I went in today to get the eyelash extensions removed by Kim. She was very polite and removed the…read morelashes promptly. I appreciate that since it allowed me to get back to work in a timely manner. While removing them it seemed like she didn't find a problem with them but she remained professional either way. I had the lashes from Wednesday to Friday, during this time a lot of lashes fell out which made them a little more comfortable but my right eye was still irritated since the lashes on that side drooped. Maybe I was wrong to complain about the actual lash application being bad but there was definitely an issue with the extensions. I asked for really natural lashes because I don't wear makeup on daily basis and have my hair up a lot so I like to keep them as natural looking as possible. Regardless of my incorrect terminology, I've had lash extensions applied many times so I know what they should feel like and these were immediately uncomfortable and visibly uneven. Unfortunately, my usual person moved away which is why I tried somewhere new. I think that the Lady Code is decorated well, has a nice vibe, and the staff is friendly; it's obvious that they do a good job since they have a following and awesome reviews but all I can comment on is my personal experience and unfortunately it didn't work out for me. Here are some comments from friends and a coworker about the tint and lashes: "The lashes look like they're a week old. They should look better since you just got them." - My friend Karen the day they were done. "Your eyebrows look uneven, the right one is so much thicker than the left." -My friend Jamie immediately after they were done. "I don't see any issues with the application but they are not the right shape and size for you and the lashes look uneven. I can see a lot more lashes on the right side." - My coworker that happens to work at Lash Bar in SF the day after they were applied. (FYI I didn't know she worked at a Lash Bar on the weekends until yesterday).

She will consult with you prior to doing your lashes on what exactly you're looking for and will inspect your eye to see if mink or silk is best suited for your eye. She also consults with you on the length based on her recommendation. It was my first time so I just told her to do whatever she saw fit! Stephanie was really sweet and made my first eyelash extension comfortable and a breeze. She is caring and asks you throughout the session if you're comfortable or if you're cold. I had to use the restroom before she started on my other eye and she was super accommodating and did not sound annoyed or rushed for time. I love my new eyelashes, can't wait to come back to see her. She is extremelyyy popular, literally during my 1.5 hour session, her phone was ringing left and right from clients wanting to book her!

If you have sparse or thin lashes to begin with, don't expect for a reputable lash extension expert to pile on a bunch of lashes on top. That's how they fall out faster and easier. *writing this review as someone who got lash extensions for the first time*…read more TLDR: fair pricing for the skill and artistry, fantastic customer service, skilled in anime lashes which a lot of lash places don't do in the Bay (at least in my research) Worries: I was interested in getting anime lashes and was always afraid of lash extensions looking bad on me because I have one monolid and one double eyelid. I could never find a lash place that had monolid examples, especially for anime lashes. I also have sensitive eyes and was worried about discomfort or a bad reaction. I did extensive research and looked at places all over the Bay. I compared prices, skill, artistry, and good customer service, and ultimately chose Lyna at Skyelash. Retention: At the 1.5 week mark, the retention on my left eye was great! I didn't lose any lashes yet so no complaints, but for some reason, the retention wasn't great on my right eye. Lashes were falling out at the 3 day mark, but I went out of the country right after I got the lashes done so I wasn't able to contact them ASAP. Solution: I hate being that person who complains but I knew they were capable of good retention since my left eye looked great still, so I tried my luck and reached out over IG right when I got back 1.5 weeks later, explaining my situation with my right eye. They were very understanding and accommodating (hallelujah!), and made a one time exception to make it right. They were able to squeeze me in the next day and I'm in love with how they look now! The lead lash artist (not the one doing my lashes) even checked in a couple of times and at the end to make sure everything was as I wanted. The gals working here are some of the sweetest people I've met. I also didn't have any discomfort or bad reaction! I've seen many girls online have red eyes right after due to the fumes, but this surprisingly didn't happen to me and my eyes can get irritated easily. Note: I believe they don't take credit card so it's either Venmo or Zelle.

I also have some unruly brows that want to go down when I want them to go up and we'll address those areas (maybe a few more brushstrokes) at my follow-up appointment in 8 weeks. This was my first time getting my eyebrows threaded in 4 years and I was very hesitant at first because the first time I had it done it was very painful(done at a random shop). However Zara efficiently cleaned up my eyebrows and the pain level was significantly less. The appointment was relatively short and I was happy to be able to get in and out in about 10 minutes. I plan on coming again in the future. Haircut: 4.7/5. The reason the haircut is not 5 stars is not due to the quality of the haircut but rather the time taken. I initially would get a low taper fade and the total time would be about 1 hour and 15 minutes. The quality of the haircut was great and the fade was very smooth with no harsh lines. I found the best haircut was a fade from a #1 in terms of time. Beard: 5/5. Beard trim was done very well and quickly. I typically dislike when my beard is shaved with a foil shaver rather than a blade because my hair is rather thick and barbers miss hairs. However the shaver took down the hair to skin very well and the shape of the beard came out just the way I wanted it. The total time was probably 10-15 minutes. I highly recommend getting a beard trim or lineup if it applies to you. Facial: 5/5. The time for the facial was 1 hour. This was my first time getting a facial treatment and I was very happy with the results and was so relaxed I accidentally fell asleep. The process involved steaming my face, exfoliating and unclogging pores, and then moisturizing. I was shocked when I saw how clogged my pores were. I highly recommend getting this service if you want to unwind and relax. Overall rating: 4.9
