We had a delicious lunch breakfast at almost closing time on a Saturday. We both loved our choices. Huevos Rancheros and Stuffed Sopapilla. Mr also raved about the light fluffy pancake he ordered. The waitress brought us everything we wanted and needed. The salsa was excellent. The restaurant had a diner feel to it. Clean, with nice tables. We recommend this restaurant. I had a great time at the restaurant. I had the Encelada and my wife had the mutton stew. Both were excellent. I traded recipes with the chefs and taught a technique they could use on the pork chops and pizza. They gave me the recipe for their green salsa. For being in the middle of nowhere. We needed an alternative local option to El Bruno's, because our mutt was traveling with us. I'm glad we discovered the place. Anticipate the worst food porn photo I've attempted in, well, at least the last 30 days. Del Prado serves up classic New Mexican café chile, more of a sauce, both the red and green. I way prefer more of a raw product. Portions are hefty, the salsa's delightful and the sopapillas wrap everything up in a greasy, lip-smacking comfort blanket. I was happy with the originality of the beans and rice (a wonderful surprise from the same old boring recipe that a million other places serve.) the enchiladas were very delicious. Super nice people. Definitely not a traditional Mexican restaurant. A type of local American, Native American and hint of Mexican. Very odd flavoring in the ground beef. Chips stale. Beans and rice not Mexican at all. Basically a cafeteria style American food place. Over food was odd so we couldn't finish it, but tried as we didn't want to be rude. Great casual New Mexican cuisine. My partner and I stopped by on our way to Chaco Canyon from Santa Fe around 11 on a Wednesday. We wanted New Mexican, so we stopped here. It's right off the highway, so super accessable and convenient. I ordered juevos rancheros. I'm vegetarian and gluten free so eating out can be a challenge, she said the beans usually are cooked with bacon, but after further investigation, found out today the cook hadn't added bacon to the beans today. Also green Chile doesn't have meat. Hash browns we're crispy. Eggs perfectly cooked to over medium like requested. Beans had a great smoky flavor, but still didn't see any bacon, which is great for me. Green Chile had a phenomenal umami flavor with a little bit of a kick in terms of heat. My partner got a burger, which comes with crispy fries. The waitress brought all the condiments out with the burger and you add them yourself. Veggies were fresh and could be described as the perfect diner burger. Through chatting with the waitress we discovered she's the owner and has owned the restaurant for 30 years. Super friendly, responsive, and attentive woman. This is the type of business I'm excited to give my service to. read more

Indian fry bread with honey delicious and I even saved some for desert. This is a tiny town in very rural New Mexico so understand this is great local food not a foodie hideaway. The sopapillas are good (which are hard to mess up). Everything else is quite dull and bland.

The food isn't amazing but it is pretty good. Really great service and everything came out quickly.
