Food was ready and piping hot when we got there, very efficient! The interior is nice and cheerful and kept clean. The two of us shared a 3Pc Signature Spicy Chicken and a 6Pc Bone-In Wings with Ghost Pepper Rub. The 3Pc Signature Chicken was on their $6 Faves menu and could be customized. We got a piece of chicken breast and two pieces of chicken thighs which made a great deal for $6. The chicken pieces were huge, especially compared to some other places where the pieces are getting smaller and smaller. Skin was crispy and meat was plump and juicy. I really liked the flavor of their spicy chicken. The wings with ghost pepper rub were decent, not excessively spicy at all. Customer service was terrible . The workers there seem to not care about the customers . It's started when we first walked in. There were no greeting or had a friendly atmosphere. We didn't know we had to order from the kiosk so we came to the counter. Workers were mad because we didn't know how that was supposed to be. They had a bad attitude and were rude about it. We spent over 80 dollars worth of food but were missing a drink when the order was served. We tried to tell them but the girl argued but when we brought her over to show. She counted and then told me I was missing a specific sweet ice tea instead of a unsweetened tea. I knew I was missing a drink but just didn't know which one. Why did she insist to argue like we were lying after spending almost a Bill at Popeyes. It's not the drink, we could have bough a thousand more if we wanted to but that's not the point. Clean bathroom, clean dining area, drive-thru window, shared parking lot- lots of foot traffic here, and good food. When hubby asked about having Del Taco for lunch but saw Popeyes, I said "Popeyes!" The chicken sandwich at 5.49 each, is one of my favorite chicken sandwiches, with thick cut pickles, mayo, soft bun, good size chicken piece, and inside good packaging. Mmm. We don't have this a lot but when we do, it's a treat. It hit the spot. All of us are satisfied. Convenient location near the freeway. It is hot af right now. 104 to be exact. And the people who work here are all awesome. We watched patience and acts of kindness while waiting for our food. People were hot and they gave them ice water and allowed them to cool off in their restaurant without buying anything. But that makes me happy because watching people be good to others renews my faith in humanity. Oh, and the food is super fresh here. Don't go to this place if you value your time. We just finished visiting this place Saturday Jan 4th at Aprox 6:45. Took over 15 minutes to get our food. When we got there there was 1 family in the lobby who was waiting for their food. I ordered my families food and sat down to wait. More people came ordered everyone standing around waiting for their food. Lots of employees seem to be in the back, lots of cooked chicken and prepped food but much of the employees seemed confused and kept re-reading orders, placing food in bags taking them back out correcting orders. Strange they would have inexperienced employees at a peak time like Saturday night. Not much food seems to be leaving the kitchen. When I asked the cashier who took my order when my order would be ready, she started straight at me and ignored the question. I assumed she didn't hear since there was so much back ground noise, I moved closer and asked again. She again looked at me and continued to ignore me completely. Her response was so obviously a choice that when I looked at other customers around they all seemed puzzled at her choice of non-response. I then turned to the manager who was further away behind the counter who heard me clearly and came to assist. He went to the person bagging the food, she said had just finished the order. Manager handed the order out We then proceeded to eat only to find the order was wrong and had to request a missing sandwich. And by the way, cashier seemed to perk up and answer other customers questions ( asking where their food is... everyone was waiting for their order). We come here often because my family goes to Vegas every few weeks. The food here is pretty good and comes out fast, but the service needs help. The Mexican girl with two braids and wears glasses, handling chicken up front avoids everyone coming up to the counter and does not know what the hell she is doing. One small chicken sandwich with two tiny sides and a drink for almost $13, their plate deal! Awful!! Very bad quality food. The rice and beans had a metallic taste and we could not eat it. Extremely small portions (about 3 tablespoons) the same with tiny amount of bad tasting mashed potato. The chicken was not crunchy and had no flavor in a soggy small bun for $5.50 ! The coke tasted off too! Perhaps the water is bad in Barstow and so all tasted very chemically. I do not recommend Popeyes at all!! Paid almost $30 for the worst food ever!! I'm a local who doesn't go to Popeyes very often, and last night I was reminded why. The food was extra greasy, flavorless, and handed to me in a bag covered in... I don't know, gravy? Red beans and rice? Who knows. I had to ask the young lady at the window for napkins to clean it off, and was given a "my bad" for my troubles. The fries were a bit mushy, and I was given 4 thighs but no breasts. That worked out for my dark-meat-loving family, but I'm the breast-only family member who got the shaft. Overall it was good, but I just don't get the hype of it. Four piece meal was good, sides were a tad dry, the Mac and cheese and jambalaya. Seasoned fries, ok as well. Clearly, fighting over a chicken sandwich. Come on people, it's a sandwich. It was good but in my opinion, not worth waiting in a long line for. Hence I finally tried it as there was no line here. Probably the best thing about this place was that it was pretty easy for me in and out. I can't speak for everyone else. Order was fast, didn't take long for food.
