This has to be the most electrifying and organized tennis center I have encountered. Greeted by smiles from the amazing and personal staff, I feel at home already. I had a tennis lesson there and I benefited a lot and will definitely be back!! And OH did I mention how their adult and junior programs are just something you have to try if you're looking for exercise, competition, or fun!

2nd or 3rd time visiting, but 1st review. I've attended adult workshops on a few occasions and found the coaches (Amy, Joe, & Josh) to be insightful and helpful. Agape Academy is located at the Dekalb Tennis Center which is off of Clairmont. There are many courts available for use. My session today went from 10am to 1pm and cost $30. Good mix of talent levels kept it interesting. As it got up to about 80 degrees today, the coaches provided us with Gatorade and snacks which was much appreciated. Nice to have this resource in the community.

Mainly because that was the only meat item I preferred. Everything else was veggies and fruits. I'll also add that I arrived a bit late and the food looked picked over, so I didn't really want to eat much. The drinks were ok. Once again, this was for a staff event, so I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt with multiple teachers hanging out at the bar with drink tickets in hand. The setup is really nice. I really enjoyed playing pickle ball and I will definitely be back without such a large group.

We had so much fun, no clue how to play pickleball but we had a good time just being active! We took a mid play break and sat at the bar for drinks. Our bartender Summer was the bomb, she let us sample the frozen drinks (the transfusion and the John Daly, I reaallllly liked the John Daly) and I decided to try a Pimm's cup for the first time. It won't be the last because this was FIRE! Sooo good and refreshing. I really enjoyed my first time at the painted pickle and would def return to play "pickleball" again lol!

I entered into their bleak looking entrance and discovered a well laid out interior that was clean and lively. Signs led me to the check-in desk a young, bald man with a goatee sat. I asked if he could tell me a little about the place. He gave me a hurried run down, as he appeared to look over my head avoiding eye contact the entire time. I playfully even moved myself back and forth in an attempt to meet his gaze with his twitchy diverted eye focus, because the interaction felt strange. Unnatural. After receiving some printed information from him, I purchased a cup of coffee and hung around to check out the vibe . Unfortunately, and possibly consciously, I believed that my opinion had already formed. The strange encounter with the man at the check in counter had sealed it. It was unwelcoming. It was cold. It was intentional. It really is a shame. With the density of this area, we could use an alternative to Pickle and Social. As for me, however, this place is not it, and if you know, you know.

Recently a friend…read moreof mine who was still a member asked if I'd play in a tourney with him if he paid for it (he was aware of my experience and feelings about patronizing this place). I agreed since we are a team and he was willing to pay so we signed up on 4/9. the tourney was being held at 9am on 4/26. on 4/26 @12:24am we both received emails stating that we were being withdrawn from the event. Apparently I was banned from the facility due to sharing my less than satisfactory experience. Just further solidifies why I made the decision I did to cancel the membership after having a poor experience during the trial membership. Luckily for me I was woke at the time the email came through so I didn't wake up early and drive across town to get this news. If I was banned why accept submission and money to begin with. Also, why wait til the last minute and punish my friend who despite seeing how i was treated continued to patronize your business. When you could have said weeks ago about this ban so that he could find another partner. but I guess I should be thankful that he at least refunded me this time
