By the time we arrived it was difficult to see through the windshield due to the bug carnage and the rest of the front facing portions of the car was so much worse. I have been using Deets now for about 3 years. There is a reason why I am a repeat customer. Deets does a reallly high value job and consistently delivers quality car wash. If you think about it, regular car wash places takes only 5 minutes to wipe down your car once it comes out of the car wash. With Deets, they spend considerable more time in hand washing your car (unlike those spinning brushes at the car wash) and in cleaning and wiping down your car. Deets prices are not that much more compared to my local car wash place, pound for pound. Why drive to have your car washed when you can have Deets come to your home with professionalism, high quality, let alone the convenience. For me, that is a no brainer. Highly recommend!!! read more

Scratched my expensive vinyl. I just had my Tesla wrapped and was really interested in bi-monthly maintenance washes to keep it looking good and recommended by the company who wrapped my car. After Deets left I went to inspect the work and noticed a HUGE scratch going across the entire height of the hood. The wrap was brand new and expensive and I will now have to have the hood section replaced. At least it was the wrap and not my paint itself. read more

Hello Los Olivos and Irvine neighbors, I want to start with my call to Deets Mobile car wash located here in Irvine. I was told twice, once today by the owner Virgil and once booking my initial appointment, that his company was an approved vendor in Los Olivos. Sorry for the length, Please read I had to be detailed, I'm sure Virgil will reply to my review. Today after a trip to the RSO (resident service office) I was told they are not approved or allowed to conduct business in the complex. I only used Deets (who was the most expensive for a detail by at times $50) only because the other three recommended shops told me they were not allowed in the complex. Highest priced an honesty issues.....great start. The day of the detail the tech (will call him M) was polite even early and seemed like a nice guy. The "detail" took two hours maybe a little less, I can provide times from texts etc. and detailed photos upon request I would like to keep some info of the app! Full disclosure he did ask if I wanted to go through it, I had to be somewhere for my child and since he finished early I was able to avoid Uber/Lyft or bothering friends. So my mistake also I guess. From a far it looked like a decent wash, oh my car was also parked in a different spot and driven without my knowledge (not a big deal, but with all the issues it frustrating for sure). I drove from M's new spot and moved it back to the area in which I park, it should be noted it was a shaded area where I left my vehicle due to the heat and to make M's life a little easier for helping me out (I'm disabled with nerve damage and using my hands for some simple tasks is painful). Probably a 200' foot drive, so I can honestly say the car was in the same condition after my short drive from the shaded area to the parking spot. I started to really look at the car, black grime/dirt smudges on the exterior from the wash that dried a bit but easily washed/rubbed off with my fingers. Small yellow dried spots from plants/trees (I assume) were all noticeable and all over the vehicle post "detail" easily scrapped away with my fingernails.The dash had a bunch of dust particles also on it, dirty all weather mats, and there was a seat protector I use for my child's car seat that looked as though it was pushed aside to do the "detail" and I know it's not part of the vehicle, but a quick wipe would have been nice especially with the cash tip M got based on a "detail" price. Reached out to the shop and they requested videos, which I sent immediately. Even followed up with a call and I was promised one back within 24hrs. After a call today (day 5/6) I got a call back from Virgil (owner)also polite and apologized at first. His attitude quickly changed when I told him I just wanted to be charged for the lesser wash and not a $250 plus "detail" that was obviously not completed on the vehicle. He told me it's company policy that he not lower a price since his tech sent pics and in Virgil's own words were not quality pics and showed none of the issues from my videos which are great quality and up close! I explained that after my complaints I didn't want another tech out, I don't know who is related to M or friends etc and I don't want any issues. Virgil did offer a platinum wash , at no cost .......which is what I paid for 5x over the first time with the "detail". Again I explained the issues with using them again and unfortunately here I am. Vigil basically called me lair, took his employee's side.....oh and M had a mystery helper that was not there at the beginning middle or end of the service who can collaborate M's complete detail. I would love to have a boss like that, but unfortunately I can't do business with an owner like that. I took it upon myself to bring my car to a local company that does higher end cars (I do have a 10+ year old SUV, single dad who can't afford regular details so I'm not an expert but....) and they laughed at me about the time it took to complete the "detail" and insisted it was not waxed. Deets staff including Virgil was more interested in the shops information who laughed at the work than owning their mistakes. The shop I took it to does my good friends cars (6 in total) some newer and some antique, SUVs and 2 door coupes. There price was $230 and they estimated 5-6 hours to do a proper complete detail. He has never had an issue with there work and was considering using Deets for his cars until my experience. If you work for Deets or have had a good experience prior that's fantastic you're lucky. If you have never used them or have been fooled into thinking they are on a list that these other more qualified shops are not..........good luck and hopefully your experience goes better. I won't even be using the "free" wash because I can't stand behind people who don't own their mistakes. read more

Recently, I have been trying to find the time to get my BMW X3 washed and have been unsuccessful. Yesterday, while driving on the freeway to Laguna Niguel, I saw a Deets Mobile vehicle and ran a quick google search. I called the number, asked about a was and for them to service the inside of my vehicle and because it was last minute, I asked when they would be available. I told the person on the phone that I would be at my destination in around 10 mins and was impressed that the technician arrived 2 mins before me and was waiting for me there. He went straight to work and finished in about 30-40 mins. I ran my errand and he took care of my car. Definitely enjoy killing two birds with one stone. Thanks! Will use again! read more

Bunch of nonsense. Tried calling their office, no one answered. Told them to get lost don't want their service. Very rude and unprofessional. Excellent job -- highly recommended. [Ordered a "GOLD" wash with floor mat shampoo] I usually work at home but was called into the office the next day. My car was not ready (=too dirty)! With Deets, I was able to book an appointment just a few hours later on the same day -- which was amazing. Justin came on time and worked very hard (despite over 90F weather). Basic wash was over $50 with tip. Good job but some scattered spots left that were easily wiped away by me afterwards. Note: Detailed vacuuming does not mean vacuuming under the mats. When the lockdown went into effect, I went to Visalia to be with my family. Not even a week into being home, my car was stolen. The cops found it, thank God, and the damage to the naked eye was very minimal. However, the reason the cops found it is because a good samaritan noticed a car that was covered and it looked out a place so they called the cops. When the cops lifted the car cover, they found 2 people basically living inside. Clothes, drug and paraphernalia, empty fast food cups and fast food containers were everywhere. The car also reeked of weed and cigarettes. Unfortunately, I was still up in Visalia and none of the car washes were open to do the cleaning. I came back to SoCal and put in a Yelp request. Deets got back to me with a great quote so I scheduled time with them. Carlos showed up on time and had a great personality. Any customer facing team would be lucky to have someone like Carlos. He got right to work on my car and said it would be about 2 hours. It was about an hour and 45 minutes when he let me know it was done. The smell of cigarettes is gone, a funky handprint on the ceiling is gone, he also removed some scuffs that I had recently made on the roof when I moved a bookcase and finally the carpets and the seats almost look brand new. It is a 8 year old car! He even blew out some of the nasty crap that had fallen in between my seats. i.e Fries, advil, and God knows what else. I've had my car detailed in the past and one thing I always didn't quite like was the greasy feel afterward. While it was always nice to have it cleaned, everything felt weird. I don't know if Deets has different chemicals or because of the warm weather it dried faster but everything felt normal. I've used them for some time now but the service has been going downhill. I will use another service from now on. The cleaning is only so-so. Absolutely flawless. Do to some home issues, I've had to park our black q7 outside for 5 months - and never washed it (this being a guy who ALWAYS garages his car and washes it weekly). So it was filthy. Absolutely awful. So I ordered the Stage 2 exterior with interior detail. And the car looks brand new (it's 5 years old with 60,000 miles). Completely glistening. Albert & Sebastian were my techs and they killed it. I couldn't be happier!!! I chose the gold package, as you can see by the picture it does not include a thorough vacuum nor wipe of console. The inside of hub caps are not included and missed the upper back glass of windshield. I reached out with my pictures and I apparently received the service that comes with the gold package paid over $60. They offered to come back out but I passed wasn't comfortable. Options would have been nice. I do not recommend, cheaper options available. read more

Customer service is non existent. This was my first time using a mobile car wash company. I feel this type of service is invaluable given it's convenience for the busy bodies. My car was in dire need of a wash. For other parents out there they know what it's like to have accumulation of crumbs, yogurt stains and shoe scuff marks. Did a quick search on Yelp and found this company and decided to give it a go. Easy enough, register and choose your service on their website. I made a reservation for the following day at 9:45am and received a text in the morning that they were short handed and would arrive at 10:40am instead. I said that was fine. The technician arrives and cleans for 40 minutes, texts that he is finished. I scan the car and see a few spots, so he was quick to go back to his van and grab materials needed to clean missed spots. After that, it seemed good at that point and he went on his way. I was just so excited that I had a clean car, I didn't bother checking in detail the cracks and crevices. My mistake was not checking under the front seats and under the mat in the trunk. I paid extra service to get my interior cleaned. I attached photos.. CRUMBS.. and a lot was left untouched. I was so annoyed. I texted them with photos, no response. I followed up again the next day and after a couple days after, even leaving a voicemail for someone to contact me. Look, I paid you for your service, and it was incomplete. Do the right thing and treat your customers with respect by at least responding to rectify the situation. read more

I've been using Deets consistently for a few years now. The quality of service has been going downhill for a while now - while they have increased prices. The price increases I understand, as prices of everything have gone up. But I expect the quality of service to remain. That has not been the case. Today I get a text from the "Deets Technician" that he's going to need to charge me and extra $8 for soap and rinse due to the condition of the car. Yes, it's been raining off and on for 2 weeks, it's a little dirty. I used to detail cars. It doesn't take any extra soap or rinse. This is some sneaky way to charge me for business they lost while it was raining. Not my problem. They then had the audacity to try to charge me a cancellation fee. Avoid using. Terrible customer service. The wash was fine, cleaner was ok to. However, I was asked if I wanted to pay more for additional services to which I said no. 5 minutes later i received a text confirming the charge for this service. I spoke to their customer service team whose response was "it says on the website that we can add a charge but we'll refund you". The CS agent then went on to argue with me about the charge and how I'd authorised it when I had... I sent a complaint but never had a response. There are a lot of services such as this and they normally charge $40 as opposed to $60 this company charge. If I pay more I expect good service and this was appalling. Under no circumstance should a good paying customer be argued with. read more

Rewritting my review to clarify. I purchased the Gold Wash which included interior wipe down and shampoo of cup holders. The tech came, did not wipe any of the interior down or wash the cup holders. I saw the dust still all over my seats so I texted him to come back. He came back to wipe it down, but only wiped down the one seat I showed him. I told him the entire interior was not wiped. So I got the rag and helped him wipe down the entire interior. Showed dust and with 1 wipe, it looked brand new. Then he left. When I sat in front of the car, I noticed the cup holders were not wiped, had grim from old cups. So I texted him again and he said sorry that was missed as well. By now, I have been waiting outside dealing with this car that is pulling me away from work (why I wanted a mobile car wash to come to me or I could wash the car myself like I usually do). I told the tech I have to run and there is no need to come back, but I would like to know what happened and how this was all missed. The owner called me back and offered a 15% discount to my future wash. I told him no, I didnt feel comfortable having them wash my car again where I need to go over everything to make sure all the services were complete. I asked if he could apply it to this wash. I used the 20% first time yelp discount and 15% discount received for not cleaning my interior. I don't think the 15% discount was enough for me having to wipe down the interior and wash my own cup holders to finish. Basically only the outside of the car was washed for a 15% discount that I had to ask for to be applied and I had to help clean the interior. I also mentioned to the tech that I had a ceramic coat over the leather seats. This is not a reason to not touch or wipe the seats with a microfiber cloth. They should know even with a ceramic coat, you can wipe down the seats. There were also a few water spots in The center of my hood. The manager said I should speak to whoever installed my ceramic coat years ago because they follow a wash process and that's impossible. I washed the car again and all the spots are gone. I will not be using Deets or recommending. read more
