I am happy to write this review. I experienced a tire blowout and requested assistance through the Geico app and a tow truck was sent. It was to our pleasant surprise during this stressful event to have such an awesome service person, Erik come and assist. His professionalism, knowledge and skillset was so comforting to us. We requested a tire change and having a mini van the tire was under the van and he knew how to handle getting the tire down to change. He was awesome. The wait was worth it to have the person we did. Terrible service and terrible management, over charging customers and stacking fees. My car battery was workings fine they towed it, left a light on, my battery died and they hooked up the positive and negative wires incorrectly destroyed my battery and blew a fuse. I called and spoke to management and was told they would look into. I called every day for a few weeks same message looking into they never looked into or reimbursed me for the damage they did to my car. Avoid this place at all costs they will over charge you and stack on ridiculous fees and if they damage your vehicle they will not reimburse you. I purchased an old car half buried in a field in Howell Township. Maybe not the smartest move. The car hadn't run in at least 10 years. I needed to get it home and wanted a competent company to make that happen. I don't know much about towing companies other than my employer uses Defalco, so I gave them a call. The woman on the phone was super nice and we set up an appointment. Because of where the car was located, the driver, Bruce, had to pull the car out of the hole on an angle. It took some maneuvering but he figured it out and got the car loaded with no damage. It was impressive. He dropped the car in my driveway exactly where I wanted it. He did it all with a smile and great attitude. When things go without a hitch you don't appreciate the professionalism that made it happen. I saw several opportunities for this experience to go south but Bruce handled it with ease. He was awesome. And they didn't rip me off. If you need a tow give these folks a call. Experience, great attitude, fair price. read more

Never a good time when your car battery dies, not once, but twice. Happy to report the second time was after I had a good workout however. Called my insurance company for roadside assistance because, hey, we pay premiums for this sort of thing. They contacted Defalco's for the service and, gave me an ETA of 75mins. When it's around 9pm that's probably the last thing you want to hear but it is what it is at that point, right? Fortunately, Orlando showed up on only 40mins and was more than accommodating. Sidewall blew out on morning commute. No spare. Geico has arrangement with DeFalco Towing of New Jersey so I used them since free towing is on our policy. During my 2 1/2 hour wait on PA turnpike for pick up by DeFalco, two AAA tow trucks stopped to ask if I needed a tow. Didn't want to cancel with DeFalco so I waited. I called the office 3 times to get an update since the time kept being delayed. Receptionist wasn't accurate with driver's ETA. Kept minimizing (oh he's 20 mins. away, he should be there shortly, etc). If it wasn't for ERIC, (the tow driver's) pleasant personality, ease of conversation, total competence getting my car off the road, etc. this review would have gotten one star rating and have taken on a whole different tone. Perhaps Geico needs to expand their towing capacity to Pennsylvania tow companies so this avoidable delay doesn't occur again. read more

Nastiest office in town. After our local police called them to remove our vehicle which had been hit and only leaking washer fluid. The vehicle was in a parking lot and only had to be moved into a spot. They insisted instead on calling Defalco instead of waiting for our insurance or AAA. Towed to the shop (instead of our home) and basically held for ransom as they closed in 2 hours and are closed on Sat and Sun. The woman in the office was rude and nasty to me, my wife and our son as we were trying to arrange AAA pickup and find out where they were located as their website says permanently closed. This 'arrangement' between Monroe cops and Defalco leaves a lot to be questioned.......shit place and shit service. read more

My tire popped on the side of the road at 9am and by 11:30am I was still waiting for Defalco's to arrive on the scene. When I called to inquire, not only was the woman extremely rude, she told me she cancelled the order for help without notifying me. When I asked why, she told me off and hung up on me! Extremely rude aggressive driver! I was driving and this tow truck was so close behind me I could not even see their front grill in my mirror. I had to slow down pull over and let him pass because I was nervous he would hit me. I blow the horn and he blows his horn so much more than me screaming out the window. If I had to stop short for an emergency we would of needed another tow truck he was that close. I feel so ashamed and embarrassed for this company. What a disgrace. read more

I would give DeFalco's 0 stars if possible. You are better off on the side of the road. The owner, Tom, and his daughter Victoria knowingly overcharge and change their rules with no regard for the customer. They have not responded to claims filed with the BBB or Department of Consumer Affairs. PLEASE READ. I was in an accident on a Friday and the police called DeFalco's for the towing. DeFalco's driver came, gave me a ride, and towed my car to their facility in Monroe. I called Saturday to retrieve my car as DeFalco's doesn't do body work and my insurance had called letting them know I wasn't covered under collision. Victoria told me I could not get my car, although their repair shop is open 8-12 on Sat. Called 12/15 at 8am and was given bill of $617 that included a $40 clean-up site fee, $40 clean-up equipment fee, $40 clean-up yard fee, and a $40 admin fee. Told Victoria that all cleanup was done by NJDOT safety patrol, none by her company. She insisted there was cleanup of fluids. Again repeated no fluid cleanup was done at accident site and any fluid on the bed of the truck should fall under the clean-up equipment fee. She still insisted they had performed cleanup. I told her their prices were higher than other tow companies and it was ridiculous they were charging for cleanup not performed and an unspecified "yard" fee in addition to storage. Told her Compact Kars (CK) would settle my bill and tow the car to their facility; she agreed. Received call later that DeFalco's wouldn't release my car and I needed to come in person. When I asked why this wasn't discussed prior, Victoria told me "You called at 8:01, we had just opened. I can't remember everything." When I told her I was now at work and upset, she stated "Well you did tell me my prices are ridiculous." Arrive at DeFalco's. Victoria (via phone as she would not come to the front of the office) still insisted charges were correct. Mileage was wrong. Correct mileage is 18.8mi per googlemaps. I know exact route taken as I was in truck with driver. Victoria claims 25mi per googlemaps/denied having GPS tracking. As we were getting nowhere and she had kept us on hold, we decided to just pay and get the car out of there. Tried to pay with a check and was told by Tom they would only take cash so I couldn't stop payment. Their website states they accept cash and check for towing. Tom accepted check from CK. read more
