The layout reminds me a bit like Sherway Gardens, expect the walkways-concourse ("hallway") don't loop around to the center. It is pretty easy to get around and find a particular store. Some stores (like Miniso, Sunrise Records, Garage, maybe the Walmart) at Erin Mills are larger compared the same ones at Square One. Also, stores and restaurants not attached to the main building are easy to get to (ex. Indigo, One Plant, IHOP, Dollarama, Pizza Pizza, etc).

It is rare these days to encounter customer service of this caliber. Antonia and Yana demonstrated professionalism, enthusiasm, and a sincere desire to help customers. They did not simply assist us--they elevated the entire shopping experience. Management should be very proud to have associates like them representing the store. Upper Oakville Shopping Centre maybe a good local plaza but I was not too impressed with the collection of the stores and restaurants there. Luckily it has Cupid's Gourmet Cupcakes, Starbucks, Global Pet Food, New Balance and Metro so I have to say it is a good neighbourhood plaza since it has served the local communities for over 25 years! I would not have make a special trip to UOSC if not for the cupcakes!! What I would do for sweets!

Because it covers such a vast area, it's best to figure out which stores you'd like to visit and drive over to them. The stores range from outlets to regular retail. You also have eateries and professional services mixed in for good measure. My go-to stores tend to be Winners, Kitchen Stuff Plus, Gap Outlet, and Krispy Kreme. The first two are next door from each other, so it's a two-for-one shopping extravaganza for me. I have found some nice merchandise at good prices at both stores. I love this Gap Outlet, as I have scored some nice discounts on jackets and clothing. I don't consume donuts often, but I love Krispy Kreme to the point where I've been known to do a donut run before heading back to the office. It takes me fifteen minutes to get here from my workplace. It's deadly and cool. Besides the stores that I have just mentioned, here's a running list of stores at Heartland that I have visited so far: - Bath & Body Works - Best Buy - Loblaws - Marshalls - Old Navy - Roots - Seafood City Supermarket Here are eateries that I have stuffed my face at: - Grill City - Heart Sushi - Jollibee - Tandoori Flame There are so many stores and eateries. It was the closest one to me. I normally like standalone drugstores. I don't spend as much. Get me visiting a mall and I'm bound to shop. It happened here, but I contained my shopping madness down to this mall wing with SDM and the food court above it. It's a decent mall. It has Pearl, a Chinese dim sum restaurant that I like. I typically go to the one at Bayview Village. It was nice to see one west of Mississauga. The dining room looked gorgeous as I walked over to the mall entrance. The SDM is steps away from the main mall entrance, which I appreciated. I got what I was looking for and more. This same wing of the mall had Claire's. I ended up getting Squishmallows and a Grogu bucket hat. It was nice finally visiting the LL Bean store. I love the products, but there are rarely any sales that make me want to buy anything. The mall ceilings are nice. There's lot of glass that allow natural light to shine in. It's cool and cheerful. There are also various decor accents, such as triangular lighting and dangling spiral installations, that are pleasing to the eye as you walk around. The food court is cool. There was a bee installation where you could read up on how wonderful bees are. I didn't end up dining at the food court. However, there was a sushi clearance at the end of the night at Sushi Mac. I couldn't resist and bought some sushi to bring back to my hotel room. There is a Kernels-Yogen Fruz store on the main floor. I dropped by to get popcorn at Kernels before leaving the mall. Popcorn is my weakness. I got two bags to feed by popcorn habit. I was only in one wing of this mall and enjoyed being there. I would likely be broke if I had walked the entire mall that evening. I know this mall as Westwood Mall. When I worked at the old location of my current employer, I'd often drive up Goreway Drive to head home, and dropped by this mall now and again. It has been a good decade since I was last in this mall and it has changed. It used to be anchored by a Walmart. It was gone, which saddened me. It was a decent store that served this neighbourhood well. These days, you have Shoppers Drug Mart and Fresh Co. anchoring this mall. I do like the latter. The produce is fresh and it's a clean store that always has everything that I need. Although it looks nicer inside, it's a weird assortment of stores. I recognized the Scotiabank and that was it. Most are local. You get everything from luggage to cell phone accessories. The food court is on the second floor. It was where my bubble tea place is, but I never got that far. I ultimately got my beverages from Westwood Convenience on the main floor. Several people have mentioned that this mall has a sketchy vibe to it. I'd have to agree. The woman in front of me at the convenience store seemed incredibly out of it. She was looking for wrappers for her smokes. I couldn't tell whether she was in the lineup to pay. Frankly, I didn't think she knew, either! I'd return for Fresh Co. You can shop at this supermarket without going into the mall itself, which is what I like. Other than that, it serves the local community. However, it's such a shame that the Walmart is gone and folks need to drive further to find another one. (257)

It has been under some construction for years with a name change. The most commonly visited are the buildings not attached to the mall, the sports facility, the Metro, Shopper's Drug Mart, the bank, a restaurant and a cafe. The bottom level is where the library is and where book sale happens twice an year now. The latter used to take place on the main floor at one point. Technically, depending on the day, the mall is opened before 11am or opened past 7pm because of the public library hours. I have seen online that the mall used to be busier a few decades ago. Also, when the mall was a temporary elections polling station in 2022, I overheard people wonder what new stores would move in because the mall is located next to a residential area.
