LOVED my experience getting eyelash extensions here! I had been toying with the idea for quite some time. While getting a watch battery replaced, I serendipitously walked past this place and inquired about their services. They have great discounted rates if it's your first time as a customer here. Appointments are easy to make over the phone (though I wish they gave us the option to do so online). When I arrived, they did an awesome job of sitting down with me and teaching me about the different "looks" I could get. I went with the natural "cute" C-curl style with sable eyelashes as opposed to the synthetic ones. As for the application process, I basically drifted in and out of sleep for an hour while they worked on my lashes. It was very relaxing and they are super hygienic. I have sensitive eyes and didn't experience any adverse reactions. As for the finished product, I felt like a total glamour goddess at the end! My lashes were as tall as the mighty redwoods. I'm a swimmer and invested in a pair of goggles to protect the awesome lashes, too (and to avoid the "wet mop" effect after getting them wet, lol). Looked great, but didn't last due to allergies I admit, my lashes looked great-- for a day. It's probably not their fault. My eyes itched from the beginning, and they watered all day. Getting the lashes wet is a huge no no, but since my eyes were watering due to either outside allergies, the glue that's used, or a combination of both, it couldn't be helped. It also takes nearly 1 1/2 hours to have them applied-- that's you laying down with your eyes shut for an hour and a half. Sounds more relaxing than it is. I'm not disgruntled in any way. I didn't ask for any recompense. But if you have watery eyes, you may want to reconsider. For me it was $130 down the drain. read more

Few years ago I came to this place for eyelash extensions and was extremely happy. I have recently moved to Arlington Heights and decided to go back to this business, as I remember having beautiful soft lashes from my last appointment. I was reassured that the lashes were real mink, however they felt much stiffer and "plastic" like than I remember. My eyes were irritated and unfortunately I found myself at times "tweezing" them out as they continued to roughly poke my eyes. The lashes further come out in multiples, so there was either too much glue used and they stick together, or one-to-one lash was not applied (see photo). Bad aesthetician not fully trained. Owner lied to me said said going to take care of my injured eye but did not pay my doctors bill and when I reached out to her I was told that she did not witnessed me getting poked in the eye and told me she didn't care because signed a Waiver the waiver did NOT mentioned getting poked in the eye. This is when after the injury she helped me flushed it with water and saw how red my eyes are, and advised me to seek medical attention. She doesn't own their for own mistakes. It doesn't matter who you see- these girls are highly professional, educated and fabulous at doing eyelashes! I have been to sooooo many different places and this is by far the best eyelash place I have ever been too. I can literally go 3 weeks in between fills and they hardly come off. I have been wanting to get eyelash extensions for over 3 years now but have had many hesitations. Now that I am working in corporate while going to school, eye make up just takes way tooooo long in the mornings. I'd rather do my brows and base and get my butt out the door, so I opted to get these extensions. This was my absolute first time getting eyelash extensions, and I am beyond impressed for a few reasons- First off, the facility is absolutely stunning. The interior had me in awe internally (calm, quiet and peaceful). Trimmings were extremely tasteful and had my inner designer quite content. Secondly, the owner is incredibly accommodating, sweet and mindful of your personal tastes and will work with you to figure out which lashes would be the best for your eye shape and your personal style. There are so many different variations of each style. I just had her choose something for me personally and I thought they worked perfectly for my eye shape. If you're anything like me, you're the type that researches the crap out of something before you try it. I was so scared to get extensions because of all the rumors of eyelashes falling out, the glue hurting eyelids.. etc however, there was none of that with this place. The glue ONLY hurts if you open your eyes during the procedure (which I do naturally because I sleep with my eyes slightly open.... yikes I know.. a nightmare). The application process does not hurt in the slightest and is very peaceful and quick yet thorough. I felt that each lash was being taken care of. HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend for everyone. This place is awesome for lash extensions. The staff was extremely kind and informing and HONEST. Very clean and beautiful. I loved it. The thing I've realized from trying different places is every place has a different style and technique. They only like to do volume lashes for special occasions and didn't think I should wear volume lashes all the time to take good care of my lashes. Also the fans they use for volume are premade fans of three lashes. This was all news to me and I've been getting my lashes done for over three years. I got my lashes done at a different salon a few weeks ago, and I had never gotten them done before. The lash tech used too much glue and all of the lashes were clumped together, it was a real mess. (Not to mention the glue got in both my eyes, leaving both of my eyes burning, and one of them with an infection.) I came here to get them fixed, and WOW. I am amazed at how well they turned out. I was afraid that I wouldn't have any lashes left after the first job, but I am absolutely amazed at how wonderful my lashes look now. It feels like I'm not even wearing any! I don't know which technician did my lashes today, but she is a miracle worker. She didn't have much to work with but she completely transformed my eyelashes today. BRAVO! read more

UPDATE / EDIT: I have decided to go back to Manhattan for a second chance, and I was very happy with my results and my choice to go back. This time I was given exactly what I asked for the place was very clean and whomever did my eyes did a very wonderful job I am two weeks post eyelash appointment and I have yet to have any fall out! My lashes are looking great and I will go back for a third time for my touch up. First time client here, and I have to stay while the place was VERY clean and beautiful, I am disappointed. Not only did I pay triple the price for a lash extension fill than I normally do (my current girl at a different salon was booked and I had a last minute event to attend, I needed an emergency lash appointment!) I did not get what I asked for at all! I always get the "glam" look, which is super big full lashes. I told her what size and thickness lash I use, she did not use what I said and it's obvious. I will post pictures of my normal lash from my other salon and want I got here, the results differ completely! I paid TRIPLE the price, to get a NATURAL look when I wanted GLAM. It is so upsetting to me, and to top it off, she was unhappy about my tip and was not shy to mention it. Very unprofessional. After looking in the mirror I didn't want to tip at all! I may be the minority here but for the price I paid I should've got what I asked for. I will never skip an appointment with my normal again! Be stern on what you want here. I've been coming to this salon since last fall and absolutely love the end results. Initially I didn't know what look to start with but these girls were so professional, they took their time explaining and showing you pictures of what end results you can achieve. One thing you have to remember is that everyone's eyes are shaped differently so you look will look different from everyone else's. I initially stated with the natural look, since I don't have full lashes but now I've went up to natural-cute "D" lashes just to give a little dramatic look. i definitely would recommend this salon to others who are looking to get fuller lash look. If your also looking to get additional "nap time", then this is the place. Take a nap while they work on your lashes and wake up feeling refresh! I recommend Sunny and Arka to get your lashes done. While I thought this place did good job, the lashes themselves are bad quality and very thin. I don't think it was worth the $140 I paid. Came in expecting to pay $100-$120 at most as a new customer since they do a "new customer discount." I really am only doing this for one occasion, so I didn't want to pay higher than my expectation since I wouldn't be getting them redone. I wanted the "classic eyelashes" because I haven't gotten these and I wanted a natural look. I was then told that they wouldn't be able to do that because my lashes were too long or dark already. This was obviously just a tactic to take more of my money. I am told the new total will be $140. This place is known for trying to get extra money out of you, there are other yelp reviews that have had a similar situation. It's really sad that beauty businesses like this try to take advantage of women who do this service to feel more confident and beautiful, and it's such a common thing. I agreed because there's a $50 cancellation fee that I wasn't looking to pay that. I'm sure they would've charged me for walking out. Firstly, they didn't give me the discount for being a new customer and trying them out, not sure as to why they would falsely advertise this on their website. Secondly, told me some excuse to up the price and get more money out of me. And the most baffling part was I purposely didn't tip because I felt like they only cared about getting the most out of me. This lady seriously asks "no tip?" No, I wasn't going to give one because I wasn't satisfied overall, so why are you asking me after I've already gave you more than enough? I thought it was very clear after she said this that they were just after my money. I mean I just agreed to pay $40 more than I assumed when I booked the appointment. I would have voluntarily tipped if I felt like the service and the price was worth it, but sadly it wasn't. If you want thin Amazon DIY quality eyelashes that are overpriced, this is your place. The place is also very clean and you feel very welcome.
