My brother and I spent a few hours at the Alliance range on Wednesday 6/24 -- we rented a private…read moresuite, so that we could take our time with several firearms, draw from the hip, shoot rapidfire, etc. All of those aspects went off fine. The only compliant, granted a very significant one, was that their Air Conditioning in the private suites was NOT WORKING. There was NO mention of this when we signed in online. Further, NO ONE at the counter mentioned this to either of us when we checked in -- perhaps they thought we might -- somehow‍, not notice, that it was over 100° inside of the private suites/indoors?? When we checked out, I said to my brother "I'm guessing they'll likely 'comp us' for half or maybe all of the range fee (as we bought ammo, targets and supplies too) because of the hours long sweating in the un air-conditioned private suites?" ...But NO, no such accommodation was made. I have to say, THAT was an EXTREMELY POOR CHOICE for Shoot Smart to make. I have been going to that range for many years -- and yes, they knew it at the time. However, I may very well NOT be going back.

We went there for our Texas LTC certification and received it, but this center gave us so much more than just the course certification. I now understand the real personal/legal ramifications of being involved in an actual shooting incident, how to safely handle my weapon, alert law officers that I'm legally carrying, when and where to carry, and so much more. The product I received had reliability issues, and while mechanical problems can happen with any manufacturer, what really influenced my opinion was the customer service experience. I did not feel that my concerns were handled in a way that gave me confidence in the company or its commitment to standing behind its products. Because of this experience, I'll be looking at other manufacturers for future purchases. There are a lot of options on the market, and customer service is just as important to me as product quality. I hope Bear Creek Arsenal continues to improve its quality control and customer support, as I believe those changes would make a significant difference for future customers.
