Really great place. I really enjoy that at this location there are grass ranges which is unlike many of the other driving ranges here in SD. There are also mats which you can use as well. Prices: Small - 45 balls - $13 Medium - 75 balls - $15 Large - 105 balls - $19 Jumbo - 150 balls - $22 They have a short game area is also free to use There is also a top tracer area that goes for $35 an hour and Although I havent done it, it seems like a pretty decent deal as you get unlimited balls. I usually go on weekend during the afternoon and there are always plenty of spots for both parking and hitting. Overall, I would recommend going here, the prices are a bit much relative to other places but you get to hit off grass which I think is better than hitting off mats. read more

Nice that they offer youth on course small bucket for $2 but two different workers were very combative and rude to our group. We are not from here and have never been to this golf center. Apparently my son picked the wrong bay to hit balls and it was a reserved area only. Be kind and explain where he should hit, not rude and assuming we should know and meant to do wrong. We played mini golf and it was difficult to see after sunset and the guy who rang us up was not nice. We asked if he gave us the pricing for the child and senior in our group and he very rudely said of course, printed the receipt to show us and told us we should keep it in case we wanted to doubt him again. My goodness. Overall left us with a bad vibe and worst place we've been in the area. Not nice staff but offerings seem nice to have if you live nearby. Bummer on the angry workers :/ read more

I've been here three times. The establishment is wonderful! They also have mini golf in addition to the golf range. They also have food available to order which they bring to your Bay. I absolutely love that they are also dog friendly! The staff is so pleasant and knowledgeable, especially Anthony! He's very friendly and welcoming to everyone. Driving range facilities have been upgraded! Top Tracer invaluable for learning what club to use when, and putting greens are helpful. Need a better sand trap for practice, last time I checked. An expansive area of mats and real grass for practice. Best in town as best I know. read more

The best range in the neighborhood. Has mats (standard approach: get the balls at the machine, find a mat, and shoot), grass, mats with cameras that track your ball ($25 per hour), "suites" (same, but more spacious, $45). The mats with camera setup had gazebo-type roofs providing shade, autoloaders (unlimited balls), adjustable tees. All the usual trappings are present as well (instructors, swing mechanics cameras, places for putting and pitching practice). Uncrowded in the mornings on weekdays. Come on weekend at noon, there might be no driving lanes left. Tees on regular mats are of random height. If you do not want to scavenge around for the height you like, bring your own. Mats with cameras and suites can be reserved on-the-spot at the kiosk next to the entrance. read more

If you hit over 260 yards at this golf center, you can KILL someone walking the Coast to Crest Trail. This golf center is allowed to operate with no safeguards is not acceptable. There are people including little children on that trail every single day. Today a ball whizzed past my head and I was shocked to see a golf ball. This has been reported before and nothing has changed. I counted and took videos of over 20 balls just today. You have been warned. read more

I've been coming here for a while, I love it. It can get busy, especially between 3-7 after work. You can typically find a bay within a few minutes of waiting and parking has never been an issue for me. Driving range is kept in great condition! My only comment would be if you come later in the day on the grass range, the grass can get pretty beaten up! Other than that, they have raised prices lately. They are still in line with other driving ranges so not crazy but a downside! The short game practice is free and I think that is the only free one I know of in the area! Been going here for over a decade. They just lost a customer. Recent price increase is absurd. $19 for a large?!?! It's a complete joke. They claim that it's to compete with competitive prices and maintenance for the grass area... I would be okay if the grass was actually good grass but its comparable to the 1st cut of rough at a sub $50 tee time. Greed has taken over and I am not going to participate. That's 3 prices increases over the last 3 years. Trying to charge like top golf when it's something youre not. Once TG comes in, wont be too long before this is place is an after thought. This spot is perfect for a sunny afternoon getting some exercise outdoors. I had a great experience with my group at a bay which we were able to reserve for 2 hours at a pretty reasonable price. The service is great with food and drinks brought right to the bay from the café, and my favorite part was the Top Golf tracking & game selection. If you want a quick session, a bucket of balls are only around $10 for the unreserved spots. This spot is a new favorite, and I will be back for mini golf! read more

The facilities and people here are excellent. Located just across from the Del Mar fairgrounds and easy to get to--right off the freeway, a golfer can get lessons, practice their putting, chipping, driving, and do some shopping/trying out clubs at The Golf Mart right on the property. The coaches and staff here are friendly, and they have a Golf Academy (and camps in the summer) for kids too. Pelly's Mini Golf is also located here too. PROS: friendly and helpful staff, prices are reasonable for different sized buckets of balls, they have lots of mats for practicing and a nice chipping and putting area. Pelly's Mini Golf is located adjacent to the chipping and putting area and has two 18-hold miniature golf courses. CONS: I wish they were even bigger. There are usually plenty of places to practice on the driving range but sometimes when they have a fitting event (all the major companies come out to show off their equipment), there are fewer spots to set up. BOTTOM LINE: it's a great driving range to get some practice in, with friendly staff and well kept facilities. Prices are reasonable. Having the Golf Mart and Pelly's Miniature Golf on site are bonuses too. read more

After 6 years of living in San Diego, I finally got the golf bug. Hitting the range at Mission Beach is cool, but hitting the range with shot tracing is way sicker. It's a step below Top Golf and surprisingly affordable. Beers are like 5 bucks and you can rent the bays by the half-hour. Can get busy after work or on the weekends, but a great way to get some shots up and pound some brews. read more

Came here with a friend for the first time a few weeks ago and honestly never knew this place existed. I have driven by this place while on the freeway but never realized how massive the driving range is! It is a great place to practice driving and putting. It is super easy to navigate even for a first timer. There are huge bright lights that stay on after dark until closing which means you get extra drive time! There is a ball machine where you can choose your desired ball count and it gets dispensed into a basket. Then you pick a driving spot and start hitting! It is super nice and a fun time for rookies and professionals! It was great coming along with someone who knew what they were doing and had their own clubs! I do not think they do rentals (and definitely not during COVID) but if you have your own set of clubs or need some new ones there is a Golf Mart on the property where you can buy some! If you need some solid equipment recommendations, Mitchell from Golf Mart has a wealth of knowledge about all things golf and will get you set up for sure! Sadly, Thursday, February 22 was my last day going to this range. Been coming here for 15 years. They just increased their prices again now a small bucket is $13 that's insane that's total greed they're busier than they've ever been in their history. Thursday night 7:30 PM they close at nine every stall was taken on the grass and the mats, but that's not enough for them. They just jacked up the prices so I'm done with them. There's other ranges that are much less expensive. It's become a total scam. half the range balls are garbage anyways. Inflation only happens when customers let it speak with your dollars. This is my go to driving range because it's close to my house so I'm there on a weekly basis. Pros: - open till 9pm - lots of bays to rent if you choose - options to hit off mats or grass - 3 putting/chipping areas - instructors to hire (flyers around the center) - two 18 hole mini golf course Cons: - real grass gets pretty torn up and muddy - during really busy times, have to wait for a spot to open up Other things to note: - once my car got hit in the parking lot (by another car, not a golf ball) and the person didn't leave a note and there aren't security cameras overlooking the parking lot. Not their fault, could have happened anywhere. - they lock up there ball machine at 8, so even though they close at 9, you must get there before 8 if you want a bucket of balls. read more

Best FREE short game area in San Diego!! Greens roll true & pure. Chipping greens are big! They close the putting green Monday, one chipping green Tuesday, and the other Wednesday for maintenance but otherwise solid practice can be done here!! They also have GRASS for no additional cost than mats!! The mini golf course is awesome, the material they use to putt on rolls true and isn't that crazy extra roll kind of place. You can actually get good putting practice in on mini golf, while taking the kids for a good time! They will love it!! They have a new top golf Toptracer system underneath these covered tops that you can bring a group to come play. It's virtual golf with different challenges and the flags are all GPS so accurate yardage!! This is $25/hr and includes a bucket. It has chairs so you can sit and take turns playing. I really like this place: friendly staff, driving ranges with either mats or grass, and the shot tracker system! The shot tracker system measures your distances off of any club in your bag, plus you can play virtual golf courses with the system. It is only $25 an hour and includes 100 range balls...this is a bargain. Parking is plentiful but choose your dates and times wisely as the streets can get congested if something is going on at the Del Mar race track. The only down side to this wonderful facility is that if there is a breeze, dirt kicked up from the adjacent dirt parking lot can render your clean car not so clean. (This is a FYI only.) read more
