pricing. Our cabin was a 2 bedroom, 3 bath, fully stocked kitchen with all appliances, dishware, silverware, etc, and a living room area with 2 couches, a lounge chair, including a flat panel with tv access, and all across 2 stories. Everything was very well cleaned, the loft area was beautiful, and even had an in-room whirlpool-jetted tub. Everything they said they'd do, they did. Great service, nice location very close to the Fall Creek Falls State Park, and within 15 mins either way of the nearest town for additional options. Overall, we'd most certainly visit here again the next time we're looking for a hike along the beautiful falls nearby!

They do not speak to you, and they don't smile say hi, nothing. You have to approach and ask them as they sit in the lounge area and stare at you. Super awkward. Not a ome time thing. I've stayed here 4 times over the past 4 years and they are always the same. I'll choose somewhere else next time.

When we checked in, we were amazed by the young woman who handled our reservation. Heather was…read moreoutstanding! She was hustling at full steam, with a smile, and a positive attitude. She apologized profusely for the out of order elevator (it needed a part that was delayed), and offered to help carry our bags to the 2nd floor when she could not find a first floor room for us. We didn't want her to work any harder than she was, so we declined her offer. But by the time we got our luggage, and came back in the front door to go to our room, she had good news. A first floor room had opened up! Cleaning staff was pleasant and helpful, too. When I checked out, the gentleman was friendly and asked about our stay. So staff gets 5 stars. The room was as clean and nice as the lobby - and Heather! It had a king size bed, easy chair, work chair at the desk area, a mini fridge with working freezer, microwave, flat screen TV, clock radio, good lighting, and plenty of outlets. The only unusual part of the room was the shower. It was long and narrow and didn't need a shower curtain. It might have looked strange, but it worked well. 5 stars for the room. The downside of being on the first floor was being under an active early riser. Up at 7, this room above us had someone who paced from the bed to the door to the bed and back again. This person seemed to be bouncing a ball or doing jumping jacks when not pacing. This was something out of Red Roof's control, but the uncarpeted floors did not muffle the sound. We had to get up early, but not THAT early. Due to "sanitary concerns," this Red Roof Inn stopped offering complimentary breakfast. We think it was more of a staffing issue, but it was a minor setback. With McDonald's next door, and Waffle House across the street, we were able to enjoy breakfast for a nominal cost each of the three mornings of our stay. The drawback was the size of our party. Since we were here for a wedding, the first morning we were a party of 9. The next morning, we were a party of 21. It would have been better to eat in the breakfast area. The exit door by our room was supposed to be keyed, but that did not work. So it was not secure for safety. For this, broken elevator, and lack of breakfast, 3 stars. Our room was not expensive, and it was comfortable. As I said before, we were here for a wedding, and the accommodations were fine for this. Many of the attendees were at this hotel, so we were able to carpool to the venues, and to visit with each other in our rooms before the big day and afterwards. For this, 5 stars. Total score: 4 stars.
