No one checked on the car or me when I drove of the wash to wipe the windows dry until I called someone over and all they did was dry my mirror and front window, When I returned home to look at the car, the hood and top of my car looked like it hadn't been cleaned! It had a black soot- like looking residual of which I had to use elbow grease to wash it off. Also, on the passenger side was a black line I can't scrub off!? Unfortunately, It looked worse than before I had it cleaned. I keep my car pretty clean so I don't know what happened. Maybe they need to clean their electronic brushes and mops. Having driven from SoCal, the front of my car was totally encrusted with bugs. The staff used long scrub brushes to remove that difficult layer before going through the washing machines. It turned out very well! So request that to be done if you need it! read more

It has the full service interior/exterior car wash in about 3-4 different flavors and price points ( including choice of air freshener scent... I like Vanilla, but maybe that's why I always want Ice Cream when I am driving?). But it also has a cheaper exterior wash only like at your Chevron or Shell stations, in a separate outside lane. It also has gas pumps, and a DIY area where you can do your own interior vacuuming. Of course there is the walk through auto-centric convenience store to pay the cashier, and benches outside to soak up some Del Rey Rays of sunshine as you watch the hard working men and women clean your inside windows and dash area or prep your tires with Armorall ( if you paid for it) conveniently located where Del Rey Oaks, that pizza slice community, meets Seaside and Monterey. I've been here a handful of times and this is my carwash of choice when I don't want to wash it myself. I prefer them over El Estero. El Estero uses this milky white cleaning substance that leaves every surface super slick. I always get The Works at $38 and leave a tip. Seems steep but they always do such a high quality job and always feels like money well spent. They get the nooks and crannies and rarely miss a spot. Maybe I'm just lucky after seeing some of the bad reviews here but I have no complaints at all. This place is almost always busy but I rarely wait here more than 15-20 minutes. Great little car wash in Del Rey on Canyon Del Rey Blvd, close to Fremont. It may look like a small little place, but they pack a lot of punch into it! You can get gas, snacks/drinks and your car washed there. You have the option of an exterior express wash (where you stay in your car) for $10- or full service. They also do car detailing, when you need more than just the usual wash. The car wash includes vacuuming, exterior wash and windows cleaned inside & out. The only place locally where I could find an automatic car wash that included self-serve vacuums. Price was $12. If you just need to use the vacuum, it costs $3. At Del Rey someone hand dries your car (albeit quickly) after you exit the car wash bay, which is a nice touch. There is only one row of self-serve vacuums, so I had to wait a bit for customers ahead of me to finish vacuuming. Overall, decent place to get a quick automatic car wash. read more

This car wash used to be great, you would leave with a CLEAN car. Now it's gone down hill, the owners are very nice & i feel for them because it's the employees. I have gotten 2 car washes there this month. The first time, it took them 10 min just to get my car out of the wash, they were moving VERY slow..I waited 45 min with 1 other car, it wasn't busy AT ALL. I asked how much longer, they said 20 min I said I gotta go in 5, they mumbled in spanish & guy cleaning yelled done & was just starin at me all wierd. The front wasn't even wiped down & they left ALL there dirty green towns in the back of my car. Came back because it wasn't finished & it was worse then the first time. They rushed it this time, I looked and yet again the front wasn't even wiped down I pointed spots out they started spraying and wiping again and said " ok that's it, we tried" but they didn't.. If I can wipe off a spot off with my finger /sweatshirt then why can't they get it off ? I paid $33 for this car wash and it looked like I didn't even get it done.. I was watching the woman clean other cars & again they were softy just swiping towels & talking to each other more then working. I unfortunately won't be coming back for a while. I will call a detailer. I shouldn't have to buy armarol wipes right after a car wash & guess what .. The armarol did a better job then the 2 men working the car wash. The owners of this place need to look harder for ppl who actually wanna work .. Not just lazy employees who do a half a$$ job then wait for a tip.. Oh and they also get a attitude when you say , you missed a spot. Its unfortunate that employees like this are ruining these small businesses. We waited for over an hour to get our car cleaned. I felt for the price we were taken advantage of. Our car was dried before they even started to clean it. Lots of streaks and the inside looked like it was hardly cleaned. Several people had waited for so long that they were just getting their car back and leaving. If you can't keep up with the volume then you should really limit the amount of cars that you bring through. For over 65$ and not having a clean car is super frustrating. The Del Rey car wash is hit or miss in the quality of their performance depending upon who is working. Del Rey offers different packages for washes with different prices. Depending on what is picked reflects the price you will pay. You can have the interior cleaned and polished and you can also get a spray on polish and wax which is an additional cost. My last visit here cost me $45 without a tip. What really angers me is that I had some items stolen from inside of my car. I had a very expensive chamois towel that was new and still in the tube stolen. I also had a keychain with a Buddha that was stolen. When I mentioned this I was told that their employees don't steal. What a joke. Also the job was not worth the price. The attendants did a deplorable job with the interior. Another thing I don't like is that many of the staff never say Thank you when handed a tip. Talk about unappreciative. Anyways I advise anyone who reads this to make sure you have nothing of value left inside of your vehicle. Staff here have sticky fingers. read more

You get what you pay for. I paid $32+$5 tip. They washed the exterior, they touched up my tires, cleaned my mirrors, vacuumed, threw out my trash, wiped down the interior, and added some scent. My car looks very good and I was in and out in under 30 minutes. Sure, they didn't get through every single crack and there's some spots here and there but again I was in and out within 30 mins which is what I wanted & I simply didn't have the time to do it on my own. If you want a better job and expect perfection (or your car is too dirty) go get your car detailed for $100+ and be ready to set aside a chunk of time to drop off your car & be carless for hours (been there, done that). read more

The self serve is perfect, because they have a conveyer belt wash that is more extensive than most. Then, I can do a complete job of vacuuming everything inside. We were leaving for a short trip right when I got off work. When my husband dropped me off for work, I put over 500 cash in the glove box of my car because I didn't want to take it into work. While I was at work my husband took my car and got it washed at Delray car wash and forgot the money was in the glove box. When he picked me up from work, I noticed the car was washed and asked him if he had taken the money out before, dropping it off at the car wash. He said no. Honestly I would not even give them a one star, the last few times I have been there I have been very disappointed with the service. I traveled to SoCal via 5 freeway and there's lots of bugs. I asked them to please concentrate on getting the bugs off the grill of my vehicle , it was suggested I get the $35 wash to ensure this. I paid for the "expensive" wash and of course they expect a nice tip or they give you sideways looks. Honestly I don't know how they can charge so much and do a half ass job. On both occasions, they left the back of my car dirty and left my rims with dirt on them from the car wash... And inside the car looked like it had been barely cleaned at all. There was dirt in the carpets, in the cup holders, and even on the dashboard! OK but I bought a brand new car and wanted to get a nice car wash, so I took it here and it cost $24. There were still some mud in between the license plate and the trunk. The worst part is, they wiped down all my interior with dirty rags. The lady inside tells me to talk to the supervisor, he says it doesn't smell like anything. So then I buy an air freshener which cost five more dollars, turn on my air and the smell of dirty nasty water fills my cabin. I can not recommend this place and will be self washing here on out. I went on a Wednesday at 12 o'clock and it Took way too long to Wash and vacuum my car. From the time I dropped my car off to pick up it was 50 minutes. My car waited for 40 minutes in the drying area before anybody touched it. I was waiting with a toddler running around. I was really disappointed. Plus they didn't do excellent at vacuuming. There were still crumbs in the cracks of the seat. I recommend going to the other one in Monterey their way better and faster. So don't come here if you're in a hurry at all. read more

Absolutely awful experience! The guy directing cars into the tunnel put my car right up onto the rail. then back me up. Then told me to go right. And told me to go straight. Then told me to go left. Then told me to go back.... It was a circus! When I put my window down to ask specifically, which direction he wanted me to go, he abruptly shoved his hand through my window, and violently started turning my steering wheel. as a woman, it was very shocking, scary and violating. No one speaks English, or speaks very little English. Super frustrating when trying to communicate with the manager in his broken English ... very chaotic front desk dynamic. Things have really gone downhill with this car wash since I started going many years ago. I will not be going back. read more

Service is "hit & miss" staff seems too pressured to get to the next car and attention to detail is lost. Paying 39.00 for a premium wash and finding bug droppings on my freshly washed car, water not dried off of car completely and the interior wipe down is less than satisfactory......... The same with El Estero..... I don't feel like I should have to inspect my vehicle before leaving and then having to point out staff mistakes. Also, if a car wash staff sees that there is sap or a problem area, they should point this out so a customer can take care of it if they are not going to...... Brought my Mercedes for a $75 hand wash, which was supposed to include interior vacuuming and wiping of the interior and windows. Car was ready in 30 minutes, the mats mats were not removed or vacuumed, the exterior was ok not what I was expecting for $75. You can tell there is more emphasis in getting cars in and out rather than the job itself. Won't be coming back as my expectations were not met. read more
