They were very friendly and though it's a take out place there are spots to sit snd eat if it's not too busy. After I placed my order for a vanilla shake and cookie dough shake, I did see they have three or so "fancy" shakes available with lots of goodies inside. McMillan's does NOT do weird gimmicky donuts with fruity pebbles or bacon or lord-knows-what-else on top. They just make damn good old-school donuts and pastries. There's a reason that Michael Solomonov and Steve Cook specifically called out McMillan's donuts as some of the best in the country. While donuts are the cornerstone of this family-run bakery, McMillan's offers so much more than that. One of their lesser-known gems is the tea biscuit with raisins - just crumbly, buttery perfection. Their cakes are never disappointing, and they do an excellent job with decorating them (if that's something you want - if so, just call ahead). They make pretty good seasonal pies, as well. The fruit-filled danishes are great, and they do a nice job with their muffins and sticky buns. We've also gotten dinner rolls before, and they were solid (although with Del Buono's and Deluxe nearby, the roll competition is stiff!). I LOVE bakeries and I visit them wherever I travel.
