Grande Nachos with lettuce, onions, cilantro, beans, pickled onions, cheese, and some green sauce

I just visited this restaurant on the 18th of December and it was great! Very welcoming, very warming. I was greeted with smiles and sat shortly after arriving. I forget the name of my waitress but she was amazing. The food: We got the nachos & chipotle chicken pasta The nachos were vegetarian, but it was loaded with beans, tomatoes, lettuce and all that other good stuff. We got the full, and it literally fills you up, i didn't even get to really get into the pasta. Definitely would recommend The pasta was okay. That's why it's getting a 4. It was sweeter than expected so we packed it up and reheated it in the over later on but it wasn't something i would get again not gonna lie. Over all great experience and cool place to eat

This was my first time trying this place. I drove by and didn't even know the place existed but since I am a sucker for Mexican food...I thought to give it a try! I truly don't know how to rate this place because the service sucked initially. It was only 3 people at the bar. I made 4. It took a long time for someone to acknowledge me even though the bar was area wasn't busy. I did notice after sitting for so long that the bartender was servicing 2 other tables inside and a few tables outside. So I don't blame him but I do blame management (when I walked through the door-they were chatting instead of helping the guy btw) Anyway, eventually a bartender came over and made me a drink. I suppose he was helping because he didn't stay long. The actual bartender came over and took my order about 20 minutes later and offered complimentary chips and salsa. He was polite and eventually attentive after some tables were done eating. The ambiance was nice. It was clean and appeared to be a new restaurant. I would go back maybe an earlier time and have an actual waitress. Food was okay. I got the cheesesteak rolls and frozen margarita even though I wanted "on the rocks" I guess he didn't hear me. It was good tho.

Amazing place Jeremy and Jess were amazing the environment was cool and had a nice feel , they have alcoholic and non alcoholic options (of that I am grateful since I don't drink) I was recommended the non alcoholic cucumber mint lemonade, and i ordered the chicken and waffles. The chicken and waffles had a twist with Mexican street corn and other delicious flavors that went so well together I feel i could eat it everyday. 5 stars all around would recommend.

Shrimp Enchiladas

Lenvil provided excellent customer service and he hand crafted an exceptional tasting hibiscus flower margarita. I will definitely return to this location.

Mahi taco was good, but the street corn was pretty bland. We did order the poke tacos and those were delish as well as their complimentary chips and salsa. Kids loved the churro waffle. Salmon dish was ok but the potatoes that it came with weren't that great. Margaritas weren't mixed that well either. It took quite a long time for the food to come out, but our server totally made up for it... He was so nice and funny. The place was really clean which is already a huge plus.

Great service amazing Granada Guacamole appetizer and the shrimp tacos so delicious Texas barbecue and Cancun Taco amazing

The tables decorations were very interesting. They added a cheery atmosphere to lunchtime.

The best Mexican food in Newark. It compares favorably with Taco Grande in Wilmington on the river walk.

I enjoyed the bacon and cheese potato kegs. My wife and I split the BLT and grilled cheese. Hers came with a side salad mine with shoe string fries. My son has the salad. Salmon was very good, it was vodka cured; bloodline and skin removed (+++)! Grain was pretty busy for mid-afternoon on a Sunday. Modern pub/ sports pub feel. Phillies game on the TVs. Music playing. Service was OK. My one pet peeve is allowing servers to leave dirty dishes and empty glasses on the table. And our server, although attentive, did not clear any dishes or glasses. Thank god I don't have epilepsy, the light over our table kept blinking non-stop. Plenty of off street parking for patrons. Lots of varied seating, both indoor and outdoor. See warning sign in my pics (haha). As far as prices, they are in line with any other places, as far as these other reviews that said it is excessively expensive, not true. Lunches are $15-20. Apps are a little pricey. Nice beer selection in the $8 ish range. Forgot I wanted to get a pan dessert, next time. I paid using InKind and got a nice discount.

Not surprising, as on holiday weekends most students go home so the town isn't crowded like a usual week. Service was friendly, fast and attentive. Everyone's meals were very good, except for mine. I made a bad choice. Skip the hot honey chicken over donuts brunch item. Its nothing more than 3 chicken fingers over what tasted like a couple of dry entemann's donuts. (Missed opportunity..theres a greta bakery across the street..should get fresh glazed donuts from them. The donuts ruined the dish. Other meals were very good. Easter quiche special with hollandaise sauce and fried potatoes was delicious, although the size of quiche slices was kind of small. Burrata avocado toast was great, and so was their cheese omelette. It was perfect dining for us as we didn't want a heavy, upscale meal at 1:30 in the afternoon. Will definitely come back next time we are in town for dinner and drinks.

You know those meals that are so darn delicious that days later your still thinking about it?…read more Well this was that meal!! OMG. In a recent visit to Lancaster I did some searching online for places to eat and followed the recommendations to the Horse Inn. Sooo happy we did!! The food was amazing. My husband says it was the best shrimp and grits he's ever had! My steak tips were equally as yummy. The sauce was out of this world good!! The fries!! Jesus what was that sorcery ?? YUMMMM. Hats off to the owners and chefs! Only bad thing is we don't live close by and we can't go back soon. But we will be back!! Special mention to our wonderful fun server, Luis, who made the experience even better for us! Give that guy a raise. THANK YOU!!

But awesome all the same! For how busy they were, the server was very attentive and very accommodating as we were yapping away and constantly not ready with our orders so kuddos for the team and putting up with us! I love the mystery beer concept, its not great beer, but being from DC at like $2 a can, I am not passing that up, ever. And a cheap beer with a burger is the perfect combo! On to the burger... I have heard that this is a great burger... and I have to conclude that I agree though it is reminiscent of a Big Mac - just way better ingredients - it has to be the sauce they put on it... Anyway, nice size patty, good amount of toppings and a quality bun (not too soft, not too thick, bread soaks up some of the juices but doesn't fall apart). The mussels were quite excellent as well. It was a Thai curry broth the night we were there and it was drinkable, like soup... we did ask for extra bread... enough said. I am going to take a minute too and praise their spirit free cocktails. THIS IS HOW THEY SHOULD BE MADE. They used bitters, tonics, etc to craft something that tasted like a cocktail but without alcohol which means they were not sickly sugary concoctions, but expertly crafted beverages. Just really great options. All that said though, their espresso martini was one of the worst I have had. Just skip that.

Such a mixed review & experience. We made reservations for Sunday brunch and glad we did as the…read moreplace got crowded quickly. On one hand I want to try again for dinner but for the price, I'm not sure it's worth it. Pros: Amazing service - very attentive server(s); we had one in training/shadowing and she was just as good as our primary server, offering refills, clearing plates, overall greet banter Cocktails are fantastic - had the Minnie Ripperton and loved it - creamy yet refreshing and bright which is a tough combo to achieve Cons: Hidden entrance - after circling what looked like an abandoned building 2x we finally figured out the entrance was in the backy and down a set of stairs. I now understand the "speakeasy vibe" but the clutter in the front made the building look abandoned or under construction; not a great start to the experience for us Food service - the other couple we were dining with got their entrees about 10 minutes before ours and we were some of the first orders & diners of the day. Usually you might hold the whole table or refire some of the dishes so it all comes out at the same time. They finished theirs before we even got our to start, making it a strange eating experience Small print menu - with the low light of the speakeasy, the menu had the teeeeniest print I've ever seen making it very difficult to read the menu options. We also didn't realize that the menu changes/is seasonal (not called out on the website) so many of the items we had wanted to try were not an available option. I love a menu that changes but hope it's indicated on the website (aka: sample menu, subject to seasonal change) Hit-n-miss: Fried chicken Benedict- huge portions, amazing biscuits and perfectly poached (but unseasoned?) eggs. I don't know if the hollandaise soaked into the fried chicken or never existed at all - and that's the thing you want with a Benedict. If it existed, it never reached the biscuits because while they were good, but were completely dry Shrimp and grits - perfectly cooked, great consistency, but very under-seasoned Water - just an observation and maybe it's just the local tap water flavor but it tasted off or as off the soap hadn't been washed from the glasses Pro Tip: be aware of the automatic gratuity in some circumstances; if you don't know, check the website before your meal!

You won't finish your food but you'll be excited for left overs !

So this review is going to be short and sweet, but with one VERY important note. Those of you who…read moreread my reviews know I typically review either really good or really "not so good" restaurants. I'm breaking my own rules, because I feel the 3.9 rating is pretty accurate, with one 5 star + exception. This was a business lunch and a convenient location so there we were. The duck fries as an appetizer were good but needed to be seasoned with a little more salt. I had a strawberry salad with some grilled chicken that was good with the greens, but dry as the desert with the chicken and borderline inedible. Here's the twist!!! My two compadres both had the grilled cheese and lobster sandwich. They both looked at me sheepishly and said, you f ed up!!! William was kind enough to break off a substantial bite and let me try it. Angels sang, children wept, and I almost passed out! It was the kind of perfection we all agreed we would have eaten 5, maybe 6 of these unnaturally awesome sandwiches until we passed out! 3.5 Star service, 4 Star ambience, and some 10 Star bites! Cheers, JimG

The staff are nice, but service and the kitchen seemed a bit slow on a Sunday early afternoon towards the very end of brunch despite the area we were seated only had a few tables filled. The Crab Cake Eggs Benedict was nothing special - feeling like a flat, single-note dish.. Perhaps it was that the hollandaise sauce lacked the acidity (usually from lemon juice) to brighten the dish. Or, that the nod to Maryland - the Old Bay honey - drizzled around the edges of the dish wasn't enough to elevate it to something that is savored with each bite. The Fluffernutter Blondie is a good dessert choice if you love blondies and peanut butter. Although, it was a bit drier than I'd like, the texture was still soft.
