Called on a Saturday for appt and Dwayne very anxiously said no we have services all day. I said ok and tried to set up appt for Monday. He said he's way too busy and would call back end of week. He called Thursday afternoon late and I couldn't call until after work at 3 Friday. Got the same run around about appt for Saturday or even on the phone-- he said he would have to callback week to get appt. Got a message late on Thurs and called at 3pm the next day because I'm working. Was told by Dwayne I couldn't talk to anyone on Saturday and would cb next week--again won't set up an appt for next week today.. He then said are you wanting cremation. (I was thinking a showing then cremation) I said yes eventually Well he said then that can't even be done until after the person dies and it takes time - I said we are thinking about a showing first just not sure yet and want to discuss further. He said I should go somewhere that does cremation or call after my family dies and wouldn't expound what services they over. . We wanted the services and venue in our home town. This funeral home isn't interested in helping to plan especially since it wouldn't allow even a discussion about Services. I have talked and seen another place in a nearby town. Very friendly and accommodating. Saw me last Saturday and sat down with planning just was concerned about location so held off on my decisions . Shouldn't that be included as part of the burial/ cremation expenses? At the least you should be upfront about the possibility of additional charges not drop it when a person arrives to pay the " final" bill. I would recommend a different service when the need arises. My family and I received a lot of support from the staff here during some difficult times. We had a slideshow set up with pictures to show and brought our own computer and projector, but there was miscommunication on our end as a family and we didn't have the right inputs/cables. When I asked the staff if they had a VGA/HDMI adapter and they did not, they right away put me at ease and told me they would have a staff member run to Best Buy and get the adapter we needed. I was able to spend my time focused on our family and love one, not worrying about tech issues.
