For food, Ralph's and Jimbos have a large variety of items. Bed Bath & Beyond, Cost Plus, CVS, and ACE hardware cover most everything else. Karl Strauss is a great place for a beer. Miguel's has decent food and a nice bar. Napizza is decent. Plenty of parking but it can busy and the lanes are a little narrow. It makes it hard to drive around safely with pedestrians walking around. Sometimes I get a little disoriented because the layout.

That left us years ago and changed into a couple of other popular places. The parking spaces feel like they are designed for a golf cart. It can be tight. Your full size car is going to barely fit! Be careful! Not every driver has the reflexes to safely operate their vehicle. Some of the center received a bright update versus the previous dark structures. Smart move! The Starbucks here has a weird drive thru layout. It used to be a bank and then a Taco Bell before it was converted. A barbershop and massage shop are also located here. There are also some business I have not visited like the bar, dental office, and dance studio. They have plenty of parking. Place is well lit night at night. The location caters to those living on the west side of I-15. It is convenient and closer than driving to the other side of Rancho Bernardo.

The recent addition of a new drive-thru Starbucks has brought more people to the Shopping Center. I found this place completely by accident. The recent hot weather had left a lot of empty water bottles I wanted to refill but I could not find any Glacier Water machines around. So my daughter told me she knew where one was "at the top of the hill, past the dead end." On a scorching afternoon, I drove up and followed the street left. Eventually, I discovered Westwood Shopping Center, with a CVS anchor tenant that had a Glacier machine out front! Praise God! What charmed me about Westwood, was that other then the CVS and free-standing Starbucks, all the other businesses there seemed very mom-and-pop. There was a bike shop, yummy-looking pastry shop, Marco's Pizza, a non-corporate hair salon and manicure/pedicure shop. It got me nostalgic and thinking that this was how strips malls were before they were overrun by corporate chains and impersonal stores with no emotional ties to the community. Therefore, I plan to go back for a spa pedicure, grab a rich pastry at Edelweiss and maybe a pizza to go. Oh, and fill up some more empty water bottles too.

They have a Sprouts for groceries, at home for home items, Dick's for sporting goods, and several clothing outlet stores. The Barnes and Nobles is decent. I prefer their Escondido location but this is convenient when already here. The mall and the 3 adjacent malls pretty much cover the needs an average household.

The location at One Paseo is one of my top 5 faves. Parking is adequate. The recently installed a "Premier Paid Parking" option on the 1st level of the parking garage. You can easily just scan the QR code and pay - the only thing that's not cool about this is the minimum amount of hours they have is three hours. They need to have an option where it can be 1-2 hours. I've never stayed for three hours or longer here. However, there is free parking on multiple levels of the structure. Yesterday when I came during the day on a Thursday... It was quite packed! There are customer service of staff at Sephora, Pigment and Salt & Straw is amazing. They have a nice selection of stores such as Roark, Fjall Raven, Faherty, Lululemon, Marrow and more. As far as restaurants, they house North Italia, Jan's Health Bar (their smoothies are my fave esp the Chunky Monkey), Postino (great menu and happy hour menu), Nick's Del Mar, Shake Shack, Cava and more. My ultimate most favorite thing about this place is that it's extremely pet friendly! My favorite thing to do is after shopping I go get myself a scoop of ice cream at salt and straw and then sit and eat out on the sitting area outside with my dog. Pricing at One Paseo is anywhere from mid to moderate to high. my reason for my four star review instead of five is the premier paid parking. The three hour minimum isn't cool with me.
