...sadly I did not have a great experience. For the most part everyone was nice and friendly until I had a few issues with the ferry getting over there. Then I was the chastised schoolgirl. As far as the care, I'm sure it was a 50-50 chance the doctor took to pull out one of my teeth that he thought was giving me pain even though I said it was the back tooth. Lo and behold got a new four tooth bridge and it ends up being the back tooth that still has pain. The whole thing left a bad taste in my mouth. No pun intended. I will be going elsewhere to continue my care. read more

My experience here was horrible. I went in for a filling. I was already nervous and while waiting for the dentist to come in another one in the next room was so loud, And I mean loud. My blood pressure went up because my heart was pounding. I could hear every word he said as the people at the front desk. I asked him if he could lower his voice. I was told by the assistant that's just how he talks. Very unprofessional. Aren't dentist offices supposed to at least try and be or have a calming effect ? Oh, and he was trying to sell toothpaste to the woman. They also tried to sell it to me on my first visit. I wonder what kind of percentage they get. Anyway, I walked out crying, and as I walked out, I heard him say, "Let her leave." No apologies or anything. If you have any kind of anxiety or get anxious going to the dentist. This place is definitely not for you. They also tried to charge me double on my cleaning. When I asked about it, they said it was a mistake. I do not recommend it. read more

I have never had a better dental appointment experience than I recently had with DDS! They were incredible at explaining everything they were doing and did a very thorough job every step of the way. The dentist went through every detail of my x-rays and pictures with me and what it all means for the health of my teeth. My hygienist was amazing! This place saved my life today!! Had a pretty bad experience with a dental office that pretty much wouldn't listen to me when I said I had a toothache and so I decided to call Defiance Dentsl Studio and from the time I was on the phone with them til I walked out of their office I am beyond impressed! Dr Sekhon is a magician/ Dentist! He took this tooth out with no issue!! I felt nothing!! Hes skilled! He's very kind and he listens to his patients! Bryanne is very nice as well. She allowed me to hold her hand during my tre as trent as I am a big baby when it comes to dental treatments! The ambiance in there is comfy and almost home like! Just the very BEST! - Highly professional practice with great staff attuned to finding your needs and the best way to treat you. If it wasn't a dentist's office I'd go there more often just to hang out and have fun! My son is getting ready to go off to college. So I thought it was a good time to get his teeth checked before he goes. I could not be happier with the service and professionalism. Turned out he needed only a cleaning and some protective coatings on a few teeth. Never did I feel uncomfortable. No pressure . My son tells me the experience was great. I recently moved to North Tacoma and was in need of a new dentist. I'm in my 50's, and have been going for dental visits since I was a kid. Hands down, this is the best overall dental experience I have ever had! I love that when I called, I was greeted with a friendly helpful person. She helped me with my insurance benefits. I went in for my first appointment today and was oh, so happy! My dental hygienist walked me though everything she was doing. The x-ray machine here is super high tech -- they have a television on an adjustable arm so they can bring it up close to you so you can see what they are talking about. Also, they will put the television on anything you'd like to watch -- including Netflix. I've never been to a dental office that has television for you! It was nice, so it could distract me from the work being done in my mouth. However, the dental work was professional and thorough. I was asked if I had any problems with my teeth. I did -- a crown that my last dentist did a few years ago wasn't quite right. There was a gap at the gum line, and a gap where food constantly gets stuck (I had gone back to that dentist multiple times to get it adjusted, but it still has been problematic). Dr Sekhon (who likes to be called AJ) told me he has fixed this kind of problem before! I can't wait for him to replace this crown! Dr Sekhon is fantastic! I feel I have found my forever dental home. He is very outgoing and he really cared about me as a patient. I highly recommend Defiance Dental Studio!!! read more

I called the office because I had recently moved to Tacoma from out of state and needed a new Dentist. I had been without one for about 3 years and had an infection under a bridge that had gone into the bone. I was to go to the UK for vacation and didn't want everything to blow up while there. They were amazing! They got me in within 2days. They showed me the X-rays and we discussed options. I came in for a bone graft and extraction and healed up beautifully. When I get home from vacation we will start on the implant. I've had poor teeth my whole life and have been to countless Dentists. This was the most painless dental appointment I have ever had! I can not recommend them enough. I will go nowhere else. read more

This office was filled with the most wonderful, friendly and down-to-earth staff I've ever experienced. Upon walking in the door I felt immediately at ease with everyone. The extremely clean, high tech, brand new office was so comfortable with so many little luxuries that I had never experienced in a dental office before! I loved that the treatment plan they came up with was on the cautious side as opposed to so many offices that take more extreme measures with treatments.
