Steven is the dude you want to look for. However, he is expensive about $100 expensive so I decided to look somewhere else and I found some company who would guarantee a almost new headlight restoration and a car wash for about $50. For anyone looking for this option, look up Washos. Sorry Steven, a hundred dollars is just too much. I rated him a three for the amazing hospitality he had. Just a great person! Update and response to Steven's comment: Before you say something Steven, do some research before you start pointing fingers. I took it there for a general car wash, not for a headlight restoration. What do you mean I went to a local car wash and no I am trying to tell people on the cheapest and satisfactory option. $100 is a lot for cleaning two headlights. So, my wife said she wanted to give me a gift - to get my car detailed. I looked around and found a couple of 5-Star companies and reached out. Steve, at Smooth As Glass Mobile Auto Detailing responded immediately and answered all of my questions. He offered a reasonable price and we scheduled the work. He showed up 10 minutes early and worked for about 3 hours on a very hot day. He did a complete interior and a complete exterior detail. They call it their Premier Full Detail - and is it ever. Nicest guy and really knows what he is doing. When he got done my car looked better than the day I drove it out of the showroom (2+ years ago). The car glowed, the leather was clean and supple, the glass was almost not even there. On a scale of 1 to 10, he earned a 12!! I have an old BMW M3 which I love so much I've kept it over 19 years as the second owner. I try to keep it up and have things fixed as they need it without actually restoring. The original owner sold it after a cheapie detailing that left a ton of soap in a clean but sticky carpet, which accumulated grime over the 19 years. I really didn't want a cookie cutter interior package since nothing else needed any attention after my having had several fixups done. I needed something individualized in the way of a cleanup. I searched Yelp for the phrase "extraction" and narrowed down to a couple of choices. I settled on Steve because when we talked on the phone he knew exactly what needed to be done and was positive even when I described the dirty carpet as a disaster. He also quoted me a good price to do both the extraction and headlight restoration. When he came out he assessed the situation and said I needed just the hot extraction, no more soap. This was exactly what I was going to ask for and didn't have to. He carefully balanced the amount of cleaning with the need not to break down the fabric. No, no and, really NO! Do not hire this guy, Steve, unless you want to be lied to, cheated, and overcharged. I cannot believe I read all these positive reviews and was suckered into hiring him on the basis of the reviews. I would give him a minus 10 review if I could! Hopefully, this honest review will persuade at least a few of you to never, ever, hire this mysogenistic, dirty, creepy guy, Women, stay away!! I had two cars to clean, and he charged me $200. One car (the older one) was just washed, and it turned out far worse than the cheapest car wash. The other (the newer one) he sort of, kind of said he would do less than a detail. For both cars, he didn't clean the headlights. We had to go out and buy headlight cleaner after he left to get the headlights clean. On the newer car, he used an apparently very dirty rag to wash and wipe the rear window. I tried to drive the car and couldn't see out the back window for the smears and streaks,. My husband had to clean the back window before I could drive the car. And he did very little else to clean either car. I sent him a mild text telling him I was less than happy with his services, but that I wouldn't give him a Yelp review because I did not want to tarnish his reputation, and that I would chalk my experience up to the fact that he was either in a hurry, or he was having a bad day. The result of my text was his return text that was beyond berating, defensive, punitive, angry, and, well, unbelievable! This guy should not, and I mean NOT be in business! As a businessperson, I know that Customer Service 101 is to accommodate your customer, and never to reply to a complaint (and this one was very mild) with belligerence, venom, and threats, Please, never let this guy anywhere near you! He has problems way beyond his shoddy car "detailing"! read more
