From start to finish, everyone was extremely helpful and nice to us as I escorted my Uncle to every area of the hospital. The Care Quality and customer service was excellent and we did not have any issues today. I would definitely recommend this location for your medical needs. It was definitely the professionalism and service for me.

They treated me professionally and compassionately. My concern is with an organization that appears to prioritize revenue over patients. I came to the emergency room because I believed I was experiencing a medical emergency--not because I had a choice. I left not only grateful for the medical care, but shocked by the charges that followed. As an insured, working American who pays taxes and health insurance premiums, I found it difficult to understand how basic items and routine services could be billed at prices that seem disconnected from reality. Patients don't comparison-shop during emergencies, and they shouldn't be financially punished for seeking care. The standard response is always, "That's just how healthcare works." But those prices are set by people. Leadership chooses the policies that determine what patients are charged. The medical staff earned my appreciation. The billing practices earned this review. I hope the leadership of this organization takes a hard look at whether its financial priorities truly reflect its mission to care for the community.

The surgery was performed at Northside Hospital on Johnson Ferry Rd. I was admitted to Northside Hospital's 2nd Floor Neuro for recovery. I couldn't have had a better experience! Every single nurse and staff treated me with the upmost care, professionalism and personable attitudes. I chose to stay longer, because I knew I was being taken care of above and beyond! On May 19th 2026, I decided to have my lower lumber surgery done by Dr. Paul Jeffords and once again performed at Northside Hospital. Once again, I was taken care of beyond all measure and stayed additional days/nights, because I knew I was in the BEST care EVER!!! On July 28th, 2026, I had an additional spinal surgery performed by Dr. Jeffords and his team. This surgery was performed at Northside Hospital and once again, I was treated with the utmost care one could want. I, again, chose to stay an additional day, because of the superior care I received from all of the nurses and staff on the 2nd Floor. I am incredibly grateful to Dr. Paul Jeffords and his talented group, Scott Siegel, Shelby and Elissa! I am most appreciative of Northside Hospital's 2nd Floor staff to include: Arin - 80153, Jada - 80035, Christina, Jennifer, Catrina - 53355, David - 73712, Renee - 83293, Sam - 83333, Mae - 81991 (8th floor), Nonye - 82763, Sharale - 82949, Ruka - 73712, Ben - 81615, Austin - 77890 and Casandra (Kitchen staff). The lobby was literally empty on a Saturday. My loved one was evaluated immediately and there was a clean room available and staff who checked in frequently. We saw a friendly doctor who actually read the chart. It wasn't cold and we had cable tv to watch. Because it could have been minor or serious, my loved one was fed and given a room in the "Clinical Decision Unit" to sleep in overnight to wait for an MRI. Our room was comfortable and I was able to sleep in a recliner. The staff brought blankets and a pillow. This may sound normal but it's a world away from Emory University Clifton hospital where we paid to park and waited in a freezing lobby crammed with sick people for 15 hours before seeing a doctor. We literally heard people screaming because they were in pain. There were no doctors, a nurse said someone died due to lack of staff, one of the security guards was stabbed in the hand, it was like a horror movie! Even if you called 911 and arrived on a stretcher (which is recommended to fast track service), you'll be lined up stretcher to stretcher to freeze and wait like the rest of us. It took several days and constant checking for an MRI, whether you were admitted to the hospital or not. And I'd still choose Emory Clifton over Decatur or Hillandale.. But now we have a better option. The only area for improvement at St. Joe's would be a cafeteria open on weekends but food delivery is available. We don't always need an ER but when we do, we will go to St. Joseph's. It's worth the drive!

ER's con: The lobby wait time was very long. On a different not, the 5th nurses Morgan and Elizabeth discharged disabled patient with feces on butt and private part area, staff not familiar with ADA rules. Anne, nurse aide was lazy she would stay seated at station when the buzzer was press for help with toilet assistance. She also disconnected sensors on bed to prevent falls then left room. Terrible experience for a disabled patient on this floor.

A Truly Outstanding Hospital Experience…read more Emory Johns Creek Hospital has been a Godsend to my family, and after finally having the opportunity to experience it as a patient myself, I can honestly say that the reputation is well deserved. From the facility itself to the doctors, nurses, and support staff, everything felt well-run, professional, and genuinely focused on patient care. In Gwinnett County, I honestly don't think it gets much better than Emory Johns Creek. I came to the ER with appendicitis, and Dr. Curtis took care of me with precision, confidence, and great attention to my care. I'm especially grateful for the nurses who looked after me, including Rose and Dorothy, as well as all of the other nurses and staff members who treated me with professionalism and kindness throughout my stay. A helpful tip if you ever have to visit the ER: Sunday morning was surprisingly reasonable. We were checked in, evaluated, and seen relatively quickly, and the entire process felt organized and professional. Of course, ER wait times can vary, but our experience was excellent. Even the little things stood out. Parking was easy, the facility was clean and comfortable, and the food was surprisingly healthy and complete for hospital food. Most importantly, I left feeling like I had been cared for by people who truly knew what they were doing--and that matters when you're the patient. 5 solid stars for Emory Johns Creek Hospital! A huge thank you to Dr. Curtis, Rose, Dorothy, and the entire team who took such good care of me. You were true professionals, and I'm genuinely grateful. 5-star hospital and two thumbs up! And, as Baymax would say in Big Hero 6: "I am satisfied with my care."

Every member of the staff I encountered treated me with kindness, professionalism, and genuine concern. My room was spacious, comfortable, and exceptionally clean. The Environmental Services staff did an outstanding job keeping everything spotless. On the first morning of my stay, my wife immediately commented on how clean the room looked--something she had never said during any previous hospital stay. The staff thoroughly cleaned and dusted the room, mopped the floor, and even changed the trash bag even though it was barely full. Their attention to detail did not go unnoticed. I also noticed a small device under the sink that I later learned was a Synexis air purification system. It operates so quietly that I never heard it, but I was impressed to learn that it continuously helps improve air and surface quality by generating a safe form of hydrogen peroxide. It was reassuring to see Northside Hospital Cherokee investing in technology that helps protect patients from the spread of germs. The food service exceeded my expectations. There was a wide variety of menu choices, the meals arrived on schedule, the portions were generous, the food was served at the proper temperature, and every meal was exactly what I ordered. Hospital food often gets a bad reputation, but that certainly wasn't my experience here. My discharge process was one of the smoothest I've ever experienced. Nurse Brenda made sure my wife and I had everything packed so nothing was left behind. She asked my wife to bring the car around to the entrance, and within just a couple of minutes I was on my way home. The entire process was efficient, organized, and stress-free. The highlight of my stay, however, was the nursing staff. Their compassion, professionalism, and positive attitudes made all the difference. Brenda and Elizabeth cared for me during the day, while Nancy and another night-shift nurse--whose name I unfortunately cannot remember--provided excellent care overnight. Every one of them treated me with respect and kindness, and they always seemed to have a smile on their face. They should be highly commended for their dedication to their patients. If I ever need hospital care again and have a choice, Northside Hospital Cherokee will be my first choice without hesitation. Thank you to everyone who made my stay such a positive experience. Your hard work and commitment to patient care are truly appreciated. Irvin F
