I can't believe that I have never reviewed Heartland Town Centre. I've been visiting for years…read more Weird! Heartland Town Centre is your Mississauga mecca for shopping at box stores. Because it covers such a vast area, it's best to figure out which stores you'd like to visit and drive over to them. The stores range from outlets to regular retail. You also have eateries and professional services mixed in for good measure. My go-to stores tend to be Winners, Kitchen Stuff Plus, Gap Outlet, and Krispy Kreme. The first two are next door from each other, so it's a two-for-one shopping extravaganza for me. I have found some nice merchandise at good prices at both stores. I love this Gap Outlet, as I have scored some nice discounts on jackets and clothing. I don't consume donuts often, but I love Krispy Kreme to the point where I've been known to do a donut run before heading back to the office. It takes me fifteen minutes to get here from my workplace. It's deadly and cool. Besides the stores that I have just mentioned, here's a running list of stores at Heartland that I have visited so far: - Bath & Body Works - Best Buy - Loblaws - Marshalls - Old Navy - Roots - Seafood City Supermarket Here are eateries that I have stuffed my face at: - Grill City - Heart Sushi - Jollibee - Tandoori Flame There are so many stores and eateries. I haven't visited them all yet. It'll take a while! Here are some stores and eateries that I'd like to visit: - Beanwise - Bergham - California Sandwiches - Copper Branch - Crocs - Mr Puffs - The Chopped Leaf I've never had any issues parking. I've dropped by on countless Saturdays and Sundays. It can get crazy, but I always find parking. It's cool shopping here. I feel the need to get some retail therapy now! (212)

I saw this Yelp listing recently. I've been here a handful of times…read more My first experience was with my parents. I was in grade 12. Somehow, we got word that taking photos here would be great. The tip was a good one. When you first drive over to this centre, you can't miss the gateway. It's red with gold accents. I just learned that it doesn't have a single nail in it. The gateway is made of timber. Wooden studs keep everything in place. My mom brought her manual camera with a massive lens to take distant shots. It took her what felt like forever to take photos of us. As patient as I am, I looked extremely unhappy in one of her shots. This centre has a dragon wall. It's there as a form of protection. There are nine dragons on this wall. I like the sculptures, garden, and mini pond in this area. It's nice to admire everything before going shopping! I returned last year since my first visit as a teenager. I was here to enjoy snacks and soft serve from Xe Kem. A Yelp experience introduced me to this place. I've been back a few times since. A few doors down is the entrance to the food court. I have flagged visiting it, but I haven't had a chance to return. Luckily, this centre isn't too far away from work. Tung Hing Bakery is also here. Technically, it's closer for me to get my baked goods fix here after work. I am hoping that it has banh mi and siu baos like its other locations around the greater Toronto area. I should return and check out the other businesses, like Al Premium Food Mart and Sushi Omigoto. There's lots to discover. Parking can be a bit of a challenge. I've been fortunate to have nabbed parking spots whenever I've been here. It's other drivers who can't park for beans that you need to take care. (372)

My manager introduced me to this place. Our team drops by now and again to enjoy good meals at affordable prices. The food stall that I frequent the most is Arigato Box. When you are staring at all the food stalls, Arigato Box is the one on the right. This stall has a huge menu that's on a board. It's got pictures and prices. I tend to get the bento box because it has a bit of everything that I love and there is more than one type of bento box. I love yeung chow fried rice. Both Honey Pepper and Dynasty BBQ make this dish exceptionally well. They both don't skip on huge shrimp and veggies. It's delicious. Sea Star has Hong Kong-style items. I remember getting a seafood dish with two sauces with my manager. We loved the tomato sauce, but the white sauce had no flavour at all. We still loved the comforting food. There used to be a Vietnamese food stall called Pho Tai Loi. I loved the pho and vermicelli dishes. I was sad when it closed for good. I believe that a Filipino stall has taken over. I haven't tried it. I will admit that I rarely shop at other stores in this mall. It does have a second floor. The only reason why I was up there was because I needed to use the washroom. Washrooms are upstairs. The food court is downstairs. There is a snack shop called MyDelish on the first floor that has decent Filipino baked goods and more. I ended up getting pork rinds that had palm vinegar. They were fabulous. I remember getting bubble tea at Phoenix Bubble Tea eons ago, which is roughly across from the food court. I don't recall if I loved or hated it, so I need to get another one to sort that out. There was a clothing store next door from which my manager bought a purple hoodie. He is more of a mall shopper than I am. He was extremely happy with his purchase. I do know that there's Gino's Pizza. It's like the beacon of light at this mall. It has always been there since I found out about this mall. I like it here. It's a good place to stop by when you're on a budget, but want good food. I should visit more businesses in this mall when I'm back. (103)

I would say its relatively fairly priced. They also have other shops as well that sell clothing and cool goodies which is cool. Service is also pretty quick.

This eatery was located at Meadowvale Town Centre, which is a mixed indoor-outdoor mall. Swiss Chalet isn't connected to the indoor mall. It makes sense, as this eatery stays open well past the mall's closing time. Next door to Swiss Chalet is Jersey Mike's Subs. Technically, it is a part of the indoor part of the mall. However, when you're in the mall itself, it says to come outside to enter the eatery. It's probably not the best setup when it's frigid outside, which was the case when I visited. However, when it's warm, walking outdoors isn't as taxing. I checked out Your Dollar Store with More. It's only accessible inside the mall. It's a decent dollar store. It doesn't have as many food items and snacks as I had hoped, though. I saw Metro while I was at the mall. It's accessible from the mall and externally. I had no problem finding parking. I will say that some folks trying to park are scary. Take care when you're here, as both a driver and a pedestrian. This mall does have bus terminal, which is helpful if you are getting to and from this mall using public transit. There are a lot of eateries here that I need to explore. The downside to a mixed indoor-outdoor mall is figuring out what stores you want to visit, and whether they are indoors or outdoors. If you're driving, you need to figure out where you should park to access the stores that you need. (482)

My quick history at this place: -Old school mall similar to Dixie Outlet mall with locally owned stores with Woolco, Dominion and a few banks. -Wal-Mart moved in to replace Woolco. Business improved at this mall (was a much better anchor store than Woolco). -Wal-Mart moved out without an anchor store and foot traffic decreased (this is in contrast to the belief that Wal-Mart doesn't help small businesses). -After Wal-Mart moved out, most of the mall was demolished with the exception of the side where Dominion sat (now called Metro) and also has a library, a couple of clothing shops . -This was replaced by an outdoor mall which now has plenty of restaurants, a Goodlife Fitness. Tim Hortons, etc. My overall verdict here: You don't shop here, you just eat here. If you are in the area, just come to this mall, and there should be plenty of things to eat. I particularly like Symposium Cafe and Pho Mi 89.
