When I walked into Goldkost I was greeted by the most amazing group of individuals. I asked about custom jewelry as my husband had made me a ring and we were looking to add some flair to it. The ring is my most precious material item and I needed it to be well taken care of. The designer/jeweler/owner/most extraordinary gentleman aka Gene came from the back room and not only provided me with designs and options for my ring, he answered all of my questions, gave me a tour, and assured me my ring was in good hands. None of the other places I visited gave me options or could answer my simplest questions without making me feel inferior or just flat out didn't answer them. I am beyond thankful for the team at Goldkost for being far superior from start to finish with this process (Which only took a few days to complete)!!! In a world where customer service has seem to gone to the wayside it has been such a breath of fresh air working with Goldkost! I am in love with my "new" ring and it is one of a kind! The lady was extremely polite but could not evaluate it because a certain piece of equipment was not available and she said the Avondale store could evaluate it. She made an appointment for me. It was for 1:30 PM. My wife and I drove the 14 miles and arrived at 1:27. We were told to take a seat behind one woman being served and two other people seated. I told her we had a 1:30 appointment and she said the others were ahead of us; not with appointments, walk ins. I questioned again about the appointment time and she said she would get too us in order of the others. She was polite and said this was the way things are done at E. D. Marshall. Frustrated we took seats, waited 25 minutes then finally left and went to another buyer. It was a totally wrong way to handle customers. If you ever watched Seinfeld, when he didn't get his reserved car, he said to the clerk, "You know how to take the reservation. You just don't know how to keep the reservation." 28 miles round trip to find appointments mean nothing at E. D. Marshall.
