However, the entire army seemed to be ahead of us in line. It was a platoon headed to the desert for training. They were calling order numbers in the 80s when we ordered. Our number was 49. We ordered 4 burgers, and two orders of plain fries. Heard our number called quick even though there was a long line. It's a busy location but people come and go after they've ate. Barstow is a nice pitstop between LA and LV. The biggest plus about this location is that there's two women's bathrooms. However, due to this being a busy location, the bathrooms typically are pretty dirty. Floors are gross but the tables are clean. There's a staff member who is always cleaning tables. read more

Go through drive through and they have someone taking orders outside to expedite...after the order, kid asks if we are eating in the car...did not know why he asked, but as we got our food, it was clear they were helping us out! The service is nice and quick with the quality food that meets the need for a double double cheese (add chopped chilis if you like a little kick). The one time I had to wait I got out and went in just to stretch my legs, there happen to be two busses full of hungry people. Can't stop people from eating. Lots of seating inside and outside. Yes, all In-n-Outs operate like clockwork, with consistent drive-thru lines to the street. Always staffed to the brim with kids trying to make some after school lunch money. But I want to give a special shout out to the Barstow spot right off Lenwood Road. I always seem to find myself at this location, possibly out of convenience and partially out of comfort. After a 3+ hour drive, Lenwood Road serves as a brief respite from the tedium that is desert travel. I don't fully understand the culture behind Barstow, but often times when I stop by, there are hundreds of international tourists scampering around at the various establishments, like fast food is a novelty activity that must be experienced. Last visit to this In-n-Out, there must have been 500+ people inside. Every table, every seat was occupied. Every inch of that restaurant was shoulder to shoulder of rabid, hungry tourists. There was a backlog of 30+ orders at any given time. So major props to the staff at this particular spot, for having the patience and tenacity to withstand that sort of high pace environment for an entire shift. Whatever In-n-Out is paying them, they deserve more for having to deal with that. read more

Most In & Out restaurants are more or less the same, obviously the menu is the same, but I wasn't the most impressed with this particular location. This location is very popular as it's about 2 hours from Vegas and right next to shopping outlets. My visit took place the Monday after Thanksgiving and 3-4 tour buses arrived the same time I did around lunch time. By golly, the line was wrapped around and down the middle of the restaurant towards the other door. Overall, the cashiers did the best they could to take orders in a timely manner. My feedback has to do with size of the meat patties, they seem extra small and thin compared to other locations. I usually get protein style and had to compare previous photos from other In & Outs. Everything else was as expected compared to other locations. Parking can be hit or miss, but people come and go quickly. Not my favorite In & Out, but it'll do. #43/2023 read more

I've been waiting forever to get my hands on the extra crispy animal fries and double double animal burger again. The cashier asked if I wanted it with cheese and onions. Of course I did.
