We've stayed here when passing through a couple times...very quiet. The sites are gravel and pretty level, although some are at a weird angle and hard to get in. They have a nice pool, dog park and a great store with fun souvenirs. The people working there are super friendly and accommodating. read more

I only stayed here one night in the middle of a trip that's why it's only 4 stars because I didn't have much to base it off of. The park is pretty enough and it has decent access from the interstate, and maybe that it is just a new park, I did see a lot of work developing new sites, but when we arrived at our pull through site it did not include sewer. Most disappointing a KOA Journey with pull throughs without sewer hookup! Unheard of. The point of a pull through is because you are on the road and you don't want to stop and dump the next morning. What's up with KOA for relaxing their standard! The worst part is I've stayed another 40 miles up the road at the KOA in Sweetwater and it's a five star! I should have gone another hour. Centrally located in nice area, surrounded by trees. They had a small but nice store! Located close to grocery stores & restaurants. Little pricey but only RV park in the area. Spaces had lots of room and a great clean dog park! We would definitely stay here again if in the area! read more

Staff was very unapproachable, nothing like I am used to getting at the KOA family campgrounds. There was no mention or communication upon making the reservation or arrival at the campground that they did not offer any cable of any kind. Not even AIR was available. Felt like the manager or who ever was checking people in, he was inconvenienced about your presence. read more

Clean and the staff was friendly. But we asked for a quiet camp with electricity. So we paid more for it and they put us at the front by a busy load road. We asked if it would be quiet and the y said yes. Not so. Then at night the lights from the campground sign shined on our tent. We tried to hang towels up to block it. We could not get them high enough. Also the pole light by the swimming pool shined on the other side. We tried to block it with our car. It helped but didn't cover well. Lights an auto noise all night doesn't make for a good camp. Told the office about it and he just looked at me with a blank stare. I won't camp here again read more

Camped here last winter with a big group, maybe 15 people. Obviously we had a few cabins not just one, they each slept about 3-4 ppl. Pros: ~It was very affordable (Great if you're just sleeping here and not hanging out) ~Better alternative to a tent ~Cute cozy little cabins with a porch and swing ~TV inside ~Firepits and grills ~Heat works good in the winter Cons: ~Very Small ~Bathrooms are far away and not the cleanest I have been to some other KOA campgrounds and the cabins had bathrooms. Maybe they offered that here and we just had a smaller one (I didn't book it), but I did not appreciate having to walk to the bathroom in 30 degree temperatures, I especially the walk back after taking a shower. Made our reservations for this campground 3-4 months ago. When we checked in, they put us in a site that was clearly for 1-night stays, but we are staying 4 nights. Tye site is so unlevel side to side that we had to use 3 leveling blocks on the door side of our trailer. The steps won't extend to the ground they are up so high. Went back to the office and asked for a different site, but was told they had nothing else--pull thru or back in--because of weekenders coming in. Had to put blocks under the legs to the steps and use another block to keep from having a 24 inches first step. Apparently weekenders get priority over those who book way in advance. Having the leave the trailer chains attached to the truck overnight to be sure we don't roll off the blocks and down into the campsites behind us. read more

JStaff was very friendly. Just wanted a place to stay for a couple nights. The back in site was not level, very short, slanted and narrow. We have a small 26 ft travel trailer and had a tough time getting level without our bikes ending up in our neighbors site. (He was very nice and let us keep them there. They were on rack in back of trailer). There were other seemingly better sites but we were already in. Didn't use any of the facilities other than check in so no comment on those. Place was clean, nice woods in back with a small walk. Couple places to eat in town (approx 15-20 min drive). read more

What a great KOA! Super nice facilities, and great service ! The road layout was easy in the daylight, but convoluted and confusing when we pulled in after sunset. We enjoyed the pool and picnic pavilion. Will definitely be back next time we're through the area. read more

Checked in last night at 9 pm. They had 4 other spaces available, yet they put me in the most difficult back in spot. It took me 20 minutes to navigate the driveway with large trees blocking me from maneuvering into the spot. While I was doing my best at it, I heard a "pop". Figured it was gravel under my tires. Minutes later I heard the loud hissing. Within 5 minutes my tire was entirely dead. In the morning I went down to the desk and explained that I got a HUGE screw in my tire. They were very short and adamant that they were not responsible and they were not even going to discount my $33 nights stay. Unbelievable. I had a plethora of options of where to stay and why I chose this place, I'll never know. Truly disappointed in management. He had some chip on his shoulder. It's sad and I feel sorry for people like him. read more

I have been a member of the KOA for over 15 years and this place is below standard. We stopped by this KOA and as soon as we saw it we almost turned around and left. Many of the spots are unleveled and there are muddy spots all over. After an encounter with the owner and staff we decided to take our business elsewhere. read more

We called while on the road because we were tired and needed to stop for the night. They got us in and when we checked in they guided us to our site and showed us how to get out easily. While the campground was almost completely full - it was quiet. The staff were really friendly and even told us how to get a pizza delivered if we didn't feel like cooking. It was clean and was well cared for. We would stop here again and hopefully be able to spend more time. read more

Nice KOA but overpriced in my opinion. Spaces weren't as tight as a lot of KOA's. Nice and shady. Had great playground for kids, a giant Connect Four game and swimming pool. Propane was easily refilled as we were pulling out. Staff was super friendly and helpful. If going to white water raft please note outfitters do not run on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I have been here a few times passing through the area. it is very convenient to the highway nice pull through sites everything we need. Price is reasonable. Very friendly family that runs this campground. Turns out our first stay was shortly after they bought the campground they have been working hard on improvements and if you had been here before you can definitely see a difference. read more

This was one of the cleanest campgrounds I've ever stayed in! The showers and bathrooms were great which is always a plus. The pool is also a great addition. The only downside is that you can hear some of the cars driving by if you are in a tent, but overall the campground is in a great location to go whitewater rafting nearby. We will def be back for another trip! read more

We are staying here on Memorial Day weekend, even though the campground is almost full it doesn't feel crowded and is pretty quiet.... There seems to be a lot of activities for the kids and they keep the place nice and clean..... The staff have been awesome all weekend .........The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is I feel they need one more bath house for the people in the higher number sites...... But I would be happy to stay here again.... read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. My family has been camping longer than I have been alive. 24+ years and NEVER have we experienced what we have experienced today. One of the people who work here came over to campsite and told us our sewage is spilling over and proceeded to yell at my mother and offer no help. He was placing blame on her when in fact when we pulled out it was spewing from the GROUND and NOT FROM OUR TRAILER. Not only was the person who yelled at my mother rude, but the people in the store were also incredibly rude. We went in there to tell them what was happening THEY DID NOT offer for us to move to a different site. So they could take care of it. He was just like we can't do anything until you leave. When my mom tried to put the cap back on THEIR sewage thing it spewed green shit all over her and we notified the woman of it she SMIRKED at my mother. All the while trying to put the blame NOT ON HER SELF AND HER STAFF, BUT ON US AND OTHERS WHO CAME BEFORE US. NOT ONCE DID SHE APOLOGIZE FOR SITUATION AND THE TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE HER STAFF GAVE US. My family is avid KOA campers and love it every time. THIS HAS BEEN THE WORST KOA CAMPGROUND WE HAVE EXPERIENCED. It wasn't until they realized we were here for one night (KNOWING MY MOTHER WOULD REFUSE) that they offered for us to move to a different site if we wanted to stay another night. read more

This place is a dump. No staff seen except two lady's sitting in office. Looks like no lawn or maintenance has been done for years.
