Ok where do I start??? I grew up on Del Taco which is original to Barstow CA my hometown. We"re not talking the Del Taco's near my current home in San Diego which is different. ALL the Barstow Del Taco's serve amazingly DELicious food, for example: French Fries, order the Macho Size with a side of dressing and add ketsup, begin dipping!!! Taco, well lets just say you can't get a better fast food taco than here, it comes with a tomoto slice, cheese and lettuce, I add a packet of hot sause to each one I eat, Fantastic !! Other great items: Green Burrito, Bun Taco and Taco Salad, You can't go wrong at any Barstow Del Tacos. If your just visiting Barstow or driving thru on your way to Vegas stop by Platas too, it's another place we love and miss!! read more

OMG i love this place!!! THE ORIGINAL Del Taco, are you kidding me!!! I have lived in Barstow for about 10 years now, this is and will always be the best Del Taco there is! I am a particular lover of their Deluxe chili cheese fries OMG! Not to mention their burgers, chicken, azada, and fish tacos! Those are my favorite, but their menu is way bigger than that! This is the OG Del Taco and it's pretty awesome. As soon as you walk in, you can tell this Del Taco is different than the others. There is a lot of seating area as well, and this place sure does get busy with many Vegas goers. The food was much better compared to other del tacos. My half pound green burrito felt significantly bigger, with more cheese and sauce, which I love. One other cool thing is that they have sauce packets and napkin dispensers at every table. They also bring the food to you unlike other Del Taco's. Finally, a lot of their wrappers are different than the other Del Tacos. The only reason I took one star off was because their pricing is much higher than other Del Tacos. Fortunately, you do get better quality food than the average Del Taco. I suspect they have the high price because it's usually tourist who stop in here on their way to Vegas. read more

Tired and hungry from a very long drive, we rolled in about 10pm. It lifted our spirits with a very clean restaurant, organized condiments, everything from lids and bags readily available and generous portions of food. Even one of the staff was signing happily. Nice experience. read more

Del Taco - Yummm - Fast Food Near Me - Barstow, California

Barstow (well Yermo to be exact), is where it all started for Del Taco and all the Barstow Del Taco's are good; and if I'm not mistaken, this one, which is the most accessible off Interstate 15, is the second or third one in the franchise. Anyway, when you're on your way out, or coming back home from Las Vegas, you can't go wrong with hitting up one of the Barstow Del Taco's and stuffing yourself for the long haul to Sin City or last leg home, by far the best of the best as far as Del Taco is concerned. Service is better, they have old school items like the Bun Taco and the Taco Salad Cup, plus the portions are way bigger and more items on the menu. For me, no trip home from Las Vegas is complete until I pull off the 15 and load up at this Del Taco. read more

I've ordered two different burritos, the 1st one was the Del Combo, and the 2nd one was the Spicy Grilled Chicken! Both were definitely, delicious! Freshly grilled marinated chicken, cilantro lime rice, slow-cooked beans made from scratch, tangy green sauce, and freshly hand-grated cheddar cheese, wrapped in a warm flour tortilla, makes me feel all happy just by enjoying them burritos! This is my favorite fast food in town! Possibly the best chili cheese fries anyone can get if you're looking for something simple and yummy I'd advise to go to his del taco they are simply the best! For at least 25 years I've been stopping here each way to Vegas or the river. Pretty much religiously as many of my friends know. But the food quality has gone down and this weekend they screwed up our orders on the way out and on our way home. The portions used to be amazing and now I think they are less than the one two blocks from my home. I think the tradition is going to come to an end. Basically they are starting to be like every other Del Taco, nothing extra special like they were. This has been the case the last 2-3 times we've visited since November. Save your time and visit 1st street or lenwood. The amount of times my order is wrong here is more than the times they get it right. I ordered a macho taco salad with beef AND chicken, paid for the extra meat and it only comes with one or the other. Ordered the same item, asked for no chips, and for some reason they thought that meant no topping at all so I had a plate of lettuce with meat... heck one time I even ordered a chicken burrito and it only had beans and cheese lettuce tomato in it. 1st street is best. read more

We just stopped at the Barstow Del Taco on Lenwood because it had more yelp reviews (222 vs 30). BIG MISTAKE! Should've stuck to our usual "return from Vegas" plan and gone to this Del Taco on Mountain View. The Mountain View tacos were always so much better! Barstow Is legendary in my family for its delicious Del Taco. They don't "Half-ass" anything. The food tastes great. They fill up the tacos (Unlike ones I've had in Vegas), they bring the food to you,and sauce packets are provided on the tables along with napkins. This place has been a family tradition pit stop since before I was born. I recommend stopping here to fill up during a long trip. read more

I was told this is one of the original gangsta Del Tacos. Ask for the seasoning on the fries -- apparently they don't have it at the other Del Taco's. Any and every Barstow resident know that the mountain view Del-Taco is the best Del-Taco there is. Their staff is always courteous and friendly, professional, and the food is always excellent.
