We've been happy with our treatment and stylist, but a friend recently switched to Jasmine and said the results were better than ever. My daughter had 2 days home between summer adventures so I figured it was worth trying Jasmine. She was booked when I reached out, but then the week of let me know she had a cancellation and could take her - whoo hoo! The entire process took 4.5 hours, which is long, but crazy enough less than the 5+ hours we usually spend doing this treatment. Jasmine herself was was super friendly and confident that my daughters hair would be better than ever with this treatment. I was hopeful, but skeptical. She got to work right away with a few assistants helping with the process. When I picked up my daughter I was shocked how straight and smooth her hair was after just running a blow dryer thru it for a few minutes. My daughter was thrilled, although she hoped it would be a little wavy after braids since she doesn't like it perfectly straight. She took off for camp the next day, but the only letter I've gotten in the mail is (no joke) "my hair is totally straight." And based on the camp pictures I've been amazed by how well it took to her hair. It looks a little wavy at the ends and I'm guessing she's likely sleeping in braids to get it to curl a bit. We usually have to do this treatment every 5 months. Jasmine thought every 6-12 months, but our roots grow in so curly that I'd be shocked if we could go that long. I'm also interested in trying Jasmine for the magic sleek, but she thought other treatments would be better for my blonde (highlighted) hair like the keratin express. It's tough to please a 13 year old when it comes to hair (and other things), but I think Jasmine did it!

However, I was greeted very cordially and brought back to Tanya, who had a station in the back. Tanya was nice, no frills, and did my simple manicure professionally and quickly. You work with their group directly who then contract out hair and makeup stylists for your trail and day of services. If you are someone who likes direct contact with a stylists this may not be the route for you. HOWEVER! They offer very low minimum spend (5 services) and no charges for travel as long as your getting ready location is in the suburbs. This was perfect as I had a small bridal party and minimal family members interested in getting hair or makeup done. Also, their prices were very competitive. I worked with Sam for makeup! Sam did a great job asking the right questions, applying the right looks for people who usually wear minimal makeup, and checking in to ensure what she was doing was liked. Everyone felt very much like themself and makeup lasted all night. For hair, I worked with Alex! Between my trail and wedding morning, it took Alex and I some time to get to my final wedding look. She was patient with me but had some difficulties interpreting my vision. I can 100% say that it was all worth it in the end because i LOVED my hair. I felt like myself and it held all night. My other girls also enjoyed their hair and really felt heard by Alex. Lastly, I recommend to Style on Site to shoot for consistency with their clients. Five minutes later, the same esthetician who I presume Natalie below talked to asks if I have an appt, I say yes, and the first thing out of her mouth is "well I don't think you should stay because she's probably not coming in." I'm thinking: Who is "she"? Isn't this a business? Am I being punked? Well "she" is the OWNER who apparently hasn't called or texted or paid her employee in more than a week. Her employee sees me on the schedule but has no way of getting in touch with the owner and just says "I don't know what to tell you" repeatedly and shows me her failed to be received text messages to her boss. Meanwhile a third customer comes in, poor girl is leaving the country next day so has no alternative, but gets the cold shoulder too. I'm asked to leave because the employee is there alone and needs to lock up behind me even though their hours say open. So just standing in the cold in a dodgy part of town with raggy hair.

I didn't know they could look this good. This is a great shop. It's friendly, clean, and accommodating. They do everything they can to make their clients comfortable. And in case the virus is a concern, they do everything you'd want to have done to guard against COVID - I am hyper-cautious and feel perfectly comfortable here. Stations are distanced and have shields, masks are required, hand-sanitizer is everywhere, and there are never a lot of people in the salon at one time. You can even pay without touching anything. There's a reason this salon has been around for 20+ years. It's a quiet little jewel and I highly recommend it.
