Awesome beef burrito. I love this restaurant. Clean, warm, and friendly staff. I highly recommend.

On Horrible, service, food, dining room so cold. Don't waste your money there. What a horrible way to treat paying customers. I ordered a bacon burrito. I asked the waiter for extra bacon. Hash browns, cheese, but no beans or hot sauce. I received the opposite of everything. What the hell? I got a small breakfast burrito, bacon bits were mixed into the scrambled eggs. The hashbrowns were absolutely disgusting. No cheese anywhere. The menu did not declare scrambled eggs and bacon would be bacon bits mixed in the scrambled eggs. This was a good place to eat, not any longer. What a waste of $32.00. I will not return.

Halfway through the huevos rancheros and the lightest pancake too!

We had a delicious lunch breakfast at almost closing time on a Saturday. We both loved our choices. Huevos Rancheros and Stuffed Sopapilla. Mr also raved about the light fluffy pancake he ordered. The waitress brought us everything we wanted and needed. The salsa was excellent. The restaurant had a diner feel to it. Clean, with nice tables. We recommend this restaurant. And we always have fun in Cuba, NM.

The worst Carne Adovada with red chile photo you've ever seen.

3.5 stars. I don't want to ding this clearly beloved café for not living up to my personal chile snobbery, the food was good. We needed an alternative local option to El Bruno's, because our mutt was traveling with us. I'm glad we discovered the place. Both employees, whom I assume were partners/owners, were friendly and efficient, they delivered the goods to our car (thanks Delta Sigma Theta, er, whatever we're calling you these days) and, yes, we dined a la Prius. Anticipate the worst food porn photo I've attempted in, well, at least the last 30 days. Del Prado serves up classic New Mexican café chile, more of a sauce, both the red and green. I way prefer more of a raw product. Portions are hefty, the salsa's delightful and the sopapillas wrap everything up in a greasy, lip-smacking comfort blanket. The price is right, support a mom 'n pop shop, and if you turn into that McDon't drive-thru instead, a pox on you, sir.

Best pancakes I've had in awhile.

Great food, reasonably priced, and the staff is wonderful. Worth the stop!! Hubby had the patty melt and was thrilled with the perfectly carmelized onions. Hard to find nice dinners. Update: Had breakfast here to before getting on the road, we were not disappointed. Fantastic food!!!!

The best green chile chicken sandmy ever!

I have no idea if their other food is good, but you have to stop in and try the green chile chicken sandwich on a tortilla. The sauce is a combo of green chile and gravy and it is soo good. The chicken is tender as well. Their hot sauce is pretty damn hot so watch out

Pretty blah. Overpriced. 42 bucks for lunch for three. Charged for extra sauce buck. Buck for a jalapeño. Just kind of a rip.

Yea, Yelp! Another…read morefantastic find in a kinda out of the way place for me and my party. CASH ONLY! before I forget. Adam is the perfect person to introduce one to his family's establishment. Explains everything for the newbies. Patient and erudite. Such poise in such a young person. It's a small dining area. Clearly a local fave. Phone was ringing off the hook. But many clearly knew their way around. A few ppl walked in, placed their order and said they'd be back at such and such a time. There's only a small kitchen We got to mean Domenic, our cook A sweetheart and a skilled chef. The food itself seems straightforward and pretty simple, but each dish had its own flavor which I think is pretty hard to do and each was so satisfyingly delicious. I think I would've bn satisfied with just the menudo and the half order of nachos, but didn't know it at the time we ordered so we went on and got the El Faro burger, my friend ordered the cheese enchiladas and of course we got the chile Christmas on the side. Fantastic! And a tremendous value. We were quite shocked that our entire meal, including 2 sodas came to less that $40, such that we left double that bc these small businesses are such treasures and we want such places to remain in business. Seemed there were quite a few locals but also lots of travelers coming through. I certainly plan to be back soon!

I can't recommend this place. I'm sympathetic to the difficulties of running a restaurant in a…read moresmall, isolated location, but every dish we had used canned green chiles and stewed tomatoes, an absurd amount of cheddar cheese, and was prepared in a microwave (which you can hear if you are seated in the restaurant). The enchiladas consisted of small hard bits of meat scattered through a soupy mix of shredded cheese and watery red sauce. I understand that this restaurant has a storied past, and was previously a favorite stop for many former governors. But I fear those days are long past.
